Arriving, Zak stepped out of the train, Daeva still curled around his neck, clinging to his shoulders, her mouth slightly open as she took in the surroundings. His attention diverted down to his watch, Zak maneuvered away from the crowds, lifting one hand occasionally to make sure Daeva didn't fall, or jump, off. She seemed enthralled-- in a good way, or malicious way, he couldn't quite tell-- with the new scenery, but he couldn't have her running off. The pokemon he'd sent a request for at the beginning of his (lengthy) train ride had been sent to his PC, so he would have to go and get it. Once he'd done that, well... he supposed he could probably release Lillipup. The little guy would probably trounce all the pokemon in this area, now.

The trip into the lab didn't take long. He was able to politely ask to use the computer, trying not to drawl or let his accent bleed through to much. She recognized him.... which was annoying... but he absently updated her that the snivy she had given him was now fully evolved as he typed away at the computer to access his PC. She grew rather animated at this-- asked to see. He released Sotnik, who blinked, and actually seemed to perk up, recognizing the Professor. While she curiously examined him, Zak was able to get his pokemon, logging out. He quietly intervened, explaining that he had to go, and returned Sotnik, slipping back out and rolling his eyes. Luckily that didn't take too long....
He lifted the acquired pokebally up, Daeva phasing back into sight (she'd slipped off to sneak around the lab while he was busy) and resuming her perch on his shoulder. As he opened the ball, the rotund pokemon appeared, floating in front of him. "Hallo, Boo," he greeted with a bit of a smirk. "Boo!" the pokemon churred back. It seemed to completely ignore Daeva, and in fact, swept over, knocking her from Zak's shoulder, and taking her place. Daeva squawked in surprise, flailing and tumbling to the ground. She got to her feet, glowering up at the new pokemon, practically growling. Zak was smirking at the Pumpkaboo, but shifted his gaze down to Daeva.
"Eef you don't lyk et, Daeva, zen feex et," he advised simply. She growled, her legs coiled, ready to pounce, then leaped up, tackling down the pokemon and biting it, hard. She kept it under her as they landed, then jumped off, immediately turning to face it, churring aggressively. But there was no need-- the single attack had wiped it out. "B-boooo....~" it dizzily murmured, and Zakhav scoffed humorously, returning it. "See? Zere you have et. Your perch regained," he praised. Daeva straightened up, bent her legs again, then leaped up, clawing her way back up to his shoulders, and resuming her position. She grinned, chirping victoriously. That hadn't been so hard, after all.

Releasing Lillipup immediately after, Zak discarded the now useless pokeball, and knelt down. "Cohnsidering how veak you vere vhen I found you," he started, the pup tipping his head questioningly to the side, "you deed a very gud job finding sings." Ah! So this was a compliment! Lillipup perked up a bit, but then seemed to look around, finally recognizing his surroundings. "You've kept your end of ze bargain-- so have I. You are now free to go." The pokemon looked back at Zak, its eyes wide, but carrying something heavier than its usual questioning innocence. Finally, it nodded, turned, and looked back at him. The pokemon gave a bark, then bounded off, glancing back once more, before finally disappearing into the grass.
Zak straightened up, watching him leave, then glanced towards Daeva, who's mouth was closed, frowning slightly. He couldn't tell whether she even had any particular feelings or reactions on the departure of her teammate.
Turning, he began heading towards the next town. He needed to find a place with some concrete... and a basketball hoop.

Once in Nuvema, Cheria and Sheena went to the train station. Cheria purchased a ticket for herself. Now, it was a waiting game. Taking a seat to wait for the train, Cheria grew curious and poked at Sheena's fluff. It really was sticky! Wow! How did that work?

Sheena decided to latch onto her back again, and Cheria let Lupup out of his ball. He was happy with that. Lupup must not like to be in his ball then. Was it uncomfortable? She hoped not too much.

After some time, the train arrived and Cheria stood. Boarding the train with her two Pokémon. Taking a seat away from the crowd and twirling her hair nervously, Cheria focused on the window instead of the people. It helped her not freak out. At least they were all content with leaving her be.

Hanging out by the door of the Lab, Ace found himself reluctant to continue moving. The rain had long stopped, and while the sun show brightly in the sky with little clouds to shield it's heat, the ground was still muddy. Glancing to his shoulder he met Derosa's gaze. The Roselia tilted her head upward with a grin. She was making fun of him, he could tell. "I'm already regretting this." He sighed. "Might as well check out this Oshawott while we're here." Less he changes his mind. Water-types were one of his favorite types, but he wasn't against a Serperior or Emboar either. Grabbing the ball he'd obtained from Juniper Ace clicked the button on the ball, releasing it's quarry.
With a flash of white a form appeared. As if seeing the sun for the first time, the Oshawott looked around in a daze, he's eyes squinted tightly. Ace, already judging the small creature folded his arms as he watched the Oshawott move around. The Oshawott finally looked up, finding Ace's cold gaze looking down upon him. Surprisingly the Oshawott matched Ace's glare with it's own. "You have guts?" He asked. The Oshawott stood silently. "Derosa, test him." The rose-handed Pokemon, like a ballerina, bounded from Ace's shoulder and landed on the stone slab at their feet. She held up a black rose to her mouth as she extended the other, sending a flurry of Poisonous needles for the Oshawott. The speed it showed was impressive, dodging and weaving, he managed to dodge nearly all of Derosa's needles. At such a close range at that. "You've been raised well at least." Leaning forward at his waist, the male extended his hand down for Derosa to step upon. Bringing the little rose back to his shoulder, the male then stepped forward, approaching the Oshawott. "Aiolos." ace stated. "That is what I'll call you from now on." With that, Ace continued past the Oshawott, leading them toward the exit of Nuvema Town.

As the distance between Ace and Route one closed in, the male quickly pulled free a thin object from a pocket hidden inside the breast of his suit. Flipping it open, a blank screen lit up, casting a projection of a blank screen. This was Ace's Holocaster, picked up from Amarantha before leaving the country. For a moment the device did nothing, but after a few moments the image of a woman appeared on the screen. She quickly bowed in the image, saluting Ace. "Sir!" She greeted him. "I've arrived in Unova and obtained my starter. I'm making way towards Accumula Town." The woman nodded, looking down as if jotting something down. "Everything has been prepared as you asked." She replied. "I've been approved?" He inquired. The woman nodded once more. "You should be expecting your new addition in a week."
Getting what he'd wanted from the woman, Ace simply closed up the holocaster, and pocketed it once more. Glancing down towards his feet, he noticed the small water-type keeping stride at Ace's side. His short legs likely made it difficult, so he doubted the little one could keep up with his long strides. The Oshawott looked so determined to keep up, though it was showing signs of tiring out. Returning his gaze to the path ahead, he found they'd entered route one.. It wasn't long now before reaching Accumula Town, then it was further north to Striaton.

The path to Accumula was abruptly blocked by the appearance of a Pokemon, wild by the looks of it. Ace narrowed his eyes. This was something he'd have to get used to. The birds that landed on the castle were a nuisance enough, but now he had to deal with land dwelling Pokemon... filthy creatures. Looking away, Ace motioned forward. "Deal with it, Aiolos." He stated. The Oshawott at his feet, taking gasping breaths continued forward despite his weakened body. Glancing back towards Ace, Aiolos found only the cold stare from Derosa on him. Ace wasn't even paying attention to the battle... narrowing his gaze, the Oshawott returned his gaze to the on guard Lillipup.
With a roar into the air, Aiolos ran forward full force, tackling the Lillipup before it could do much of anything to defend itself. Huffing heavily, Aiolos found he'd knocked the pup out completely. Derosa muttered something, getting Ace's attention. "Filthy flea bag..." He grumbled, stepping forward, quickly crossing past Aiolos. Watching Ace continue into Accumula, without leaving a word of congratulations made Aiolos feel a bit on edge... Who was this man that was to be his trainer?

There was no specific direction the boy's feet were headed, he was mainly concerned with staying out of anyone's way. As he made his way out of town, he was invariably skittish of his surroundings. He was used to a big city, but he was also used to hiding behind his older sisters when out in the open. Such events took place some years ago and it was a phase he knew he had to grow out of. During his journey he would need to duck in and out of towns for supplies on multiple occasions, so it was best if he walked the streets and got to know the area... maybe next time.
Comfort washing over his skin as he lost sight of any living person, Kyo welcomed the tall trees of the forest. His pokemon still supported in his embrace, he settled on a clearing and set the snivy down.
"Thank you for coming with me!" Kyo chuckled as he sat across from the snivy, reaching out his hand to pet his new partner. "Ah, should I give you a name? There was an author of a story that I liked. What do you think of 'Seri'?" The snivy looked up at Kyo with curious eyes, then let out a cheer with a big smile.
"The story goes that even a tiny sapling can grow into a massive forest. I'll read it to you one day." Kyo started to look through his bag, rearranging a few things before retrieving his pokedex. He examined the casing thoroughly, pressing all the button not to figure out there function, but just to feel what it was like to press them. He cared more about the condition and quality of the device than what it actually did, but he eventually turned it on to continue reading the information on his pokemon.
"There are probably more pokemon in this place, but they're wild so be on the lookout." Kyo playful gave the order as if he were a general, saluting Seri before standing up. "You can run around if you want, but don't wander off." The warning trailed off as his focus centered on the pokedex entry.
Noel stopped at a bench once he’d left Professor Juniper’s lab, plopping down and once more scooping the Tepig up again onto his lap. Algernon followed suit, climbing up on his own and taking a seat right next to the pair to keep watch.
"Hey there little guy. So you need a name! What would be a good one..," Noel mused with a thoughtful expression. It wasn’t long though before a smile blossomed across his face as a name seemed to come to mind.
"How about… Wilbur?" The Tepig perked up as he was spoken to once more, nose twitching in interest. Noel watched and then grinned, giving a curt nod as the pokemon seemed to take to the idea. "Wilbur it is then! This here is Algernon, though I bet he already told you that already." He tilted his head and raised a hand to point to himself. "And of course, I’m Noel!" Wilbur’s nose twitched again as he looked between trainer and fellow pokemon companion. Well, it seemed like he was accepting them! That was good.

- With introductions out of the way (he could chat more with his pokemon later once they found a place more secluded), Noel moved on to his next course of action; contacting his parents so that they knew he was okay.
The call was, of course, anything but brief, with a bombardment of questions and requests of confirmation such as whether his headset was still functioning, that Algernon’s was functioning, that he wasn’t suffering any headaches or any other nonsense and reassurance that if anything happened he would contact them immediately. It was good twenty-five minutes before he finally managed to say good-bye and hang up.
Noel huffed a sigh, ruffling his bangs. He appreciated their concern, truly. After what, a decade of suffering with psychic powers, he couldn’t blame them for worrying. He just didn’t want it to be… persistent. Still, he made a mental note to make it a habit to contact them often so they wouldn’t have to worry. The more proactive he was, the less worried they be. It was a win-win, right? Right! Grin returning he set Wilbur down on the ground and got to his feet. It was time to start this adventure! -

- … But where to start? That was the question that Noel now found himself asking. There were so many ways to begin; he could start training, which of course was priority number one. His team would need to be extra strong to take on the gym leaders in Unova! But man… there was also sightseeing to be done. And he’d heard about contests! He wanted to go see a few of those in person and the rangers! He’d heard about rangers! Helping pokemon and what not, how cool would that be? And all the pokemon he wanted to meet and catch! Maybe that was the place to start. Building his team. He had a few ideas of what he wanted to add to hallmark his ‘ultimate dream’ team. With a curious expression he pulled out his C-Gear, beginning to browse his way through it. Maybe there was a way for him to look up the locations of some of the pokemon he wanted? That’d be really useful, especially since they were already next to the train station. If they had to move to another region then well, so be it!
As he maneuvered his way through the device, Noel managed to stumble his way across some sort of trader board. An eyebrow arched as he browsed through it; it looked sort of like a platform for people trade pokemon or find homes for them? Something of the sort. He continued to browse through it and his eyes went wide at the sight of a Pikachu being offered up. Oh! He really wanted a Pikachu and he’d be happy to give one a home… hm…
It was worth a shot. After thinking about the message long and hard, Noel typed an inquiry concerning the offered up Pikachu. He didn’t have any money or anything of value to be honest, but it was apparently negotiable? Maybe he could strike up some kind of a deal? Maybe. It’d be a lot easier than just hunting one down; not that he minded the challenge but well… all things considered.
Message: Hi! I saw you had a Pikachu up for trade and wanted to know about it! I don't have a lot to trade but well.. I thought I'd ask.
With the message sent, Noel tucked his C-Gear away, fishing out his pokedex next to do some checking. Maybe he’d give a battle in this area a try before deciding the next course of action. Just to see how strong his team was now.

- Right! That’s what he was going to do! Noel tucked his communicator away once the message had successfully sent, head tilting to observe their surroundings. There weren’t a lot of grass patches in this particular part of the region, probably for good measure. Wild pokemon assailing new trainers without pokemon of their own was hardly something anyone wanted to deal with. Still though, a little bit of movement and they would quickly be in a patch of the tall grass that wild types usually resided.
"Come on you two! Let’s see if we can find any wild pokemon to battle!" He commented, directing a grin at the Tepig and Espurr. Algernon gave his standard stare, adjusting his headset a bit before giving a little nod and hopping down from the bench. Wilbur’s snout continued to twitch as he seemed to consider this course of action for himself, a sort of analytical look crossing his face. He really was the thinking type wasn’t he? Or he seemed that way.
"It’ll be fine Wilbur! I bet you’re really strong, aren’t you? I can tell!" The compliment on strength seemed to catch the pig’s attention, which just made his new trainer grin more. "If the pokemon around here are too weak we’ll move on to some other place, I promise!" He raised a finger up. "But you’ve got to fight first so we can find out! Okay?" That seemed like reasoning enough and with a little ‘oink’ –the first of any noise he’d heard out of the Tepig since receiving him- the pokemon hoped down from the bench as well to follow. Great! -

- With his team now behind him, Noel led the way towards one of the grassy patches that outlined the outer regions of the town. It was kind of funny to think about really, that pokemon of any type could be lurking in something as simple of grass. Of course, this grass was pretty tall. The grass at home –for the few short times he’d seen it- was either really short or nearly non-existent. Black City wasn’t really known for greenery though… so maybe that made sense?
Noel shook his head. He really needed to be focusing on the situation at hand and not the question of where all the grass in his home city had gone too. With careful, steady steps he maneuvered his way though, pushing aside grass here and there. He had to focus hard to listen –the headphones where specially designed not to cut off his hearing but still, at times it was hard to listen for faint sounds- but soon he caught the faintest of scuffling nearby. On instinct he ducked down and slowed his steps even further, glancing back at Algernon and Wilbur before giving a slight jerk of his head in the direction of the noise. Algernon stared a moment before moving to hover behind the white-haired lad’s leg leaving Wilbur to take the lead. With a nose twitch and some snuffling though, he came upon a Lillipup sniffing about.
Wilbur watched the pup a moment before giving a squeak at it to catch its attention. Immediately he Lillipup perked up and with ears flickering turned to look at the trio as they all came into sight. -
