Rocking back, America gave the boy a look of sympathy. Was he trying to keep them from getting hurt? "Honey, we'll be okay. We're here to help folks get downstairs, and it'll be easier knowing you're in safe hands instead of stuck under here."

Alg moved more forward into the room until he was by Jeremiah's shoulder. He braced against him to crouch just enough to see the reluctant young man. His power may certainly soothe him if he agreed to come along, or at least take his hand. But it was a bit hard to convince a scared stranger to do that. "If you take my hand, I promise you'll feel a bit better.. and we can get you out of here." In his most soothing old british man voice. It was all he could do not to put urgency on the situation, but he'd already attempted to knock out one too many kids tonight. shibrogane Magic Hands will soothe if he accepts.

Lily leaned against the doorframe and crossed her arms, making for a lackluster guard. It was hard to stay still when she heard the shouting across the concourse, the sounds of a scuffle and the panicked looks of their group, but she knew if she left she risked leaving Jamie and Thorne vulnerable to attack. It still wasn't a good idea for her to go inside the room itself while they were negotiating--at least with her arms crossed she could at least partially cover the way her fingers ended in tiny daggers. She had to trust that Lucas had the other side under control, that her place was best suited here, even if it didn't sit well with the guilt in her gut. Tail twitching, she kept her eyes up, watching, waiting. Secretly, she hoped not to find anyone else. -- HP: 20 Quote: rolling to search for rogues

They reach out to take Algie's hand, uncovering a shredded shirt and bloody gashes across their chest. It's easy enough to tell what happened: the kid had blocked off a were's swipe and kind of hecked it up. They are coaxed out from their makeshift shelter, inching out on their knees.

Thorne placed a hand gently on the civilian, working to help as best he could. The gashes looked terrible. This one would definitely need medical attention. Sooner rather than later. "Can you stand at all? I can carry you if you need. Let's get you downstairs, yeah?" He glanced up at Algie and Jeremiah. "We need to keep moving. There might be more injured and - " He paused and didn't say the rest, but the unspoken end hung between them like a plague. "But first let's get this one to safety." shibrogane let dad thorne save u precious child

Sucking in air through her teeth, America gazed at the wounds. It was good they got to this room quick as they did. "Hey there." There was the urge to question further. What he knew of the attacker. Did he know of anyone else injured up here? Maybe they got to this room in time, but who knew about the rest? It was a lot of weight, to put on the shoulders of a guy trying to hold on. Who probably thought he was going to die, just minutes ago. She offered a smile, despite it all, and asked instead, as Thorne and the others took care of the boy, "What's you're name?"

Alg smiled calmly, "There we go.." And the soothing feeling was willed to the survivor. They were fairly wounded. "Thank you." Alg looked at Thorne just a moment before offering his other hand to the kid as well. The soothing aura should calm the nerves and take only a easing edge off the pain as they inched closer. "You can wrap them in my coat.." Which he would relinquish when the kid was out.

Jeremiah shifted back to give the others room to help them up. He moved to stand, hands finding their way to Algie's shoulders like they had earlier. "You did good wrapping that one injury up and getting somewhere safe. Now let us do the rest." The detective looked over to America and Thorne, giving each a brief nod because this was good. They were working as a team and helping this person. There would be a chance later for more information, to find out things, but the first priority was their health and safety.

The civilian tries to stand, makes it about halfway and hits the ground again. "Before I hid," they say as they're helped back up again. "There's a woman in the east conference room. And her dog. I saw… a were go in before she did… she didn't come out?" They look at America, focusing. "Uh, Mallory," they say. "Friends call me Mal." Saving someone's life counts as friendship, right? To escort Mallory downstairs, just say you've done so in your next post.

"Pleasure to meet you, Mal," Thorne said in amusement. "I'm Thorne. Mind? Here..."
Bending, he very gently lifted the civilian from the ground into his arms, huffing a little bit from the twinge in his side. Honestly... But this was important. More important. He turned his eyes to the rest of them.
"I'll be back after I drop Mal off, alright? Meet you in the east conference room?" He grinned weakly. "Just make sure I'm following voices, not screams of terror?"
With that, Thorne escorted Mallory out of the room and downstairs.

It's hard to talk for a moment, chest frozen and mind racing, trying to figure out when she'd last seen Lara, She'd gone with the other group right? Or... She manages though, at least enough to say, "Well I'm America, Mal. I'll visit you later, bring you some smelly a** flowers and s**t, so look forward to it." As Thorne takes him down to the first floor, America shoots Falco a wide-eyed look and starts rushing toward the East Conference Room, eyes peeled for anything attack -y. It takes a moment to register Lily as not attack-y, but there's no time to dwell or apologize for the briefly frightened look she shot the were before recognizing her as safe.

The feeling that comes over him at the description makes Jeremiah's heart sink. He knows that woman. He pulls the radio off of his belt immediately and stops when he has to go after America. "America! Wait. I'm radioing the other side and they'll be able to check a lot faster than we can." Jeremiah tries to give her a reassuring smile, and it's there, but so is the worry in his eyes. He does not release her arm, keeping it in a gentle hold. It's for reassurance. "Sergeant Kuroda, we've got a report about a woman in the east conference room. An attacker was spotted going into the room previously."

THE NUMBER IS 15 THE TIME IS 1830 YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY RESCUED YOUR CIVILIAN WHERE TO NEXT?
>RED CONFERENCE ROOM >GREEN CONFERENCE ROOM >UPSTAIRS
WARNING: IF YOU PROCEED UPSTAIRS I WILL ROLL 2 MORE NUMBERS TO ADD TO THE WERE SEARCH
YOUR NEXT GM POST WILL COME AT 0900 HOURS TOMORROW MORNING Rules Amendment As there are ranged weapons present in the game, rules have been created to account for them. As all guns in the game are property of the police department, firing them comes with a consequence of having to explain in a later thread why you fired to your boss. You cannot be damaged by the were, but the gun is a risky proposition. To fire, please roll a 1d10. The damage scale looks like this: 1-4: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to your peer with the lowest health, including you. 5-7: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to the were. 8-10: You fire your gun into the chaos and kill the were. You now have to explain why you wasted all of your deescalation training and killed somebody who was not in their right mind.

Lily locked eyes with America just in time to see the fear was over the other girl's face, but if it bothered her she reacted no more than to raise an eyebrow. It's not like she could exactly blame the redhead--it was hard not to be tense when there were crazed werecreatures about. "Hey, where's the fire?" She called after the girl, taking note of her hurried gait. It wasn't safe to go alone, for the same crazed werecreatures, and so she lifted up from her lean to follow along. It was, despite her earlier reaction, a relief. To not be going alone and to have someone who had proven strong and capable when it came down to action. "Lara...in the East-" Jeremiah's voice had her stop in her tracks, it made sense. It was really logical but Lara was someone she knew, she liked her and the woman had tried to help America through what's been happening to her and...and...she could run fast. America ran all the time and she could run fast and... She didn't know this place. She wasn't close enough. The girl was nodding within moments, despite how it hurt to go along with it. In a rush, she dictated to Jeremiah, "Tell them it's Lara Lupin! Melina knows her! Tell them she has seizures!" And, remembering Sunny's texts, "She has a little dog who needs to be protected too, he's more important than they know!"
