Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +2 Barter crop: Treide is using one of her Tarnips! +1 Tickets won: 0 1 Icky! You really picked a rotten ingredient to put in, didn’t you? (0 tickets, +1 quality score) Treide had no clue what crops were, or how you told if they were good or bad. Were they the same as the roots she was used to? The tarnips seemed familiar. Digging in her satchel, she pulled out one of the tarnips and gave it a sniff. PHEW! Nose wrinkling, the redblood held the offending produce arm lengths away as if it would errupt into flames. Grosssss. Oh well. Maybe it was supposed to smell like that? Shrugging, she flung the crop into the pot and slid the satchel back onto her back. Yucky, but done. Good. CD who had since cleaned off his muzzle, sat and stared at his charge with horrified surprise. How in Alternia's wide plains was this girl so smart and dense at the same time? Sighing in defeat, he nudged her away before she could wreak more havoc on the pot.

He'd gathered as many as his little arms could hold and brought them back to his little camp, and one of the other trolls had looked over at him and sneered. "That's all you got?"Engrav had flushed a little and now he was grabbing more veggies. He would have the MOST veggies! Then he'd show that other guy. Unfortunately, he wasn't paying as much attention to the balance as he had before, so he ended up grabbing waaaaay too many tarnips. Tarnips are gross.

"I know this isn't fires and s**t like you've been up to, but there's gotta be something exciting about this Hickville," Guo commented to Leeroi as he headed into the festival. "If not, setting a fire ourselves will probably pick things up," the blueblood added with a grin. Hogdad snorted disapproval behind him. What a buzzkill.
"Anyway, I dunno what's here. Lemme know if you see anything good." He had just gotten a flier one day in shitblood ink about this whole affair. A low-brained lowblood affair, he figured. From the looks of the people in the tents, they sure fit the bill so far. "How much you wanna bet we're gonna step in manure?"
He was full of comments like that; nothing constructive, just pointing out some major differences in castes. None of that inspired him to leave, however. If anything, his pace picked up. What would that midblood do if he took all her cakes? What could she do? Who could stop him from breaking any of the rules? This could be soooo fun.
Thankfully, some oinking caught his attention. Different from his own lusus, and unexpected; Guo wasn't used to being around other snoutbeasts. "Hm?" He looked over, and soon caught sight of the snoutbeast pen. It was gross, filthy, as was the rancher. And that same rancher wanted him to run around in it. "Yo...." he whispered. "Yooooooooo." His voice increased in volume. "I'm gonna take down that oinker!"
And with that, he was off. Guo ran over, hopped in, and went after that goddamn pig.Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 25 seconds Tickets won: N/A! Guouli is not collecting tickets! Kimbley Kitty I'll quote you again post-wrassle!

Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: Nothing! Tickets won: 1 ticket! The tealblood had her head in her hands. "Oh gog, not you again. Please go away." Engrav smiled at her as he sifted through the pile of hay one straw at a time. "You might be able to hide your duplicity from other trolls, but not from me! You can't hide the truth!" It was a painstaking process, but someone had to do it. "Look, " said the tealblood. "You're not gonna find anything. Just... here." She tossed a ticket at him and let him keep looking through the haystack. "Have fun." About an hour or so later, he hadn't really gotten anywhere. Engrav took his ticket and stormed off in a huff. She was tricky. Ohhhhh, she was tricky. But he was trickier. She'd see.

She'd found some old stale bread, a couple shiny toys, a hat someone had dropped. Engrav didn't know what to do with any of it. "Bread goes with stew... right? That sounds right." The enormous bird cocked her head at him and cawed. "It'll have to do."Engrav wished the people stirring the pot wouldn't look at him like that.

"Hold still, a*****e!" Guo yelled, jumping after the pig he was allowed after. He wanted to catch a big one, he really did, but some people didn't seem to get that he had experience with large hogs. Whatever! He had a mighty need and size didn't matter that much. He slipped through the mud, following the oinkbeast as it rounded corners.
As he rushed and rushed, he realized something. Running it down wasn't working. Cursing under his breath, he slip-slidingly turned on his heel and went to cut it off. As he reached for it, it veered out of his grasp. The blueblood fell to the ground, splashing in the mud.
"You little piece of s**t!" He rolled over, glaring at the retreating hog. "You're bacon, you hear me?"Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 25 seconds + 35 seconds = 60 seconds Tickets won: NO TIX FO' YOU

Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! I mean baking. My cakes are: Smoky, Flaky, Stamped unevenly, and Well cooked. Tickets won: 3 tickets! Engrav was feeling pretty hungry again, and he wandered back to the mooncake booth. The greenblood smiled at him as he got his hands all pressed into the dough. He thought he was starting to get the hang of this now! Pretty easy when you got down to it. Almost too easy. His mooncakes actually turned out a little bit worse than they had yesterday, but that was alright he guessed. He saved one for himself and one for Morrimom this time, but she slapped it out of his hand and screeched at him. "But... I made it for you." Morrimom stared at him for a second, then flapped away. Oh well. At least he got some tickets.

"Come on!" He snarled, jumping at it. The piggy squealed, falling under the weight of a whole child crashing down on it. It made an attempt to wiggle away, but Guo pressed his down more, using his whole being to nearly crush the poor thing. "I caught it!" the blueblood yelled. "Suck on that!"
He continued his hold despite panting and sweating. What a work-out! Hogdad stood on the other side of the fence, huffing away with pride. His child had succeeded at something! And no one had gotten particularly injured! Yay!
Guo acknowledged the lusus with a grin. "Hey, Pops, is this one of your relatives or something? I wanna fight one that's pointy!"
But there were none to be found. Guo got up and heard his time. "That took more than a minute? Bullshit! That wasn't more than fifty seconds! This whole thing's rigged!"
He hopped back into the jubilee, brows furrowed. He headed over to Leeroi again. "That was utter bullshit, dude! They won't even let me do it more than once. It's crap!"
Then, after a pause, Guo murmured, "When Glitch isn't looking, you should totally sneak into one of the bigger snoutbeast's pens. I bet you could take care of that ******** in thirty seconds or less."Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Quote: I'm participating in the exciting and vibrant agricultural market! Current crops: 0 Action: Selecting crops! Crop gain/loss: Gaining 14 punkins, 8 totatoes, 8 tarnips Tickets won: N/A (Hemera is participating for tickets though) The night was young, with many stars in the sky. She loved how the plains looked in the glow of the moon and the lanterns; Hemera had never experienced anything like this before. It felt peaceful, homey, compared to other events she had attended recently.
And it helped that Afryse had brought her here; they were both dressed for a nice little outing, and it was certainly helping her nerves from the get-go.
Not long after arriving at this jubilee, Hemera spotted a quaint little crop game. "Gambling...hm." That wasn't really her thing, but at the same time, she had nothing against it. Perhaps, if she played smart, she could do well here. The tealblood had to keep herself sharp, and few other festivities looked as shrewd. "I believe I will take part in this." she stated.
She ended up with a ridiculous amount of punkins, but perhaps it would be in good taste. Who knew! It was all up to chance; if anything, she would make do. That's what trolls were good at.

Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +1 Barter crop: Nope Tickets won: 0 Moving on, Hemera found an even quainter sight. Admittedly, the smell came first, catching her attention in the first place. From what she understood, it seemed trolls were adding to a giant bowl of soup! How trusting! How community-driven! She absolutely loved the idea. The tealblood approached the broth. The bubbling brew looked rather good. She ate vegetables most of the time, and so chose to pick up something nearby to add.
However, somehow she failed a spot check; right as she dropped it in, she noticed some ugly brown on it. Oops. Hemera reached for it, but too late- trying to get it out of the soup would burn her hand, even with her powers. Obviously she shouldn't let her mind wander in the future!

Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! I mean baking. My cakes are: fruity, flaky, pressed too light, undercooked Tickets won: 0 Mera was quickly realizing something as she went from tent to tent: this jubilee really, really had a focus on food. She understood that it was a harvest festival, but she didn't expect that so many assets would focus on the food bit. Crops, stew...the festival would certainly feed them.
Looking at the moon cake booth, the point hammered itself home. Any troll could make cakes, and then eat some. No talk of beetles or any such thing. Very trusting folk around here. Nothing to lose on her end. Perhaps she could even make something for Afryse, since he was so kind to her so often...
Mera rolled up her kimono sleeves and went to work. She had little experience, but having a go at it would give her more! Not like she could quickly grab a point of reference, unfortunately.
Fruit? Sure. Flaky crust? Fine. They could be like pies, right? Because that sure was what her hands were going for as she put the ingredients together. "I...press them now? I see." She stamped the dough, but gently. Too gently. It came out faded. "Is that normal?"
And then, actually cooking it. No one told her how hot or how long, so she played it safe. After retrieving them, the tealblood realized she played it way too safe. They weren't cooked all the way through. That was no good! Afryse deserved better! Next time. She would get it next time.
