Tonight was a gorgeous night, and Psykgi approached it refreshed and cheery despite the somewhat stressful night before. She set about her usual morale-building tasks, chatting up trolls and being generally friendly and encouraging (or the appearance of being friendly and encouraging) to all the workers.

She was in the midst of a group of workers - drones and otherwise - going over a mock up of a new component when suddenly she and the others were splashed with freezing cold water. Psykgi ducked at the initial blast of the water stream, as trolls around her sought cover, the expressions on their faces more or less expressing 'same s**t as usual' and 'panic'. Psykgi ducked again as the hose danced with the water pressure, stealing a look at it when it lashed away from her.

Her lusus screeched in a multi-voiced, tinny demand, and she nodded. Ma'am hated water.

It looked easy enough to fix, though - she skipped in, climbed up to the writhing, serpentine thing, and wrangled it back into place, securing it with duct tape. She walked away to the sound of clapping, and changed into a spare suit, fluffing her hair in a mirror until it lay right...

"Well!" she said to a chittering roach, "That was fun." Ma'am disagreed.

As soon as Psykgi stepped out of the changing room, she was accosted by a harried researcher with a sheaf of papers. Seeing her, and - more importantly, seeing her blood hue - the adult shoved the papers at her. "Here!" they said, "Deliver this to Lorata Gorgos!"

Psykgi opened her mouth to say something, but before she could figure out what it would actually be, the researcher was off, muttering something about 'seadwellers' and 'trans-luminal active bolts'. Psykgi closed her mouth, stretched languidly, and shrugged. "Well!" she said to her lusus, who watched from the walls, her shoulders, and her head, "I guess that's that. Lets go find Lorata."

She'd been meaning to seek out and say hi to the seadweller - it had been far too long since they'd last talked. "Ma? Can you find her for me?" Ma'am chirped. She could. She was everywhere. Mostly everywhere. She was well on her way to infesting this building structure. The swarm was growing.

Psykgi laughed. "That's great, Ma!" she said encouragingly. The swarm fluttered around for a moment, coordinating scent messages, and then stopped. All the roaches around her person paused, antennae twitching before heading off as a cloud in a direction. "That way? Okay!" Psykgi said happily, trotting off after them.

She glanced at one of the forms briefly, filling it out as she walked and placing it in an appropriate recepticle - there, that was one less thing that Lorata had to do. Wouldn't she be grateful, or not. Either way... PROGRESS!



(Psykgi is transferring 20 morale and 10 labor to Facility 3)

Lorata hadn't needed to say a word about breaks this time. Clearly the drones in her particular little station of the central hub had realized just how much good her scheduling had done them. The seadweller gave them all a pleased smile as she stepped through to have a look at their progress while they all went back to work, and then she started scribbling away at her clipboard to notate what she'd seen. If they kept this up, their efficiency would be off the charts, and all thanks to her hard work.

She signed the bottom of the sheet, transferred it to the back of the clipboard so she could start on another, and rather abruptly became aware of someone approaching in her peripheral. She lifted her head, opened her mouth to ask whether this was a delivery or a transferral (there was an open spot near that one drone that kept staring at her, after all), and then paused. What a familiar...Ah!

Sliding her pen into a secure spot at the top of her board, she beamed at the redblood. "Psykgi! It seems like it's been such a long time." She glanced over the cloud of what could only be the other teen's lusus before looking back. "I'm glad you chose to stay in Civisect for the space efforts. I heard there were some invitations to the Chittentown facilities going about." A wave of her hand dismissed the very idea of anyone living in her city really considering it, but she clearly thought a lowblood might have been more tempted than she had been.

She was sure there was so much more potential here.

Moving from Facility 1 to Central Hub

Chiara rubbed her temples with her palm. She loved all the hustle and bustle of troll populated areas, but sometimes it was just frustrating. Why did so many trolls have to be so stupid? Was it just something in them that made them make foolish mistakes? Chiara already felt like she knew what the problem was. It was how they were raised. Lusui have such a big impact on how a troll turns out, its no wonder there are so many superfluous trolls out there. The blueblood walked the road, silent in her own thoughts. She wanted to make all trolls better, and her target was to fix or change the lusus situation. But how?

3) One of the machines goes haywire, and you get to be the one to dodge its various flying parts as you try to find the off button. At least you learned a little something about robotics today!

"Yeesh!" exclaimed the blueblood as parts went firing off. She glared at the machine, it was not supposed to be doing that. Obviously the thing was defective. Chiara picked up the toaster sized mechanical thing and turned it all around, trying to find out what was wrong. Then the blueblood spotted the redblood, off by himself. He looked lonely.

Chiara approached the boy. "Hey." She said, smile on her face. Do you have a minute, and any idea how to deal with this?" Chiara held up the machine, smoke was billowing out of it, and there was a rather odd smell to the thing.

Ephias nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the door open. The others should not have been back for at least another ten minutes. As he turned to look over his shoulder, he frantically closed out of the registration window and to a status report... something that at least made it look like he was sort of working.

Thankfully the one that entered was an unfamiliar blueblood. Possibly a good thing... possibly a bad. He had no way of knowing. Although internally he was in a full panic, his face betrayed none of that. He was as stone cold as ever. The blueblood presented a smoking machine to him with a smile. Ephias reeled. She only wanted a little assistance. Okay. Calm down. His shoulders lowered a fraction.

“Yeah, sure... I can give it a l-look.” Hitting the shortcut key to log out, Ephias rose and took the device. It was still warm. “It'll need to cool down first. What department you from? Maintenance?”

"That's the spirit!" Amonee beamed at his friend Nucleo while the greenblood let out a war cry to boost his performance. Civisect was full of creative and exciting trolls working hard to make miracles with this space elevator. He couldn't help but be swept into the enthusiastic mood and the jadeblood began to climb some scaffolding to collect a few fallen parts. It was a hazard to leave them scattered around like this and he didn't want Panili's vision to come true thanks to a few hammers and drills lying around to trip over.

He held the ends of his toga to one side in order to carry the stockpiled goods in it before coming back down. It was a good thing he wasn't afraid of heights since the sky was the limit of the grand structure they were building! Depositing the tools onto a table, he let one of the other organizers handle redistributing them. While he was very good at other things, construction was not on that list!

"Eeeek! Cleo, watch out!" Amonee gasped in terror as a nearby machine exploded and pieces of it flew everywhere. Danger seemed to follow the other boy everywhere he went. After all, he'd fallen off a cliff and been face to face with that dangerous gunman at Bloodfest. This was just further proof of Nucleo's bad luck. The stress showed on his friend's face briefly and Amonee felt pity for him.

"Are you alright? Let's get out of here." He took the barista's hand and led him away from that zone of the construction. There were plenty of other places to work and it would do Nucleo good to get away in case there were any more malfunctions or sudden explosions. Amonee wasn't as rattled by what had happened since he'd been further away from it and shielded by Nucleo's body but that meant he needed to step up and get his dear friend away from the cursed thing in order to forget about it.
