[Maintenance]Alec frowned, making a frustrated grunt sound at his misfortune scratching his head slightly. It occurred to him they'd been shown schematics before, and moved over one of several booklets on the benches around them. "Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear..this stuff is so high tech. Theres so many steps to how to connect everything even sheesh." He wasn't reading anything, it was from memorization. "I think this one makes it easier to follow I guess." He pushed a slip of paper to the girl, more gesturing to the images then anything else. "As for service..I'm still going between Garrison and Survey team. Not sure." Alec admitted with a small shrug. "I haven't made up my mind yet I guess either."He rest his chin in his gloved hand sighing as he moved to another part, fixing his misstep with a correct twist of the small wrench he'd been working with since he sat down. Once that was back in place he moved to the fan section, noticing it seemed damaged, as if some one had gotten something caught in the fan, he pointed at it, removing the head of the screw, presumably so he could swap it out. If nothing else between the two of them they'd get these done, clumsily or not. It was the effort that counted he was sure, they still had a lot of time to learn the ins and outs of everything at least. Qixel Don't be sorry! I'm honored you laughed. [Maintenance]Lenore accepted the slip and gave it a quick look over. She supposed that the illustrations helped to convey the information, regardless of the fact that it seemed like a bunch of technobabble. She chose to ignore the part where it explained the blades were 'pointy' and to 'not touch'. She'd already gotten firsthand experience of that, no pun intended. Looking up at Alec, the girl gave a non-committal "Oh." in response to his statement. Watching the boy's work, she did her best to continue to mimic what he was doing. Presumably, he had a better handle on it than she did.

[Maintenance]"I really need to learn how to read...I know Gazelle talked about this in one of the classes I was in..but all I usually go off is images, and my own tinkering." He scoffed slightly knowing that wouldn't always work. Alec made a small grunt of frustration, adjusting a screw one of the wires were out of place, and catching, cutting into the all too important wire cable. With a little tweak...a satisfying click of the reel engaging as it was meant to when fired made him grin. "Have you tried working with hammering out dings much?" Alec remembered his first time..he'd tapped too softly afraid to break the metal. With enough pressure and tension in the wrist it was manageable at least. He'd at least managed to make the proper repair, and was slowly closing the gear back up..giving Gazelle a strange look in wonder about spring that had shot out at him, to which the monotone-like woman merely shrugged and gave him a small nod before wandering past them pausing to inspect Lenore's progress before moving away from them for now.

[Blades]
Shakuntala dipped her head in affirmation and moved aside to allow Farvardin some room to practice. Stretching her worn arms, she waited for her partner to start, and followed her movements in tandem; trying to sync up her positioning with the red-haired girl's. She tried her hardest to keep her movements taut and precise; the blades in her hands reflecting the shimmer of the sun with each slow turn, thrust, and jab. However, instead of paying attention to her own self, her eyes were concentrated on Farvardin and how well she worked the blades.

[Maintenance]Lenore paused as Alec mentioned learning to read. It had been so long since she had learned that it never occurred to her that there were people that still couldn't. Looking over to the older boy, she tilted her head almost imperceptibly before turning back to her work. To his question, the twelve year old shook her head. "I haven't done this before." She admitted. Reading over the information on the scraps of paper, she continued to fiddle with the 3DMG.

[Blades]Farvardin finished up the set and looked over to Tala. She saw that the other girl was watching her and not really paying attention to herself. "Um... Tala... that pose...pffttt.... I'm sorry... but um..... pffftttt...... hahahahahahahahahaha." She ended up laughing at the fact that Tala hadn't paid attention to herself but to Farvardin, not so much the fact that she was in a wrong pose. She ended up dropping the blades as she doubled up laughing. After a couple of minutes of laughing she stood up straight and wiped her eyes. "Oh man Tala.... you should pay more attention to yourself not me. And I'm sorry I laughed so much. I wasn't really laughing at you or your pose... just the fact that you were so intent on watching me." She said when she calmed down some, "Here.... I'll pay attention to you as you go through the motions slowly so you won't get distracted."

[Maintenance]Leaning back from his task he gave a slight shrug as well. "Me either, Ive been in a class with Gazelle, otherwise I'd be lost." Alec admitted quietly, moving onto one of the gas cylinders now that the box was closed up, squinting at it as he wiped it clean, before moving to practice with refueling the tanks properly just to have a good feel for how that worked in practical application. Scratching his head when he couldn't get the two pieces to connect initially. Gazelle leaned in...almost eerily making a small adjustment before casually strolling off again, keeping an eye on those who had moved off to Santos's portion of the training.

By now muscles were achy, and sore, giving grief to most anyone who'd stuck it out the entirety of the training. But with the ripping and shredding of old muscle, came the rebuilding of new and better, just like these trainee's who would be one step closer to blossoming to full fledged members of the military! It was impressive, really, those who'd stuck it out into the fourth and final week of the 3DMG training, nearing the home stretch. There'd been some who hadn't been able to stick it through to this point, and the ones who now gathered to cluster at attention before their instructors had a mixture of determination and weariness in their worn out features.
Once again the trainee's would find themselves before the grand forest that lay along the outskirts of the camp, Baldy standing as proud and intimidating as ever. However... for those who let their gaze wander to behind the building of a man, they might be giving a few double takes. The magnificent tree's that stand oh so beautifully, and strong look as lovely as ever, their foliage lustrous--wait.... what are those shadowy figures? Some may even freeze up as their chests seize a moment with panic. Dotted around in the depths of the wood were giant silhouettes... Were... Were those.. Titans?! What were they doing here? And why wasn't Baldy doing anything about them?! But with a loud throat clearing from their mighty instructor, the trainee's were given clarification.
The shouting rang mercilessly as ever, tones unmatched, and words strangely put, "Congratulations to all of you little grub worms for crawling out of the dung this far! Here's the final test for you dirt nuggets to become at least somewhat useful!" with his own 3DMG gear locked on, Baldy turned and shoot off the two cords to propel himself into the dense forest. Perching atop a branch that was near one of the cutouts of the titan profiles, he thrust a blade out to pout at the nape of the neck, where a cushion was poised, "This is your target, you helpless newborn fawns! Make sure you cut deep into it. None of this wussy little slicing, like you're cutting up a pie! NO! This a cow ready for the slaughter to feed your starving family!" he retracted his sword and slid it back into place, "Use what you've learned these past few weeks to execute a PERFECT finish! Don't you dare even THINK of disappointing us by failing, and having wasted our time!" With that, he boosted himself back to land right before his pupils, smiling uncomfortably sweetly.
"GET TO IT!"

Prompt responseIt was time to get back into the field. Shun narrowed his eyes as he spotted the large silhouettes ahead. He didn't think there would be any actual titans in the forest, so he wasn't particularly alarmed. Sure enough, they were just giant cutouts to represent their true prey. He nodded once, then got his blades in hand. It was time to get to work. Sending out the wires, he sped on towards the first cutout that he could spot. The young man weaved through the trees, then prepared his blades as he neared his target. Once he was close enough, he made his attack, managing to cut a decent size chunk out of it's neck. Prompt responseHe hung off said tree for a little while, recuperating. When he felt he was ready again, he pushed off, looking for a way to regain momentum before trying again at his current titan cutout. This time around, he only managed to cut deeply with one blade. Prompt responseSure enough, that seemed to do excellently. He took some time to build up momentum and speed, then came in for the killing blow, taking out a large chunk of 'flesh' in the process. This was now the last leg of her training: the titan dummies. The last few weeks had strained every muscle in her body, but it all paid off in the end now that she now could put her skills to work. After watching Baldy's (terrifying) display, she nodded her head and launched herself into the treetops. When the first wooden mockup came within view, she clamped both hands on her blades and sliced.
