Roleplay Response: Though she loved art class, this had to be one of her least favorite assignments EVER! With a few groans, grunts, and sighs, Hailey finished the little kern test whatever thing and turned in her result. She wasn't happy getting such a low score on something in art class, but oh freakin' well. At least it was over!

Name: Malachi Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Even though the arts weren't his thing at all, Malachi decided to give Art class a chance, plus, he'd get to spend more time with the girlfriend during school. That was totally a plus! He was enthused as he took this interesting test! It didn't look like he was doing great, but he got a passing score!

Name: Popple Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Another test?! What was with these teachers today?! With a sigh, Popple just sort of, half assed her way through it. She was pretty please with herself when she got a passing score, though! Not bad for not really trying.....

Name: Nefertiti Final Score:
Roleplay Response: While she wasn't quite sure why the spacing in font really mattered, Nef tried her hardest. It wasn't too hard, but there were some that she just didn't agree with, the way she had it looked so much cuter! At least she passed!

Name: Rasia Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Finally! A test she could actually get behind! As an aspiring model the young Nixie knew she was going to need a knack for design. So this was the perfect test to...well...test her skills. Happily she completed the test and when the results came back her jaw dropped to the floor.
75%?!
This was embarrassing. This was going to be something she'd just sweep under the rug and pretend that it never happened. How dare they give her such a low score! Obviously they had no idea what they were talking about!

Name: Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Raven loved creating costumes and painting his face, but he wasn't sure how he felt about art in general. This 'kerning' thing seemed useless to him, but he still managed to be disappointed in his score. How did he not get 100? He put it down to not caring enough, not willing to bruise his ego.

Name: Zuna Final Score:
Roleplay Response:It took Zuna some thinking to figure out what project xe wanted to do for art class. Xeir first idea was to do a poster presenting a poem or a short story by one of xeir friends, but it occurred to xem that it might get misinterpreted as being xeir poem, which it definitely would not be. Zuna was not a writer--xe left all that to Mary and Xyla. No, it should be something more...personal. In the end, xe decided to do a poster on yoga positions, with diagrams and explanations of what the positions were for and what muscles they used, as well as what they represented. It had plenty of text on it, and just to make things more interesting, it had some images. That should do--what better way to show off typography skills than show off the ability to balance text and images on a poster? Xe rolled up the poster in a tube, put xeir name and class information on it, and turned it in at the beginning of the next class.
Please pick the activity that pertains to your characters stage and fill it in by the end date! Thank you!
JUNIOR + SENIOR:
Kerning
Starts: October 15th Ends: October 31st, 11:59pm EST
Alright...this section was a little difficult even for him, but he supposed learning how to letter things in an aesthetically pleasing way was beneficial. There were plenty of design aspects that required aesthetically pleasing words... like posters... yes, posters... He waited until the students were settled, and then stood up to address them, tail flicking nervously. "We're going to go over fonts and lettering today... Don't assume it'll be easy, it's deceptively difficult and good lettering can make or break a piece. I have some instructions for you on your desks..." He nodded to the papers he'd set on each desk before class started, then turned to the board to start his lecture...
"Alright, now that we've gone over that, I want you to make a project that requires lettering. You can do anything you want. Posters, those... inspirational images people make sometimes... Whatever you want. Have it to me by next class."
Activity Instructions Using this game, play through to complete all of the tests. Screenshot your final score and post it in the thread, anything over 70% passes automatically Include a roleplay response of your nightmare turning in their assignment with a description of what it was If your final score was below 70%, make sure that your turning in post is over 150 words and that will bump up your score to pass. If your final score was below 70% and you want your Nightmare to fail on purpose, keep your roleplay response under 150 words.

Name: Laurel Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Laurel found the test to be initially quite challenging. She generally had problems focusing, but the more parts of the test she did the more she was able to channel her focus. She was actually enjoying it a little at the end, but she felt like her performance was probably pretty bad. When she got the results of her test back she had to stare for a bit. Had she really done that well? Finally a pleased smile appeared on her face, growing until she was practically grinning. Awesome!

Name: Muridae Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Muridae started to sweat as she got a low score on the first one. This was haaaard! Could she even do this? The nightmare slogged through it, growing more and more worried. Finally, she finished, and a tear of joy was shed. She had passed.

Name: Abel Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Abel felt pretty confident about her score. You were basically just supposed to be evenly spacing out the letters, right? She made a few blunders, but still walked away with a pretty good score.

Name: Cain Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Of course Cain got the same score as Abel. Shaking his head, Cain gave a soft sigh through his nose. It seemed no matter what electives Cain took, he just couldn't escape his sister.

Roleplay Response: Rajna was actually a little disappointed in her score. She had expected her well-trained eyes would have served her a little bit better than what her score reflected. Maybe if she had enough time she could practice at home tonight ...

Name: Laviticus Final Score:
Roleplay Response: Laviticus ... hadn't expected this particular lesson in art. It made sense, but he had hoped when he signed up for the class that he'd be taught something ... a little more ... artistic? Laviticus did as he was told, though, and walked away with a somewhat decent score.

Name: Eirian Final Score:
x
Roleplay Response:Eirian had nodded enthusastically during the lecture, taking detailed notes. Not that this was unusual. Eirian always soaked up anything the teacher chose to talk about during art class. It was their favorite class.
When it came time to make the project using lettering, Eirian was at a loss. They had so many ideas they didn't know what to go with. Eventually they settled on an idea of a poster for the next holiday coming up. It was appropriately colored and used fonts that matched the theme. Eirian wasn't all that sure on the kerning, but they hoped they did well enough.
