Sebastian stepped into Ilex Forest, glancing around curiously as he did. He was going to make sure to stick to the obvious worn path in order to get through it quickly. If there was anywhere that he didn’t want to get lost in a forest of all places, not with how quick he was trying to move.
As he started walking through, he fished out his PokeGear again. It wouldn’t be long until he reached Azalea Town and onto the gym battle with Bugsy. He figured he’d swap his team about a bit and give Shuffle a chance to battle; he wanted to be a bit fair and give the gym leader a chance at least. Of course, he was in a bit of a rush and if push came to shove he would bring out the tough guns.
Determined, Sebastian returned his PokeGear to his bag and rounded the bend in the path. He was halted however in his steps at the sight of a familiar little creature. "PI! PICHU PI!" The little yellow rodent squeaked in agitation, letting lose a free spark in its apparently anger. Sebastian literally jumped back to avoid the shock; whether it was strong or not, he certainly didn’t want to have it hit him. Once he was clear he stared blankly at the creature.
"How… did you..." He started up, a hand raising to rub behind his ear in utter disbelief. He was pretty darn sure he’d deposited this little Pichu into the safe hands of the Nurse Joy only minutes ago. How did it get free? Better yet, how did it get free and then ahead of his without him noticing?
"Pi! Pichu pichu pi!" The runt responded, mushroom still firmly gripped between its paws. The fact that he was still holding onto that mushroom still was impressive as well. Sebastian frowned, shaking his head and straightening up. Placing his hands on his hips the man stared at the Pichu a moment. He didn’t have time to try and drop it back at the Pokemon Center, especially if it was just going to pull an escape artist move again to follow him. Why was it following him anyways?
"Geeze...," Sebastian grumbled, rubbing thoughtfully at the underside of his chin. He didn’t have time for this. "Do you want to come with me?" He finally inquired as he stared down at the small rodent. The Pichu gave him a sort of questioning look, expression stern as it seemed to consider the proposition. How terrible, to have to reason with a pokemon you didn’t even own.
"Pi." The yellow pokemon finally responded, eyeing the mushroom a moment before turning on the heels of its feet and marching on as though leading the way. Well… at least that was dealt with for now. He’d have to figure out what to do with this renegade pokemon later.

It was a bit of a slowdown trying to follow the Pichu through the forest. The pokemon didn’t exactly have the longest of strides and well… Sebastian was a rather tall fellow. Eventually he decided to take the lead, picking up speed and stepping over the pokemon so that he was now leading the way as opposed to the other way around.
"Chu!" The Pichu objected, cheeks sparking a bit as it shot Sebastian a less than pleased look. Sebastian just ignored it though, swiping a stray strand of hair out of his face and instead focusing on adjusting his team for the upcoming battle. As he moved Rummy’s ball from his belt he paused and stared at it a second. This would probably be a good time to start figuring out how to help the Leafeon perform better as well, now that he thought about it. After all, they’d be setting out to do contests as well soon and if Rummy was still flopping around like a mad cabbage, they’d be winning nothing. He’d have to think about how to make the moves more… appeasing.

- A half an hour or so of steady speed walking and the pair found themselves at the gate on the other side of Ilex Forest that exited to Azalea Town. Perfect! Sebastian couldn't help but smile in mild triumph. Once this battle was out of the way, he would be well on his way to the other gym leaders and Cianwood. So far, everything was going swimmingly.
"How long are you going to hold on to that mushroom for exactly?" Sebastian inquired, his head turning just a bit to eye the Pichu that was now hanging off of his shoulder. The little thing had gotten tired trying so desperately to keep up with the taller man and either out of sympathy or annoyance he'd allowed it to hitch a ride on his shoulder. Miraculously, it was still holding onto that mushroom. Amazing.
"Pi. Pichu." Was the curt response he received to his question. Sebastian just shook his head and sighed; so many difficult pokemon seemed to be dropping in his path. What was the deal? Either way, there was no time to worry about that. He had a battle to focus on.

"...So how did you get away from the pokemon center exactly?" Sebastian suddenly chimed the question, drawing Pichu away from his thoughts concerning the mushroom to look at the man. Sebastian had turned his head a bit to look over his shoulder, eyeing the little creature with a sort of studious gaze. The rodent shifted a moment, gaze shifting left than right as he seemed to try and decided the best way to answer.
"Chu." Was the curt response that Sebastian received to his question. The man slowed a bit in his steps, staring back at the rodent with a sort of curious look as a free hand rubbed behind his ear. "...Huh." Was his response, gaze redirecting forward as he resumed his previous pace of walking. ► The Ilex Forest was just as lush as ever before. Even with the coming winter month's this place remained mostly green. Besides the chill in the air as the cooling temperatures set in and the pokemon now working towards gathering a winter's food supply one might not even realize it was late October here. It wouldn't last long. Azalea town was positioned in a place where winter hit fast and hard after taking its sweet time setting in. Ohmarow assumed it would be less then a month before it was snowing here.
There was however a small number of tree's that had begun to turn bright oranges and rich browns mixed with reds and yellows scattered haphazardly throughout the forest. The trail had been cut clean by the loggers who frequented the area this time of the year gathering fire wood for Azalea town. Normally they cut from the tree's to the east of town year round to get Kurt fire Wood. Come winter Kurt stopped smithing poke'balls. He was probably getting ready to pack up shop for the year now in fact. Ohmarow wondered if he could catch the old man before then and get some practice in smithing and repairing.

► Following the trail lead Ohmarow through a vast majority of the area he had become so familiar with in the years prier to his departure as a trainer. It gave a strange yet familiar feeling, something akin to what one felt stepping back into their own home after being away on vocation for an extended period of time. It was refreshing and somehow new even though it was all the same visually. Nothing had changed save how he felt being here again. Rahvok, who had taken to her female human disguise on the other hand clearly didn't enjoy the sentry as much as her adoptive trainer. "I thought we where chasing down some thug?" Rahvok asking in a rather drawn out and whiny voice. Even by human standards that would be annoying if repeated but thankfully he'd gotten use to her over all temperament. "Things change." Was his short and to the point counter. Rahvok didn't take to kindly to his lack of detail in his explanation. Huffing and crossing her arms as she kept pass. "So whats the new plan then? " Ohmarow ignored the question. Rahvok had gotten use to this about him at least and let the subject die.
Sense Ko's disappearance Ohmarow had reverted back to his withdrawn former self to the greater extant. It was hard not to open up here and there now that he had but at that some note it wasn't hard to shut himself out. Qungra had remained optimistic of Ko's fate but her trainers negative emotional state had cause her to become a fleeting visitor rather then the constant companion he had once known.
The trail began to thin ahead as sit looped around a small body of water before it would redouble in size as it passed by the Shinto Shrine hidden deep in the forest. Ohmarow was headed in that direction in order to rest and say a prayer.

► Coming upon the Shinto shrine Ohmarow was greeted by Qungra. The steel psychic type legendary had been resting at the foot of the shrine but sensing the approach of her trainer awoke to rejoin him. "I wondered when you'ed show up." Qungra said yawning as she reclaimed her spot within the cowl of his jacket. Ohmarow remained silent a moment longer as he approached the shrine to pray. "Any thing?" He asked in a hushed whisper. "No, not even a trace." Ohmarow signed as he closed his eye and knelt. Rahvok looked on confused but didn't interrupt her trainers odd behavior. Qungra obliged to no such sensibility. "I take it your going home ?" The question gained no physical reaction from her trainer but Rahvok perked up greatly. Dropping her arms and stepping into Ohmarow's peripheral vision. "Wait what? Still no responce. Ohmarow remained knelt in a moment of silence that would drag on for another few minuets before he stood without warning. Rahvok remained rather irritable a while longer as she mentally decoded her trainers odd behavior but ultimately gave up. Ohmarow remained in silent thought the remaining leg of the trip to Azalea town having nothing to say to either pokemon. Nothing he said would change anything, how he felt, the cold hard facts or the end result to come.

► Ohmarow was pleased to repeat the good fortune in a second battle with two Grass-type Pokemon, an Oddish and Paras. The Ilex forest was teeming with weak Pokemon to battle. Easy prey for still unrefined Pokemon like Livgritra and Jinga'me. Had it not been for better hunting grounds further north near Goldenrod city he might have stayed to train. The Grass and Bug types here were weak enough that almost any Pokemon on his belt could beat them, even a pair of them as proven by Livgritra. The advantage of going further north was type advantages. almost every Pokemon with him could beat the normal, psychic and flying types there.

After a long back and forth between trainer and pokemon, the two ended up agreeing that October would not run from Layla as long as the absol promised to stop trying to get rid of her team. Feeling more than a little worn out by the whole ordeal the young trainer decided to keep moving through the forest into the next town. On her head sat her unusually quiet togetic, he seemed to to sense his trainers stress and decided to just comfort her with his presences. His trainer was keeping her stare to the ground lost in though with a small frown on her face, he briefly wondered if their new member hag anything to do with it. Wei was rather astonished when she entered the woods from the gatehouse. It had been no later than mid-day, she was sure, but here in the forest it was nearly pitch black. "Perpetual nighttime." Wei muttered as she looked up at the closed canopy above her, barely a single ray of sunshine made it's way down into the forest, but still... it was oddly well lit, despite no sunlight breaching the path head. It was.. calming. Perfect for meditating, as well as training.
Slipping just a bit of a ways off the beaten path, Wei perched herself in a somewhat sizable opening between the trees, their canopies still blocked out the sunlight, but it was an open enough area for everyone to find their own places and stretch out their legs. Before Wei got to work setting up camp for the time they'll need it, she offered Xue an item known as a Lucky Egg, an item said to boost the experience gained from battles and the like. With that in mind she rested down and pulled out the flute from earlier. "Perhaps, a bit of music before we try and train?" Wei smiled, reaching down to pat Wori Wori's snout. The croc chomped her maw in excitement.
Bringing the flute to her lips, the blonde blew into it, finding it's tone... different. She was used to Flutes, but something more along the lines of a Pan flute or a Piccolo. Whatever the case, she tried her best to match up notes of one of favorite lullaby with the flute. The result... wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. However, it did attract some wild Pokemon to the clearing, which... was good, for training.

Wei was happy to see Xue was able to manage a battle on her own, but she wasn't to trilled to see a Zubat swoop in without warning after the deer's victory for a surprise Wing Attack. Wori Wori however was quick to step in, just as the bat tried for another Wing Attack, this time however the bat was met with Wori Wori's icy fist, sending it fluttering weakly back into the forest, this apparently angered it's brethren, as two more Zubat emerged from the woods. Unlike the Oddish, who'd only been startled into attack with Sweet Scent, these Zubat seemed upset, and ready to battle. Calling Xue back to her side, she quickly healed up the poor Fawnbite, before it turned back to face the twin Zubat, as if she wanted to fight again. Her companion, Lu was totally against the idea, acting as though he'd fight in her place, but Lu sadly was at a disadvantage. "Do not worry, I think I will use a switch train method with this one." Wei spoke up. "Xue will not be in any danger." She added to reassure the protective Deerling. He looked back at Wei, a look in his eyes suggesting he was trying to trust her. Thankfully, it worked. Lu turned back to Xue, and gave a low accepting grunt, to which Xue bobbed her head and pranced forward. Wori Wori would deal the needed damage to end these Zubats, and Xue could reap the benefits of having fought at Wori Wori's side... sorta.
