Obviously she wanted us to have the book so that means we might as well put it to use and see if it'll help us get another key." With a nod of his head, he headed with the other two and into the garden. "We can check out the other doors afterwards."

When Jeremiah touches the door, ALL PRESENT AT THE FORMAL GARDEN'S ENTRANCE ARE OVERWHELMED BY THE SENSATION OF UNSEEN BUGS ON THEIR SKIN. It is unsettling, unnerving. Enough to disturb their senses. But they also realize- this is where they're meant to be. Behind this door is whatever they're meant to face.((OOC WARNING: BEHIND THIS DOOR IS A PLOT ELEMENT THAT WILL CHANGE THE POTENTIAL OUTCOME OF THE EVENT. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO ENTER WITH LESS THAN THREE TO FIVE PLAYERS. FAILURE TO HAVE A TEAM PREPARED FOR WHAT FOLLOWS COULD RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE GAME.

Friend… she said…friend, and it was a trick… He hissed through his teeth. He knew he couldn’t get back to where he’d last seen his first…team? But he could try and catch someone else. He thought that ….some of the others had gone… He headed towards the Garden. “HELLO?” He called trying to catch attention. If she could hear everything he said, then she was going to hear him -regardless. He had to try… Autumn needed him. "JER! I mean DETECTIVE" He called, thinking he might have caught sight of a familiar coat.

Jeremiah did not shudder but his eye twitched at the sensation of bugs crawling all over him. "This bloody place," he growled out, looking over to Algie first to make sure the other man was all right. Were they alone, he might have reached out to touch him. Actually, ******** it. He did reach out and touch him, fingers brushing - Chris had been to their house, already seen them together - and then curling briefly at the sound of Zac. "Both work Zac," he said dryly. Then paused. "Weren't you ..." Down in the basement, having followed ... Jeremiah was suspicious of the fact that he was back upstairs and not with the rest of his group. That did not bode well. "Is everything alright?"

“I… hope so?” He said with a ‘grin-grimace’ expression, lots of teeth and abject discomfort. “Let’s… cover that later.” He was not, not getting into information about giant spiders right now. “Look… I learned some things… I mean I heard them… I mean, I think we all need to know this.” “Ok… there was… this is going to sound stupid as hell but I think its important. There was a bird, and I found it, it was chained down like, crazy chained, and its wings were -broken- and it said “She’ did it, it said SHE did it because she said -Friend- But it said that it -tricked- the girl. Like tricked AUTUMN. And And there was this other voice and she said It wasn’t supposed to be this way, that ‘She’ stole them. I know its not the whole story but it feels… important. “It said um… I'm sorry! It wasn't supposed to be this way! She stole them, she stole them from me, THIS WASN'T ME! I was just trying to save… and I don’t know what the last was. but… Its all.. does this make sense? It might not be…” And… This thing happened in the basement and I saw someone and she said “Some trick huh?” Or thats basically what she said… Trick, tricked the girl…friend… Its all… I feel it ok? its stuck in my head that it’s important. I can’t get back to my old group, I don’t know where anyone else is…is it ok if I go with you for a little?” azuredreams got Moons ok to post again

Jeremiah's lips were pressed to a thin line, listening to what Zac was telling him. Thoughts were forming, the unsettling feeling even worse than before. The key in his pocket was a heavy weight. "Absolutely," he replied, "at this point there's likely a reason why you're not with your group and that bit you can tell me later." As obviously it was a thing and Zac was not telling him. Still ... "That information helps, Zac, thank you." The wheels were already turning in Jeremiah's mind but for now he was not saying anything. Wasn't me. Tricked. Stole.The suspiciousness of the spectre of Autumn that appeared. The keys. The entirety of this house. It was too much like a goddamn game. The very thing he had warned people about and yet ... Here they were about to go into a garden. Probably another bloody level. "Let's do this," he said and pulled open the door. The sensation of bugs be damned.

Rabbit stood just inside the entrance for some time after everyone else started moving, indecisiveness hitting him at the worst possible time. He'd heard the cop and the other old man advise sticking together, but when he finally did move, he rather thoughtlessly wandered off alone, climbing the spiral staircase and standing at the landing before heading off to the right.

Luckily, a skeptical Theo followed, several paces away from the skeletal man. He was still barefoot and weaponless, but thankfully he had more sense than the one he trailed. Had he recognized one of his fellow explorers as Algernon Mixlin, he might not have been so sedate and observant, but he hadn't so he was.

Thorne was going to vomit. Actually, he did. Twice. He wasn't sure what he'd just experienced, sure of the after effects of shock and the blanket it put over his ability to swallow and cope with it. They were alive though. Two of them were alive. He sat down and stayed down, and stared at his hands and stared up at Alexis. "Put us on the ******** poster of an apocalypse movie," he said, his voice cracking from exertion. His entire body felt like one giant bruise and he held the key up to the light before dropping it back to his lap. They'd done it. "Now what?" He couldn't help asking Alexis. They had to keep moving forward. The end was the only way to see - to see if Zac and Leila - if they were still actually alive - alright - But that came later. That came when this was finished. daekie shitty post yo they got a key tho woop woop

Alexis bolted upright and gagged, the smell of blood - of gore - still so thick they couldn't quite believe none of it covered them anymore. The jagged gashes from the glass....gone. Just like that. "Are we buying each other waffles," they managed, shaking like a leaf so hard they had to hold onto something - slash - anything. (Thorne's shoulder was the easiest available spot. Alexis carefully didn't think about what that meant.) "Hell if I know, uh - find everyone else? They've got to be around here...or we could check the bedroom, see what lock this fits in."

Aleksy looked at the two men he had suddenly appeared near, a key in his hand and the physical equivalent of three interrobangs on his face. "What the <********> is going on," he said to nobody, at volume. Then he looked at Rabbit, at the man trailing him, and said again, more quietly, "What the <********> is going on." elkbones can u hear me. shouting ******** really loud.

Algie hit the floor like he'd been shoved, flat on his back with jostled glasses and ruffled hair and still holding the strap to the leather bag he carried. It was just in time to hear Aleksy's familiar voice ******** Christ.. it is hell." From bitchy red head to bitchy red head. He didn't get up right away. Just lay on his back in the center of the hall waiting for anything to happen that wasn't this whole entire thing. He was actually about ready to burn the house down and be done with it. Damn Autumn's soul. Why was it their responsibility to save? all of you. there are a lot. cranky old paunchy man hogging up the floor ok

Back here again. God help her, and her selfishness, but Leila was really hoping she'd be sent back home instead. The only thing enabling her to stagger her way back in was the fact Autumn still ostensibly needed help; otherwise she probably would be back on her couch and numbly watching Buffy reruns on Netflix. But that meant Zac must be alright too... right? She wandered around, scanning her surroundings for the familiar shock of blue hair. Her clumsy search turned up nothing, but she did spot Thorne, Alexis and Aleksy in the process -- weakly, she offered each them in turn a silent, sheepish wave. Her peripheral vision caught Algie lying on the floor, too. That looked like a wonderful idea, honestly.

"Okay," Alexis said quietly, trying for 'steady' and 'in emotional control' and getting neither. And again, louder: "Okay. Who's got a key, and who died?" They pointedly didn't look at Leila -- she'd died. They'd seen it. They'd seen her be torn apart like nothing more than a hunk of meat. "Spektor, weren't you losin' your mind last time around? What's the difference here?" Their voice was approaching 'reasonable', now, although still a bit strained. "And d'you know where anyone else is?" Alexis moved away from Thorne, slowly, still testing their own weight; and stared down at Algie with a face best described as immensely fed up. "Get up, Grandpa. 's not a retirement home." They waved an offhand hi to Rabbit, too. Nice guy. Shame he was here.

"Not your ******** grandpa, child." Algie gave Alexis a two-finger salute. He'd been murdered, mocked and now some tiny dingbat was giving him mouth. "You've got no idea what sort of home this is. Maybe it's were old souls go to die." "Jeremiah, Zac and Chris are in the Garden." Where he had been. "There's a bloody hedge maze of horrors.." If he'd failed, did one of them take up the maze in his wake? Hopefully they remembered the few turns he'd made and didn't repeat his mistakes. The closest to compliance was him sitting up, but still on the floor. He glanced around at everyone present, surprised to see how many there were. "Is anyone else finding all of this very contrived??" still refusing to quote like 5 ppl LOL
