"Amarus is a pretty name." Judas commented. She wasn't too bad either in that dress. He tilted his head at her question. Then again he tilted it mimicking her. "I'm fine." he answered calmly, "It's all cool." He didn't really think that hard on her question, or even consider it had motives. He did start a bit when she asked if it was fun. "Not if you're supposed to be torn apart? He told me that yesterday." Judas stared towards the tent too considering. "You wanna try again?" And there, his speech was slipping from the more proper forms his mother had hammered into him.

Amarus shrugged a shoulder. Compliments were fairly odd to her. She had only recently understood the concept of changing outfits. "It is, I suppose, yes. It means unfading or something of that nature," she thought aloud, again, smiling though she was not looking at Judas at all-- she was thinking, again. of something far off.
She laughed when he tried to mimic her headtilt. "So much like my phoenix hatchlings... and like Crow, like Crow used to do," she said.
"You were supposed to be torn apart? Perhaps he simply meant the plastic gnome extention of yourself," she said, helpfully, rather than offer to dismember him, which had been her first instinct.
"Yes, why not?" she asked. Amarus spoke well, she always had, though her voice often had a distant, quiet quality to it.
If you asked her to write, though, it would be attrocious. The skills just didn't translate. It had a lot to do with the fact she was a ghost, this specific kind of ghost, the spirit remnant of someone once living.
It didn't seem like the dose was too low, but it didn't seem terribly high either. It was a shame she didn't know him better, so she couldn't really tell if it was working.
Without further ado, Amarus entered the tent to have her fortune told with Judas.
"DID YOU KNOW HARUFFE SPELLS HARUFFE'S NAME WITH AN EXTRA EFF AND EE AT THE END TO LOOK MORE PRESTIGIOUS? WHAT? OH YES CARD. YOU ARE PRESTIGIOUS AS HARUFFE THE GREAT!" was Haruffe's decree. Amarus absorbed the experience very seriously, so that she might wait until she was out of the tent to laugh madly. She accepted the ticket with both hands.
[[ Minis SN: Faceyourdemons ]] Marushii Hi, you! Your booth is really fun, the concept and execution are so great xD Amarus won a ticket with a roll of 2, I believe! Also Judas and Amarus attended together, for the Soda Fortune Treat? biggrin <3

Judas followed after the ghoul into the tent. And her fortune wasn't so bad. Cautiously he picked out a card in a different position from before. He was none too happy when it got turned over though to reveal it was the exact same card as yesterday. " OH. HARUFFE SEE THAT YOU WILL BE TORN TO PIECES. BUT THAT OKAY! IT MEANS YOU ARE EASY TO PUT BACK TOGETHER, LIKE GIANT PUZZLE." You win nothing. At least he didn't panic this time, for whatever reason. He still didn't feel too good. "Gnomes huh? Better be them." Marushii Judas came with Amarus, SN: Wingseagle Face your demons Poofing for bed, but feel free to leave something for me to reply to.

Amarus listened to Judas' fortune with equal amusement, and couldn't quite contain her laughter. She tucked her head to the side and bent her arm at the elbow, laughing into it and trying to pretend it was a sudden coughing fit. "Easy to put back together," Amarus repeated, once she was quite done laughing, and nodded seriously at Haruffe.
"Being torn to pieces is not so bad either way, Judas," Amarus said, quietly and actually seriously once they'd left. "Haruffe was right: you just have to put yourself back together. I am sure you would survive," she said, smiling. "You would have to. We are often torn to pieces here," she added. Amarus herself couldn't even count the number of times she'd had her heart torn in two-- not by relationships in the conventional teen sense, in the sense that she had been part of an illusion of death, that she'd watched Conquest torn apart piece by piece, that she'd lost her memories, been consumed by the power of Revenge, had her room and all her things devoured by shadowlings: being at Amityville was never boring.
It was certainly not always pleasant, either.

Haruffes fortunes for Nova have been interesting over the last few days. He enters the booth again and points out the 'card' he wants. It is flipped over. The minotaur looks a little worried. "YOU STAY UP LATE PARTYING. HARUFFE WISHES HARUFFE COULD GO TO PARTY, BUT HARUFFE IS DOING HARUFFE'S PART BY TELLING FORTUNES. MAYBE YOU TAKE THIS AND STAY SAFE YES?" Nova receives a violet-colored glowstick. And by "glowstick" it's a minotaur-sized glowstick that is approximately two feet long. It also comes with a carnival ticket stuck to the middle of it. Nova grins, oh he could have fun with this! Marushii ticket, but I'm maxed for the day, just playing for fun

Benji can't help but laugh amicably at Haruffe's words. "Thanks, Haruffe," he says warmly, before looking at the little minipets. He touches the Fawn Child gently, nodding in agreement. "I agree!" he replies, grinning up at the minotaur as he cradles the little fawn gently. Marushii DETERMINATION IN THOSE EYES Minis SN: lmasters35

Adelaide returned to the Minotaur's booth with an eager grin and great interest in what the great Haruffe would have to say this time.
A party? The Nightmare laughed, delighted by the news. "Perhaps I can take you next time!" she replied in good humor. She eagerly accepted the sword-sized glow stick of apple red, brandishing it with glee. "Thank you, Haruffe!" she chirped before dancing off with her glow stick.

Ah, yes, fortune telling. He liked fortune telling. He was a bit taken aback by the sheer... presence... of the minotaur, but that didn't stop him from coming up to see what would happen at this booth. He was also admittedly very glad that he wouldn't have to be the one lifting those giant stone cards. When the card was drawn and flipped and he was told he should be playing with fire... well, sure, alright. Maybe he'd take that as a sign and try to see if there were any fire-based booths around. He had this huge water balloon now, too, in case it went sideways.

Adelaide decided to pay a visit to Haruffe earlier today, realizing that getting a fortune told at the end of the day might be a bit against the grain. His mention of making many friends made the Nightmare smile in a small but gentle manner - the idea of it was wonderful. The expression quickly melted into surprise as the generous Minotaur then handed her a 'friend,' her expression aglow with wonder.
"Thank you, Haruffe!" she said fondly. "I hope I can call you friend too!" And quite against her own grain, she trotted around the booth and gave the Minotaur a big hug - well, more like barely got her arms halfway around him, he was rather large. It was what he got for the whole 'friend' thing, his own fault really.Marushii DETERMINATION IN THOSE EYES Minis SN: Chrys (( THANK YOU ))

After her failure at the Dancing booth Camilla decided she needed a break from the more physical booths and headed for the great Huffee's booth She gets in line and when it was her turn she goes in and covers her ears as the Minotaur's boothing voice reaches them wensing a bit she had forgotten just how loud his voice was... quickly she picks a card then covers her ears as he begins telling her the Fortune To her delight apparently she was going to make lots of friends! This had the Dormouse ghoul's tail wagging happily but it really started wagging as Huffee gave her a very shiny round apple which she quickly identified as a Minipet "Oh! Thank you!" she says cheerfully in surprise as she takes the apple and slips it into her pocket (she was starting to think she should have brought a bag...) before getting up then waving and leaving Marushii DETERMINATION IN THOSE EYES Minis SN: Rikku Takanashi

Hollandaise drifted once again into not-quite-madam Haruffe's tent. This time, she was sans her dragony shadow. It somehow made the minotaur seem even bigger. One day, she thought to herself, I will be that tall. I will rival the elders. Until that time, though, she was merely a short Warder. She smiled politely and tapped one of the cards. Maurshii The minotaur looks a little worried. "YOU STAY UP LATE PARTYING. HARUFFE WISHES HARUFFE COULD GO TO PARTY, BUT HARUFFE IS DOING HARUFFE'S PART BY TELLING FORTUNES. MAYBE YOU TAKE THIS AND STAY SAFE YES?" You receive a glowstick of your choice of color. And by "glowstick" it's a minotaur-sized glowstick that is approximately two feet long. It also comes with a carnival ticket stuck to the middle of it. "Oh, oh. It seems like I am destined for such a life of partying. How unlike me." She staggered under the sudden weight of another glow-stick. This one was purple. "Haruffe, you should do this for a living," she said brightly, pulling the ticket off of the glow-stick. With a wave, she was off.
