Areya waited till most of the guests had arrived in the foyer to sign their contracts and start to get things settled before she left them to go to the kitchen. Arriving at the kitchen door she stopped to talk with the chef, "It's time to start feeding the guests. I'm sure some of them are ravished and the new guests must be hungry as well even if they ate before arriving here." Areya walked into the kitchen to see that all the breakfasts foods possible were ready and fresh. Satisfied everything looked good she grabbed a banana muffin for herself and looking over at Deet and Flint gave them a wink before exiting the kitchen.
She went back to the Foyer and into the dining room with the chef and her assistants following her with the food. As they began setting everything up on the long table by the wall Areya announced it was time to eat. "I'm sure many of you are ready to eat and here is the promised brunch." Areya swept her arm out over all the food that was being placed. "One of the benefits to the Estate is we have food that caters to every beings diet. So, I'm sure you will find delicacies here you won't find anywhere else. And after you have your plates, you may start asking any question you may have while we eat." Areya then walked over to her usual seat at the head of the table and stood next to her chair.
She looked next to her at Xavier. "It seems to be a very interesting group of guests this time don't you agree? Oh, and if you haven't noticed yet, our three unexpected guests from last night are now in the employee of the estate." Areya shifted feet while waiting for her guests to get their food and sit back down continuing to speak to Xavier. "Although they signed one of the estates blood contracts, I also had to sign a contract with them." She looked up and over all of the guests. "And later if we may speak in private, I have been having a few issues I would like to discuss with you." Areya then started picking at her muffin eating a small bit here and there.

Yes, everything is going perfectly...I wonder when the chaos will begin? Ah, my son. This will be very interesting, with the amount of people here.
(((OOC: This was pre-planned by myself and Areya Stormbringer, I'm not just randomly dropping things here. To Areya: If I didn't understand what you wanted, please correct me, this is a little new to me, as I've said before.)))
Loranna gave a dismissive wave of her hand, a suddenly bored look written over her features, as well as a roll of her eyes as the boy, "Earl," rambled on about their current location - and somewhat predicament. She, too, did not quite understand how she had gotten here. Lor was not even quite sure where 'here' was. But it was better than being out there, at least in her opinion.
Upon hearing his words regarding the upcoming meal, Loranna did laugh softly. She was starving as well - it had been a good three days since she'd eaten anything other than plants and mushrooms along the way. With a soft sigh, she replied to Alois.
"Yes, and then we'll all be doomed won't we? You ooze with danger."She had decidedly chosen to ignore the way he had said 'lady' in such an insolent tone. Truth was, though a princess, she was no lady. The fae tore her gaze from the small one to turn her attention to Lady Areya, only glancing at the food that was brought out. It all smelled delicious. She had so many questions... But she decided to be a gracious guest and started to grab random foods from the serving platters. Bits of chicken (she was fond of this meat that was not found back home in Yavieth), a strange soup that smelled of odd spices, buttered rolls, and an odd assortment of other delicious smelling items. And then, to her left, she saw something she thought she'd never see again. Turften - one of the rarer flowers that grew deep within her homeland. It tasted of earthly flavors such as honey, dark chocolate, and vanilla, but in nectar form and far richer. Her greedy fingers plucked four, then five, of the exotic plants from the dish and tipped her head back while pulling open the flower petals.

Locationbiggrinining Hall Company: Loranna, Earl Trance, Lady Stormbringer, Estate Guests Mood: Annoyed
Gen nodded her head hearing the other’s name and title. She was surprised to be sitting next to a princess but in an odd setting there was bound to be odd people. It was just apart of the world . “Are you really? You must have an very interesting tale of how you came here then,” Gen replied with a happy tone. She truly loved stories and those who told them. If anyone had a story to tell she would listen without question.
Although, when the young boy spoke up Gen found herself interested. What made him so spoiled and fowl? Better yet, what gave him such a demonic presence? It was very interesting indeed. “I do agree that this amusing Earl Trancy, but don’t you think- perhaps that is the wrong wording.” The young girl paused a moment to better her wording and thought. “Is there truly any amusement in being so, as you called it, ‘good tempered’? Wouldn’t it be better suited if you enjoyed your time instead of acting so high and mighty? I know it would make it much more pleasurable for me, and a few others.”
Seeing Lady Stormbringer, Gen became quiet wanting to allow her to speak with ease. As the food appeared the girl couldn’t help but make a slight sigh of enjoyment. It had been a long time since she had eaten a proper meal. Although, the young brunette was never a fan of eating in front of others.
Looking down at her own meal, Gen’s stomach growled with delight. A bowl filled with a soft brown substance with a chunky topping. Yellow shavings nearing covered the top of the brown with a lemon wedge on top of everything. Steam rose from the bowl of oatmeal causing the young girl to let out happy sigh. A simple meal and yet it was exactly what she wanted.
Picking up a spoon Gen looked over to Loranna noticing how happy the other appeared. The plants were strange. The messenger couldn’t recall ever seeing them before. Although from the other’s appearance they must have been good. “I’m guessing they’re a nice treat,” Gen spoke motioning towards the leaves.
Reaching behind her head Gen felt the string that kept up her false face. Loosening it just slightly the youth re-tied a loose bow to allow herself to slip the spoon between her face and the porcelain smile. Taking a small amount of the oatmeal onto her spoon with one hand and with the other pulled the bottom of the mask slightly forward revealing the ghostly white skin of her chin but nothing else. Taking a quick bite, Gen lowered the face back down as she chewed. She truly hated eating with others. It made everything so much more complicated.

Hoheo Taralna, Rondero Tarel... Alois rolled his eyes a bit at both of them, as if he cared for the other's enjoyment of her or his.. though the voice said " girl" time here. He only cared about his own. He was about to respond when the "Ringmaster" Of this circus of Demons arrived and spoke. The smell of food made his stomach growl. He looked as it was brought in and spoke to them.
Blah blah blah.. she was delaying them. Finally she was done with her blather and he stood. Seemed the other two had beaten him to the line of food. He didn't mind much. They were grabbing things that seemed... weird.. Plants that the Princess knocked back like an old man and a shot of whiskey in the depths of winter? Blobby goo stuff and the girl in the mask didn't seem to want to take it off. He wondered if she had a scarred face or something like that, he was rather curious as to what was under that fake smile.
Alois himself found, much to his surprise, his favored fried fish and chips. He got a few and looked at the other items. Some he recognized as food others looked like they belonged in the trash and some... eaaahhh.. he didn't know what those were. He did pick up a couple of the flowers, purely out of curiosity, wondering what this flower would taste like. The smell was something like one of Claudes nicer deserts.
He returned to his seat and took a bite of his fish then sighed. Perfect, the seasoning the crispy fried outside and the wonderfully soft fish inside. He looked back at Princess and Maskie... then he smirked as he finished his first bite.
"As for me being dangerous... Yes.. yes I am. In more ways then one.Though I suppose I could be considered slightly less dangerous at this moment. " he said after a second of thought. He just shruged slightly at her
"But.. You'd be amazed what I can do all on my own. " he chuckled slightly. Alois's eyes went to the one in the mask and he smirked.
"And for you Masked one, why should I care if you enjoy your time here or not? I'm going to enjoy myself, however I can... and well for whatever reason I ended up here. Of course.. my enjoyment usually comes at the expense of others. " he said with a smirk, Hannah and her eye came to mind. His cold blue eyes sparkling a bit as he took another bite of the food that was a comfort to him. He licked his lips and then he would pick up one of the flowers and peer at it curiously. The flower smelled like a desert, one that Claude might serve at one of the parties Alois would throw.
"Hmm.. Princess.. Is this thing safe to eat? Obviously it is for you, but what about for people not of the.. whatever you said you were.. fae or something like that.. right?" he asked her as he titled his head peeling a bit of the flower petal back to look inside it curiously.
"At least now I can pair names with faces, save for that man I saw in the hallway earlier. Oh well." She noted the names just as the food was being brought in; old habits die hard. Dødette quickly came back to the present moment as the various dishes were placed upon the table. She was surprised to spot a similar dish to one she made a point to enjoy every time she visited the planet of New Eden, a delicacy known as ch'apa. But then again, it was only similar, as with every other time she'd looked for it outside of New Eden. The real thing was always hard to come by anywhere else, as the real recipe was only known by one tribe of the native people there. This was no discredit, however. She helped herself to some of it, as well as some of the dishes that were more native to Earth.
As she began to eat, she nonchalantly listened to everyone else talk amongst themselves. Quite frankly she wasn't too eager to speak, partly due to the fact she hadn't had her morning coffee yet. Forgetting was something she didn't often do, but this time, it had slipped her mind to ask if she could bring a supply of it. She'd acquired a taste for the blend that was popular back on Brugham. It was not so well-received on other planets because of the unconventional preparation of it; one major thing that stood out about it was the fact a pinch of the planet's red sand was added to every cup. Anyone who's never had it before promptly spits it back out. This prompted what became known as the 'spit test'; If the coffee is brewed correctly, one spits out the first sip of it. If not brewed correctly, then the person who prepared it will usually get berated for it and more often than not, that gets followed by refusal to continue drinking it. It was an odd and seemingly harsh tradition, but it was one more thing that made living there interesting. You weren't trusted easily if you couldn't make good coffee. Dødette could, hence another reason to bring her own supply, as she was unsure if anyone else would know what to do. Earth coffee would suffice, though.
It seemed that the boy Alois was intent on being repulsive. As long as he left her alone, she didn't really care. She didn't want any beef with him or anyone else. The girl with the mask also seemed fixed in her own ways, it was like her true face was Pandora's box and the mask was the lid or something. Dødette wasn't quite sure what exactly a 'fae' was in Ms. Loranna's case, but nonetheless, Dødette felt she was very reactionary, giving back annoyed responses to the snobbish Alois, yet keeping civil with the masked Gen. The two men had gone quiet, though. Either way, Dødette herself was content on ignoring everyone else if it came to that, all she cared about was getting her R&R.

[OOC] I'm kind of laughing at myself for making a whole paragraph about coffee. lmao But hey, I had the idea and just ran with it. mrgreen [/OOC]
Nick waited for most of the other guests to grab their food from the long table before he got up and walked over to it. Looking over the wide selection of foods he found a simple fruit salad to eat. As he was getting his food he asked to the lady Loranna behind him already eating her meal, "Lady Lorrana, do you truly not know how you came to be here? As much as I've been able to learn of this place, it has been around for a few hundred thousand years or more and all beings with magic or powers, are drawn to here. It's believed this place is the center of magic and power for all universes. Where true life stemmed from. Have you not felt a sense of tranquility and a powering up of your own abilities since entering the estate?"
After getting everything he wanted Nick returned to his seat, but before sitting down looked over to the boy. "As for you boy, you can not call yourself an Earl of anything or be treated like one if you treat women the way you do." With that Nick whispered a few words and the flowery dessert in Alois's hands turned into a garden snake. "You really don't know what kind of people you are dealing with here and I don't think you want to find out the hard way." Nick then winked at the woman and girl next to her, "If it pleases the ladies I'll sit and take my meal now." Sitting down Nick smiled to himself. He was always so uptight running his lands and he hadn't pulled a prank on anyone in more years than he could remember. Yes, he thought to himself, a vacation is just what I needed.
As he waited for Loranna's reply Nick began eating his food and inspecting the other people at the table wondering when the rest of the guests and staff would arrive. He shivered a bit as if a draft had come into the room. Strange he thought, it seems to always be the right temperature here and yet he felt a cold chill.

Hoheo Taralna, Rondero Tarel... Alois had been peering at the wonderful smelling nectar and about to take a taste when the one calling himself Nick spoke to him. Alois let out a curse as the flower became the garden snake. He tossed the thing away from himself, not caring if it landed on someone else or in someone's food. He glowered in Nick's direction, ugh. Well it would be rather frustrating being surrounded by those that could do things like this. He needed to get Claude in here. Lazy spider what was taking him so long to get though the barrier anyway? He let out a breath and then smirked lightly, well he might not have magic or be a demon, but he wasn't helpless.
"I'll treat others how I feel like. I have earned my title, and will use it as I see fit." he said to him in a smug tone as he shifted looking at him.
"So..I'd say I'm not the only one who should be wary of who they are dealing with. " He said to him. He might just be a human, but it wasn't as if his hands didn't have blood on them. An entire village, his brother.. his so called father. Death and destruction wasn't unknown to him. He picked up another of the flowers and opened it, before dipping his finger in and taking a lick of the nectar inside. He found it surprisingly tasty. He'd have to make Claude figure out how to make a desert like this, it was quite tasty.
Dødette raised an eyebrow at the peculiar manner of this man Nicholas as he spoke as if he needed the permission of the females present just to go about having his meal. But maybe it had been merely rhetorical, as he promptly sat down to begin eating anyway. His mannerisms were vintage, ancient even. She knew that some of Earth's inhabitants still kept to old ways, but this was on a whole other level to her. "I'm not even going to ask." She would have put a hand to her face in disbelief as Nick turned the flower Alois had been holding into a snake, but she was busy eating. She then piped up to ask about the coffee she was hoping for, Earth-style or otherwise. "So, uh, Lady Stormbringer, would there happen to be some coffee anywhere?" She idly twisted some of the small noodle-like green vines in the helping of mimic-ch'apa she'd been enjoying.
She knew that those who usually came here had some sort of strange magical type of gift or property to them yet felt that she and Alois were the only two non-magical beings present; Lorrana as well seemed to have nothing magical about her, but Dødette knew this would not be the case. Hell, everyone but Nick and Areya had not shown anything outwardly magical about themselves. Well, Areya hadn't, but she already had a general idea of what the Lady of the estate was capable of, so proving it would be unnecessary. While she assured herself she had not been misled, and that this was indeed a place for vacationing, it was apparent to her that someone had taken the route of 'not lying but leaving details out'. It didn't bother her to any large extent, but this would be dealt with later when the need arose. This definitely made her feel a bit out of place though, but she was used to that. No one seemed to be bothered by her un-magical self. Or maybe they thought she just hadn't shown anything off yet. Dødette's 'magic' was in her skills and her tech. She then wondered if these people here thought vampirism was magic. "That'd be ridiculous, everyone knows it's a disease." A disease she'd grown comfortable with, but a disease nonetheless. As long as no one was trying to 'cure' her. Those run-ins happened sometimes, but not very often either. She noted to herself to stay wary of it here, just in case. Hopefully Xavier, the doctor, wouldn't be foisting that upon her.
Areya had just finished speaking with Xavier and was picking at her muffin when Ann the Mistress of Keys came up to her and whispered into her ear. "Another guest appeared in the log books you say?" she asked. Another unusual thing to happen. Areya looked out to her current guests and spoke, "If you all will excuse me for a few minutes I have some business to attend to and will answer any questions you have later." With that Areya headed to her office.
After arriving she looked in the log books and indeed another name had appeared in them. His information was very intriguing as well. Areya would anticipate this new guest just to see what he was like. Reaching over she rang the bell for the Master of Horses. "Yes, Lady Areya." he said as he knocked and entered. "It seems as if you will need to send the coachman back out, we have a late arrival to the estate today." He nodded to her, "It will be done promptly, my Lady." He headed out the door of the office and Areya sat back in her chair still holding her muffin. Yep, she thought, a very interesting group of people.

+ Location: Dining Room + Company: Whomsoever is attending the gathering.
The chill Nick felt was caused not by a draft; but by Samarah, who had almost carelessly walked into him on her way through the room. Instead she froze upon seeing this man, realizing that there was a certain presence with him...though, it was hard to place a finger on why that is. There were traces of familiarity in his face; though that too was strange to her. Twas' difficult to figure out why she believed they've met before, though surely she'd figure it out eventually.
Moving right along, the kitsune didn't linger on such thoughts for long, and instead began weaving through guests and meeting them in her own way. Though she didn't feel the need to approach every single one of them, as they were seen earlier upon their arrivals. Sammy merely had to know who was under this roof in order to do her job correctly. Should anything go awry, she could proceed towards the logical suspects if there were any to be had.
Samarah had been absent from the gathering all this time (not that anyone would take active notice, really) and during her absence, had been rather busy. Primarily she was happily taking advantage of the worrisome fact that she was beginning to solidify. Though still invisible, this allowed her to get away with certain things. While this does mean something is happening in the Estate, it also meant to her that she could have a bit of fun.
Suffice it to say, the Keymistress was going to have a surprise awaiting her discovery somewhere within the building. Though she was not the only one. Another favored target was the good doctor, whom Samarah had taken a liking to pranking throughout the years for several simple reasons. Knowing an opportunity for one of these practical jokes was missed when he played his favorite hat trick to intrigue the guests; Sammy would've pouted if she could do so in kitsune form. She thought to change into the shape of a Victorian gentlewoman (if nothing else, for the glory of possessing opposable thumbs--most invaluable when setting up traps); but did no such thing.
Upon hearing a familiar voice the spirit hadn't heard in so very long, Samarah darted through the room and came to a rest when she realized it was exactly whom she thought it'd be. She dashed under the table and around Loranna's chair, intentionally brushing against her side in the process. Though knowing she couldn't be seen directly yet, she had still become solid enough to mess with people...a fact she was about to milk for all its worth whenever there were opportunities.
Xavier acquired his food along with the others, waiting in line patiently for his turn. When he gathered his plate and sustenance, he returned to his spot at the large table across from Dødette who seemed to already be eating. The male set his plate down and slid into his seat. It was then that something caught Xavier's eye, something about the female parallel to him. He couldn't directly tell what it was when he glanced at her, so put his full attention on her and stared at her for a moment. Xavier wasn't secretive about it either. When he took interest in something, it was very obvious he did so. "Hmmm...." Xavier mumbled, scratching his chin. It would bother him until he figured out what it was.
"Ahah!" Xavier suddenly exclaimed, blinking a few times to wet his now very dry eyes. He figured it out what he had noticed about her. "Miss, when I first saw you I deduced that you were Elvish in origin.." He started, relaxing back into his seat. Xavier kept eye contact with her, but his voice remained low enough that no one else could hear. He didn't want to reveal his findings to anyone else, that'd break medical confidentiality. "...but just now, I noticed there was something else unique about you. You are...infected with Vampirism, correct?" Xavier chuckled and rested against his chair. "I haven't seen one of your kind for quite some time. Over 100 years, in fact. I have a question, if you don't mind answering. Were you born that way, or were you infected? Out of curiosity."
Dødette immediately noticed Xavier staring in what appeared to be a vegetative state, although short. She glared back in a way that could also be taken as asking why he was acting this way. It was enough that she'd be snubbed from her answer about the coffee due to whatever issues were going on. and now this was happening. As he finished his line of questioning, she gave him a catty once-over, then leaned forward slightly and scoffed quietly, "Yeah I'm sure the ears weren't a dead giveaway. What's my vampirisim to you, anyway? I do not wish to be 'cured', if that's what you want."

Areya got up from her chair still carrying her neglected muffin and headed for the kitchens once more. Stopping in she checked to make sure they were bringing out all the drinks, so the guests had something to wash their food down with. And then she was back on her way to the Dining Room. Upon entering she saw for a moment she could have sworn to see a brief image of something but then it wasn't there. Areya chalked this up to how tired she already was and the after effects of the horrible headache from the night before.
Really all the extra excitement was a bit stressing and yet at the same time invigorating to her. The last few years the guests have been rather dull and not very lively groups of people. The more strange occurrences in the books and unexpected guests the more this particular group was at the least becoming exotic to Areya. It gave her a fresh glow and look on life here in the Estate.
"Sorry for any inconvienence everyone, the matter is dealt with now and we will be having another guest join us shortly." Turning to look over at Dodette she also said, "The drinks will be here momentarily, I didn't forget but was a bit distracted, please excuse me for not having it out here earlier." Areya shuffled the cook's helpers in to set up the drinks for everyone and walked back over to her seat. Before sitting down though she addressed Nick, "Don't forget dear sir, that this place also exists for beings that are not human as well. So that they may come and be themselves without worrying that someone is going to try and kill them for their differences." Finally able to sit down Areya also said to the main group of people, "At this time if anyone has questions I would be more than happy to answer them."

Flint, Steele, and Dietrich Stasis
Flint had grown tired of sitting in the kitchen and figured that Dietrich would eventually migrate towards other people. It would only be a matter of time before he eventually decided to talk to someone for more than two minutes and then at some point pick a fight. Oddly enough, this had been the longest he had seen Steele sober. Let's face it, Steele was their dad with black hair and gold eyes, minus the voice, well, as far as they knew. No one had ever heard Steele so much as sneeze, let alone make any sort of noise outside of popping open a bottle or lighting a cigarette.
As Flint entered the dining room, he took note of his keeper's presence, as well as the presence of a handful of others. This made him wonder if they were all confined by the same ward that kept him and his younger brothers inside the property lines. He wouldn't ask about it, but he had to know how the ward would affect the frequencies in which his kind channeled their gifts through, especially with Dietrich and himself, only able to utilize a single frequency, whereas Steele had access to both frequencies their bodies emitted. Steele was the Child of Omens feared by his kind, much like their older brothers that their father hinted about, yet never spoken of. Like their father, Flint prayed those two were simply a rumor spread by his father's former lovers.
Steele stepped out from behind Flint and tapped him on the shoulder, flipping a penny around between his fingers. The eldest of the three had understood where he was going at and shook his head. "Same old things, those stories of the other two like you." Steele shrugged and lit a cigarette before peering at everyone in the dining room, then motioned for Flint to fetch Dietrich.
Dietrich had already caught on and moved to the dining room, peeling a mango and looking back at his older brothers. "So, have either of you called pop?" The other two shook their head. "What about Uncle Mic?" Flint and Steele shook their heads even harder. "Ok, cause they both called. Our middle man ratted us out." Steele hung his head and shook it a bit. As much as he loved their fence, he knew this would happen eventually. "Yeah, pop and uncle Mic didn't say if they were showing up or not. Knowing Pop, he's not gonna show up till we call for help." Flint nodded. "So we're not going to see him till God decides to smite you for your glutenous ways?" Dietrich furrowed his brow. "Up yours."
