Nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen - the stone continues glowing red. The other stones in the group continue glowing yellow. The obelisk and the sand dog stone both still glow.

Frowning softly Mist considers the stones lack of response for only a moment. He circles around towards the lighted stones, pausing a moment as he passes the red one,and steps up onto the very first stone on the left side.
When Mist steps up onto the leftmost stone, nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen - the red stone continues glowing red. The other stones in the group continue glowing yellow, including the one Mist is now standing on. The obelisk and the sand dog stone both still glow.

It was perplexing that was for certain and Mist was baffled.Hopping down he trotted over the the stone just to the left of the red stone and carefully climbed atop it.

Unfortunately, that's the stone that Half-Truth, Jester, and Breach are all standing atop of. He can put both his front hooves on it, but he can't fit on top with them.
Nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen as he steps off the leftmost stone, and nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen as his hooves touch the fourth stone from the left - the red stone continues glowing red. The other stones in the group continue glowing yellow, including the one Mist is now standing on. The obelisk and the sand dog stone both still glow.
Ochre give a small smile when nothing changes, talking to the group. "Maybe once we activate them, our dogs can keep them activated?" She looks activate round the group, there's absolutely enough kin for each stone to have several, but not all of them are working on the stones. "Now, we just need to find the right order.. so far we've had two stones glow red. Unless there is no order?"
Again telling Blue and Bubbles to stay and sit, Ochre calls her other dogs and together they go to the stone left of the one Jester and company are on, this time Ochre picks up Bear and sets him on the stone.

As Ochre is putting Bear on the stone, her leg brushes against the stone. When that happens, it begins to glow red instead of yellow. All other stones remain in the same state.

Nothing new happens that's out of the ordinary - all stones remain in the state that they were in before she backed away.

Feeling a little silly for being so close to a group already crowded atop a stone he pushes off and backs up a little. Considering the arrangement before making his next move.He trots over to the stone Beauty is on and shyly steps up next to them.
(Edit - Thank you so much for the clear picture. I was a little lost there for a minute. Lol. Poor Mist.)

He manages to fit himself onto the stone with Beauty. All stones remain in the same state, however - two glow red, three glow yellow, and the center stone and the obelisk are both also glowing.
"Stay." Ochre tells her pack, flicking Burn with her tail and trotting to the stone directly to the left of the one Bear is on. "Up Burn, on the stone." She says, this time she is careful not to touch the stone as her eaglehound climbs up on it.

Figment of Imagination had been a bit shy on this expedition. There were so many new kin around him, something made him a bit nervous about it all. He had recognized familiar voices – Rouge, of course, was the head of the expedition, and her voice was very familiar. He would have sought her out if she weren’t so busy heading their journey. He heard Rouge’s call to him at some point, and was delighted that she had spotted him at some point in their journey, but he knew that she would be right back to leading their group. He heard, too, her mention of Ochre – and his heart had nearly stopped. His ears perked, and eventually he’d homed in on the familiar voice of a beloved childhood friend. Ochre was there! It had been so long since he had seen her! And he had never dreamed that he would see her again – for all he had known, she was gone forever. Goodness, his chest felt tight with emotion. He wanted desperately to seek her out, but there were so many kin, and with everyone moving so much and so many voices… well, he wasn’t sure that now was quite the time.
He continued to catch her voice a few times over the week of their journey, but had never quite been able to get close enough, or feel comfortable enough to actually ask if he’d found her, or even gotten close. He’d thought about sending Wanders with Roots out to find her, but in the end he hadn’t wanted to distract her from any conversations she was having. Wanders wouldn’t wait for an opening in chatter. And when it came time for rest, he hadn’t wanted to interrupt her rest. Perhaps the wait had also helped him adjust to the news that she was alive and well. Listening from afar allowed her to seep back into his life slowly, which was perhaps much better for his heart.
In the end, he had spent the bulk of the expedition alone – well, not entirely alone. He of course had his sand dog, and she was wonderful company, as always. He had waited at the edges and listen to the comments of those around him. He’d felt the shift of the earth below as they passed over the plains and into the desert, and oh – oh how his heart melted when he felt the shift of dry sand beneath his hooves. He had forgotten how much he’d missed his old home, even if it felt entirely different now. The air was dryer than he remembered, the sun’s rays beat down heavier – but oh, how the winds danced on his fur and sang to him.
The obelisk, he realized as they approached and everyone chatted about it, was familiar to him. It was a fairly well-known landmark in the desert, though Mirage had rarely found a need to come here very often. Still, it was fascinating to know that all this time it had been waiting – for what, they still did not know, but for something. Unfortunately, without sight, there was little he could do to observe any shifts in the glowing nature of the obelisk or its stones. For a time, at least, he waited at the sidelines and let the others explore. It would surely be a bit crowded, and though Wanders with Roots could lead him around, he was not quite ready to venture into a crowd to explore without a friend who could tell him what was happening as they went along. Instead, he listened, and waited for further instruction.

With a sigh, Ocher steps up and touches her nose to the stone Burn is sitting on. At least now it's clear kin need to touch them.
Baby, catching a familiar scent on the breeze, slips away from where Ochre had told her to sit, and trots over to Mirage, giving a friendly yap before nuzzling up against the buck's ankles.
