Hoshigaki Hiru That's kind of a weird way of doing it isn't it? I don't mind using just the three first rolls for now but wouldn't it make more sense that all the attacks be counted individually? Its standard d20 rules. Most animals also have a Full attack option. Typically its 3-20 dmg (2d6 and 1d cool plus strx3 and bonuses x3, but it requires that they give up their move action. So if it grappled somebody for a turn and they didnt get out It could release them and do that.

I'm working on an equipment system, and I wondered if it would make sense that certain weapons (any weapon larger than a small one) have encumbrance?
For example, carrying a huge weapon like Samehada would reduce your dodge rating because it has to hinder your movements in some ways a lot more than simply having a knife hosltered along your thigh.
What do you think?
Also, I've been wanting to try giving weapons HP and resistance for this beta in order to introduce the concept of sundering (and eventully of crafting). I've looked up what it is in standard d20, but the fact that weapon wielding is a skill that increases damage pretty significantly in this guild would make any sunder attempt an instant weapon shatter in our system
Should the hardness and hp of every weapon be reviewed from scratch or do you think I can take all the D&D values x a certain modifier?

That jutsu takes 3 actions to cast so it wont fire until next turn.

Guys, since stats are lower with this beta system let's try having weapon skill increase damage by (1 - 2) per 10 in weapon skill rather than (1 - 2) per 4.
It will also make base weapon and jutsu damage more relevant...

PupSage That jutsu takes 3 actions to cast so it wont fire until next turn. Dx Okay. I just keep on making mistake after mistake, don't I. lol. So next turn I fire the ball, and then get 2 more actions then? Or is it three turns, fired next round, and 3 turns again? Or do I not get a turn? Or.... xD

Cleric, I think it'd be fire the jutsu and then 1 more action. Level 10s get 2 actions per turn smile
But if you choose to attack in your second action, then it'd be with your second roll (so -5 to your attack roll). If that makes sense sweatdrop
@Hiru: Sorry, didn't see that until now! I'm okay with that. Although, considering I took the brunt of the puma damage (first encounter... got hit like 6 times, I think, with the double swipe twice and then the two more swipes?) and was only 25% Hp down...

It'd take 3-4 of Fudou's genjutsus just to get the puma to -2 penalty zone... @___@ (50% Mhp)

Hoshigaki Hiru Hey guys, if there is a pursuit, how would you determine the distance after which someone or something would have succesfully run away? 120 ft is max range for archery in D&D, I would say if they can get to that they can escape unless their opponent has a bow, then its 180.
