“Unfortunately my magic's not much good for healing broken bones,” Palatine said, facing Hvergelmir with an apologetic grimace.
It seemed Babylon had a handle on that situation in any case. Palatine stared at him for a few moments, a bit weirded out by all the glowy stuff. His aura felt a little off, too, now that she was paying attention to Order auras and not Chaos ones. Not a bad off, just... not exactly the same as everyone else's.
Huh. Weird. That thing they were doing with the rings caught her attention too, but Palatine shrugged it off for the time being. Now definitely wasn't the time or the place for at length discussions about strange magical phenomena.
A younger voice soon attracted her attention. The moment she heard it she rolled her eyes up to the sky and muttered a curse under her breath, because of course she had to be wrong about there being no kids there. Of course. That was her luck, and typical of the war, she realized. One would think the Code would have more sense that to drag children along.
But then she actually looked at the kid, and she had a pretty good idea as to who he was, if only because he was dressed like a boy scout and Sessrumnir had given that description to identify his younger ******** ******** ********, give me a minute,” she said to those around her, and began to jog in the direction of the forest, calling to Oberon. “Hey! Hey, hey, kid! Wait a minute, the tea might help. Or it will help, I don't know, but either way you shouldn't be going into a strange forest on your own with Chaos wandering about. I'm pretty sure your mom would've taught you ********, how was she going to face Claire?????

"We'll come to you, fewer of us." Kairatos suggested, They'd move more quickly trying to meet up with the larger troupe. "Five or six, including a cat. One of the senshi could probably use a bandaid or two if anyone's got some healing boosts. Penny here's bleeding energy like Babylon and it's definitely interesting to the youma we've encountered." (This certainly might explain the screeches that had been likely heard in the background.)
"Let's get Penny and the rest out of the hole, then we can march, keep a perimeter around the most injured, keep off any more youma." He suggested, presumably to Thraen. "Or...?"
He waited for the Senshi to make suggestions or over rule his own ideas.
"I'm alright," Tantlaus said, getting carefully to his feet, "save healing for people who got worse than just a little jostled by that thing falling." He was far too familiar, these days, with checking for broken bones, and so it was with practiced ease that he made sure everything still moved the way it was supposed to. Once that was ascertained, he scooped up his scarf and went back to Hver and Chariklo and Babylon.
"Everyone here alright?" He asked. Hvergelmir had taken a knocking - but it looked like between healing and whatever Babylon was doing, she'd be okay. And she had managed to connect with more of the forces of Order here.
Good. "Well. The more the merrier, and more people certainly can't hurt. That wasn't the end of their youma by a long shot, I'm sure."

Glitnir's decision was good as made as far as he was concerned. He had heard the Dark Mirror Senshi mention that the way to Avalon was towards the forest, and Babylon seemed to think this was the way to go. Furthermore, a little boy (So, that's a Chibi Senshi, he thought) was charging off towards the forest, with Palatine coming after him. Unsure whether to follow them immediately or let Palatine wrangle the kid herself, he said, "Uh, guys, it looks like at least one of us is already headed towards the forest. My opinion probably doesn't mean much, but I think we should follow them. And not split up. If they've got this many dangerous youma, splitting up would just let them pick us off that much more easily."
"Yeah," Babylon said, glancing at Tantalus. He knew he'd met the guy before, back when he was going through his near-death experience, but didn't recall more than that. Menachem had taken over the conversation pretty quickly, and Babylon hadn't come-to until it was well over. "I think we're gonna be okay."
He got to his feet, turning his attention towards Phact. "I've been here before," the knight confirmed, "But that doesn't mean I'm any safer here than anyone else. Avalon... it's a weird place." If he had to describe it, he'd say it was basically a feral wonder - and it was under attack, and it'd be looking to protect itself. Or, he assumed that was how it worked. He didn't actually know.
"Chariklo says that she already saw Avalon - she's through the woods."
Which was the direction people looked like they were moving in, anyway. "There's a lot of Negaversers on the island," he said - Chariklo had said as much, and Kairatos had confirmed they weren't the only group here against them. "We're only going to keep running into them, and we've got to clear them out."
So yeah.
Definitely heading into the dark and scary woods. Palatine and Oberon had already gotten them started, so it was pretty easy to just follow them, yeah?

As the party heads into the forest, they hear a sound like a great gong coming from deeper within the woods. Through the foliage, there is a visible golden light that flashes into being. It slowly fades, leaving everything dull and gray once more.
Do you head towards the disturbance, or away?
Heading towards the disturbance will bring you closer to Avalon, Arcelite, and the final battle.
Heading away will bring you closer to Zone 2.
The next DM post will come at 11am PST so post your choices before then.

Eternal Sailor Chariklo - 177HP
Looking as if she could kiss Babylon if it weren't for the fact that she was engaged and his girlfriend was unconscious and in danger, Chariklo limited her show of affection to a smile and brief nod.
"If it'll work on me, I would love some healing. One of the assholes we got shipped in with took exception to my leaving the party and I won't be much use if only one of my arms is working right."
Sighing, she settled to the ground, deciding that while they figured out options, she could rest a minute. Watching Hver curiously, she caught sight of the ring communication. Well, it was good to know that her group wasn't the only force for Order around.
And once the party was ready to move into the forest, she stood up and simply followed along. If it hadn't been for her worrying about possible ambushes and the dull grayness of the place, she would have thought this was a pretty spot. Lost for a moment in her own thoughts, the sound of a gong followed by the golden flash of light startled her back to full awareness. Gold light, gold mist. The weird gold mist around Avalon's body...
"Not to put any pressure or anything on y'all, but I think that's our cue to get the hell over there. Something's happening."
Without waiting, Chariklo adjusted her direction slightly to head towards the disturbance.
So, uhh, I'm at work pretty much all day, so I won't be able to reply to anything to late late tonight or early tomorrow morning. I am so sorry.[/quote

Glitnir nodded in agreement but did not actually move, waiting for the others to take point. "I agree. That definitely sounds like our cue to 'get the hell over there.'"
Nodding as she heard what Babylon had to say, Phact glanced towards the woods. Of course it was the woods. Always the creepy place where things could leap out of the trees and attack you. Sometimes she wished that she was more like a dove and had wings....
"Then into the woods we go. We all were brought here for a erason and I highly doubt it is to pray in the church." Phact shrugged before one last time she glanced at Babylon. "By the way, you and your name seem very familiar. Ever been to one of those training days months ago?"
She didn't wait for an answer before heading off in the direct of the woods after everyone else. She hates this. She hated following blindly into anything and most of all, she disliked the what she was seeing. This was order? This was the 'good guys'?
Shaking her head, Phact came out of her daze just in time to catch the light. Standing there blinking, she in turn joins the group heading towards it. Avalon was in a golden orb. Might have gotten into luck.
"What could happen?" She asked looking at the eternal.

Hvergelmir Knight - 206 HP + (50) HP = 256 HP - high as a kite, this is too many HP
Hvergelmir was having a little trouble concentrating -- not least because there seemed to be about six different things going on at once. The elegant Venus knight was there, apologizing that she couldn't help, and then before Hvergelmir had the chance to tell her that she didn't mind, and was actually feeling just fine (but that Chariklo could maybe use the help), the woman was gone again. Then, while she was mid-conversation with Kairatos, still trying to figure out what was going on in his part of Avalon, Babylon had come to see her, had passed a warm energy through her skin -- and now she felt absolutely sublime. She was thrumming with positive energy, oozing with it -- so when Tantalus came over to check on them, she favored him with a huge, toothy smile and a dreamy wave with her good hand (which made the hologram of Kairatos wobble in the air where it was hovering over her hand until she noticed and stopped).
But that was okay -- Hvergelmir felt positively radiant. She felt like getting up and running. When about half of their party started making for the woods -- and Babylon suggested that finding Avalon was their top priority -- it made sense, and she agreed without complaint.
"Okay," she said merrily to Kairatos, "Well, we're gonna head into the woods now." She giggled abruptly, thinking of Sondheim. "It would be great if you come and see us! You should -- it would be fun." Getting to her feet, she said wonderingly, "Everyone should! Thraen, too. Say hi for me! You know, I don't think he thinks he has any friends, but guess what. I bet he does. We should totally be his friends."
This caused a brilliant idea to occur to her. "We should be everyone's friends! Wouldn't that be awesome?! I feel funny. Kind of buzzy. I think it was too much magic, maybe, it's so weird. But it's okay! I'm like, extra okay now." She took off at a quick stride after the group. "Any-hoo -- I guess I should go, I want to check on Bifrost and Falias." She fixed the little hologram with a comically serious look. "I'll miss you, okay? Call me if you get bored."
Babylon gave Hvergelmir a sidelong look, not sure whether he'd actually helped her with the application of magic or... what, exactly? She seemed kind of drunk, and he heard her say something about too much magic and - oh, no, that was his fault. Well, god damn, he was so sorry, he was just trying to help. She had to know that, right?
His attention turned towards the gong and the flashes of light. That looked... that looked bad.
"That way," he hollered, following Chariklo towards the disturbance. Prophetic dreams of the future were, apparently, a super good way to make friends who would help rescue your girlfriend from a Negaverse incursion on her wonder. He'd have to try it again sometime. Or not. Arkady had seen their future child and she would not shut up about the matter.

Super Sailor Tantalus -- 140 HP
Tantalus let out a sharp exhale. That burst of golden light was not something he wanted to see. "Is there some sort of award within the Negaverse for screwing with forces you don't understand? It feels like there must be," he grumbled. "We are definitely going to go see what that is," he said.
But before he took off into the woods, he carefully undid his sash, sliding off the small lantern attached to it. "We're going to need a little light, though I'm not sue how the, ah, calming effect this has will affect Lady Hvergelmir." Affixing the title of "Lady" was about ninety percent pure flattery, but he would never apologize for flattery.
The lantern flickered to life, and six small glowing orbs flickered out of it, hovering around the Dark Mirror. "I'm not sure how far these will range, but hopefully far enough."
Tantalus's lights range further ahead, illuminating the dense forestry. As the party moves towards the disturbance, the trees thin out--there are more of them on the ground than there are standing upright. There is more of the gashing and chalk marking from the village, but this area is pretty well ******** up and it's getting dark.
Just to make matters more unpleasant, it starts to rain, and up ahead you can hear voices.
"This ******** weather, am I right," says one of them. "If it got any more disgusting..."
The other groans. "I know. Were you here the day it stormed so bad Arcelite couldn't tell which direction was home?"
Branches snap under the approaching pair's feet. It sounds like a lot more than two people, though...

Squire Falias: Current HP = 132
Falias had hung back once the youma were dusted, neither taking up the pink garbed Squire's offer of healing or Babylon's offer at energy.
He'd only gotten a bit of bruising from the thing - there had been worse injured - like Hvergelmir. A bit of bruising wouldn't kill him.
He'd hung back over discussion of where to go next too, although he'd privately agreed that it was pointless staying where they were and thus had followed the group into the fores and then after to check out the disturbance. Falias was stacting to think better of his decision however, particularly once it started raining although the lantern that the Dark Mirror Super senshi produced meant that at least they weren't wandering blind - not like that part in Mistral...
So not wandering blind was good...
He froze at the sound of snapped branches and voices - the sounds seemingly coming towards them. "Looks we have company" he said, although he didn't particularly address his words to anyone.
So everyone just more or less ignored him and plowed ahead with the forest thing -- well, minus the one person who saw the merit in both, brownie points for that one -- but long story short, it wasn't like Ba Sing Sei had a whole lot of choice but to tag along. No way was he going to stick around on his own. It was quickly turning into one of those frying-pan-fire situations, and he just had to hope him and his trusty cabbage would make it through.
It wasn't looking too good, to be totally honest. Torn up trees, weird flashing lights that had gone down, a nice eerie light to guide the way now... nothing about this situation was thrilling, and even if he wasn't limping around, he felt like he was in way over his head. Why would something like this summon someone like him?
When they heard voices, he froze for a solid five seconds. When Falias spoke, he put his finger to his lips as if he was trying to tell him to keep it quiet. He didn't really know what good it would do or anything, but maybe they didn't notice all these pages and whatever else were here yet? He was probably being too optimistic there, but... ugh.
