Kai looked at Alvin then to his father. "If you are alright with me doing so. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Vlad couldn't help but laugh at the two of them. "You might as well get comfortable, you know its a long trip back home. Now, get some sleep both of you."

Kai gave a final glance towards Alvin a light blush on his cheeks before he very carefully leaned on the other. As he breathed in, he couldn't help but get the smell of the other teen. His skin, his blood, the bodywash/soap he used and he couldn't help but smile liking this scent. It didn't take long for Kai to fall asleep and while sleeping, an arm went around Alvin's waist.

Vlad looked at his mate and the sleeping boys. This isn't easy for me you know. Today, I realized though that I cant hold onto him forever. At least his first crush isn't a dangerous vampire prince. Vlad laughed at his own joke. He was referring to himself of course and how it seemed Sal had fallen for him just as quickly as he had fallen for his merman lover.

I should have done something to that man when he attacked his own child, at least made him think about the mistake he had made. I know you and Kai wouldn't have approved of it, but if anything happens to that man now. I wont be sad to learn of it. He wasn't going to protect Derrick now that Alvin wasn't with him anymore. He would tell his vampire descendants that the male was off limits when it came to hunting, but that would be all he was willing to do.

Vlad loved how optimistic Sal was. It was one of the traits he cherished about his merman. The vampire looked at his lover for a moment before nodding. I know. Im sure that over time Derrick will come to understand his mistake and look for Alvin again. I will be sure to have a few of the vampires in the area of Arabor keep an eye out if that happens.

As Sal started to fall asleep, Vlad ran a gentle hand through his lover's hair to sooth him. "goodnight my sea gem."

Kai continued to sleep long past the sunrise, nestling more into Alvin's side and letting out a sigh. He kept his arm wrapped around the other clearly happy with the current position, well, until he felt Alvin start to move. He mumbled slightly before he opened his eyes and saw the position he was in with Alvin. Blushing the hybrid sat up before he noticed that Alvin seemed to be having issues with his neck. "Turn your back to me." He said even as he reached out to rub the other's neck and back hoping that it would help the other. It was the least he could do since Alvin let him sleep against him.

Kai shook his head and blushed. "No, your the first person ive given a massage to. I hope that I don't do too badly." He said after a moment even as his fingers kneaded the knots out of the other's neck and shoulders. As Alvin spoke of the armlet Kai paused for a moment. "Im not upset, I get to see you still, I just wish it was under different circumstances. I slept really well, I hope you did as well. Im sorry you weren't comfortable."

As the two spoke, Vlad watched the interaction between his son and the teen they were bringing home. It was cute to watch the pair and it made him think back on when he and Sal had gotten past the initial fear. Vlad kissed the top of Sal's head and smiled.

That was true, things might have ended completely differently and they might not be talking now. As he saw Alvin look down, he glanced towards his parents and blushed. Why was his father watching them? He blushed and removed his hands from Alvin's neck putting them in his lap. "You could be part vampire. We don't wake up unless there is danger usually. Well, he doesn't, I can wake up a bit faster. At least you wont need to sleep in the car again. We are home." The hybrid said with a smile as he looked up at the castle.

Kai looked at Alvin for a moment before he looked away. He didn't mean to bring up the memory of something painful for the other. "Yea, being part vampire isn't always a good thing. I don't have to yet, but most vampires need to worry about hunters. Since I don't take blood from anyone but my family, the people that go after my kind don't seem to care."

Kai nodded. "He could show you around, or I could. I mean I don't know as much about the castle as he does. He has lived in it all his life which is much much longer then mine."
