They both were powerful magic users so I guess you can say magic just runs in my blood, literally!"
Kira would then turn to face Shinon. "Oh, you noticed that? That means my hexes are working, hehe!"
Kira would pause for a moment as she considered the archer's words and glance at the direction of the breaking barrels. "Your right. They will be upon soon. Even if we stick together, we will need our buddies to outlast them. Kira would turn to face the barrels on A28. She would flip through her tome and raise her hand in their direction. "Perhaps we can help clear a path for them to us."

Tibarn thinks about attacking, but then he's like nah ******** that.
Instead he moves to space A91 and has a little chat with Sunil.
"Hey, kid. You holdin' up alright? I feel like we should switch off holdin' point, let the others catch up. If they bumrush us and we're spread out back here, they could really mess us up before we can get healing," he points out. "We just gotta make sure the snake lady from the bar gets here," he adds, rubbing his chin. "You hold point, since they got an archer, and I'll try to cut 'em off if I can. We should fight together more often! It's been too long since I've shared the field with one of the beast tribe this way," he sighed wistfully. "Were you around during the Radiant wars? Forgive me for asking, but... well, I've not too many I can reminisce with here. Just Vika, really," he mused, flapping up a bit to see her on the far side.
"... Actually, our enemies seem to be stacked with my former allies. One of whom I will take pleasure in sending to the bench," he admits.

"I can probably get used to this sort of battle a lot more readily than the usual stuff we get sent on." the cat replied, stretching his feline legs out. "Good idea. There's no rush. I'd feel much better if we had support when we go attack these guys. There's a limit to how much we can do with hit-and-run tactics. It feels nya-ce to team up with another Laguz. I was feeling left out since my usual allies were Beorcs or Aru-nya the snake lady."
The cat paw-sed, bringing a paw up to his cheek in thought. "Radiant wars? Never heard of them. Are they tasty?" He then waved his paw from side to side. "I'm kidding. I'm afraid I'm from a couple hundred years before that time."
Sunil then rested his front paws on the barrels between them and the enemy side to take a peek, his ears twitching to pick up the conversations Rhys, Shinon and Kira were having as his tail swished to and fro. "That dark mage is probably someone we should be careful with. Those hexes sound like they'd be trouble."

Now that his shoes are tied, Abel moves to space B55
Rhys nodded slighly at Kira's words. "I see, so it's an inheritance from your parents..." He was still kind of confused on how that worked but he figured it was best not to pry too much into it. All he needed to know is that she was a very powerful magic user.
Rhys noticed that Shinon stepped in between him and Kira, and saw he had a little scratch wound from the soldier that attacked him earlier. "Oh, err.. hey Shinon wait a moment!"
Rhys hurried over to space A33, the spot where Shinon went.
"Here, let me fix that for you!" Rhys said a bit awkwardly as he held out his healing staff. A glowing light emitted from it as Rhys closed his eyes as he silently chanted.
"Hm, as long as your dumb spells don't weaken us, then I suppose it's useful enough." Shinon mumbled after Kira explained her hexes.
"...Bah, it wasn't a big scratch." The archer replied to Rhys when the priest stepped near and healed him. "But thanks, I guess. For what it's worth, heh."
He glanced over to the barrels nearby that Kira had attacked. Deciding it that it was better than being bored and not doing anything, he drew his bow and took aim for them, using his Bowfaire skill.
