'Click'.
Such a simple sound, but each crunch of the stapler's teeth as they punctured Hiro's flesh rang out across the arena, cameramen making sure to get the audio and visual from ringside so all could see and hear, even over the deafening roar of the crowd. It was like a metronome, a rhythm that had gone unheard this entire match but was playing deep down in the hearts of both men who'd bled and broken one another for the sake of the world title.
'Click'.
Going into it, neither one likely thought that their friendship would be tested to such extremes, that their bond could be broken between such fiery tempers as those that'd been stoked inside themselves. One out to prove he wasn't a failure. The other, aiming to prove he wasn't a fluke. This fight would go past the point that their bodies would break down. In fact, Salem couldn't describe the level of pain it put him through just to grip that stapler, let alone hammer it into a human skull. But he wouldn't stop - possessed by passion, by the desire to not just survive, but to conquer.
'Click'.
At last, the metallic teeth of the stapler had gone dull - its venom, emptied from the clip until the well had run dry. Tossing the stapler away, Salem was overcome with a rush of feelings. Pain, frustration, and anger surely among them, but also satisfaction...it felt good, being able to get up off the ground and rise above. The ache in his body would be all the more gratifying when he brought that world title home with him, tonight. The air had become damp and cool. The wind was picking up, and beginning to howl. It was getting colder out...and a copperhead doesn't get caught in the rain. Glaring at Hiro, a sinister smile formed over Salem's bloody mouth as he admired his handiwork, the mewling and bloodied Hiro made a victim for all his denouncers to see.
Turning to face the crowd, Salem grasped at his throat, going wide eyed as he simulated being choked before throwing his hands out to the side in a kind of 'game over' fashion. He was calling for it. The move that brought Freakshow out of retirement. The move that nearly sent Freakshow back to a permanent retirement. Salem's signature submission. The 'guillotine choke', or as Salem affectionately called it, the "Constrictor's Coil". Reaching down, "The Copperhead" would grab Hiro by his sweaty, bloodstained hair, looking to drag him up and wrap an arm around his neck to initiate the hold!

Salem took hold of Hiro brought him up, the number one contender almost completely unable to do anything. He tried to force himself to stay down, but Salem was indeed able to yank him up, and lock him in the Constrictor's Coil! The fans were on their feet, and the flashes from the camera's continued, each of them chanting "Sa-lem CROFT! Sa-lem CROFT! Sa-lem CROFT!" One fan could be heard screaming, "He's Our FAVORITE SON!"
Well, needless to say, they were going to watch their favorite son take home his favorite trophy once more. Hiro struggled a little, the blood that was leaking from the puncture marks of the staples being forced out even more due to Hiro's head and neck being squeezed in the Constrictor's Coil, and the Embodiment of Hatred began to fade away. He reached out his hand, grasping for help, a way out, that just wasn't there. The fire of hatred burning inside of him was flickering away. His vital signs, disappearing. Everything was going black. The ref took hold of Hiro's hand, lifted it up, and it dropped right down, limp. Hiro's eyes snapped shut. The ref raised the challenger's arm a second time...same result. This was it, it all came down to this. If Hiro didn't find someway to keep his arm up, this match was over, and the entire Park knew it. People were banging from their windows high above the park in apartment buildings, watching the show without paying, rooting on the Copperhead. They all came to see Salem Croft walk out with the BBW Championship, and it looked very likely.
The ref raised Hiro's arm once more.

suddenly, the crowd was shocked as what must have been a drunken audience member hopped the ring barricade and sprinted, sliding into the ring. Wait, it wasn't an audience member...it was Killman! Everyone assumed he was not in the building from the video promo but here he was now in the ring. The wild card charged towards the BBW champion in the guillotine submission position and shot a hand for the nerves under the chin for the dreaded Killman Clutch!

Salem had "The Coil" sunk in deep, Hiro was all but gone, but out of nowhere Ryan Killman reared his ugly head once more, sliding into the ring before Salem had time to realize! The referee could only watch as the intruder thrusted a thumb into the champion's throat, taking advantage of Salem's inability to react with his hands occupied on suffocating Hiro to sleep! It didn't matter how hard Salem tried, though - he couldn't resist the body's need to breathe, so as his airway became compromised "The Copperhead" relinquished his submission, trying to fight back the darkness forming around his vision by clawing at Killman to pry himself free before it was too late!

Hiro dropped down out of Salem's grasp, coughing a bit. The air rushed back into his body as the challenger's body stopped being forcibly shut down. Hiro stay on the ground, unaware of Killman attacking Salem and slapping in his own submission move on the champion. It didn't take all that long, but Hiro rolled onto his back, breathing heavily. The rain started to come down a little more than before, but it didn't stop the fans from trying to glimpse into the ring at Killman's appearance and attack, gaining many a boo. Hiro wasn't completely out of it, but he knew he wasn't doing anything whats so ever to Salem right now. What was causing this booing? He lifted his head up from the canvas, and it was quite difficult to do so, and he looked over, and watched as Ryan Killman was choking Salem! The challenger blinked, unable to really recognize Killman due to vision still being blurred just a little, but he could recognize one thing...His hopes weren't gone just yet.

Killman cinched in the Killman Clutch, holding the nerve hold relentlessly as he glared wildly into Salem's slowly fading eyes.
"You think it was funny huh!? You think I'm a ******** clown huh!? Does it hurt b***h!? Does it? huh!? I'm gonna wreck you like you wrecked my car Croft! That was ******** vintage!" he shouted as he took a rage filled delight in the painful hold. He took a second to glance at hiro, giving him a very slight nod.

The audience was livid, by this point. Here, Salem had endured so much pain and struggled so hard to overcome his former friend's wicked ways, and just when it appeared "The Copperhead" could come out on top, Killman crashed the party and made all his efforts for naught. Salem was so close to seizing victory with his submission maneuver, but now he was fighting for his life with scrapes and strikes that were gradually losing power. Salem couldn't breathe, or maybe his nerves were just too weak to keep expending so much energy as he flailed and fought against Ryan, unaware of Hiro recovering at his back or of the fans chanting for him to keep resisting. Salem's fists didn't quit swinging, but it was clear that the strength was draining rapidly out of the champion's arms. The adrenaline was wearing off. The wounds were setting in. Salem's eyes were fluttering sporadically as the lights flickered on and off behind his eyes.

Hiro started to get himself up, but it took quite some time. The hold had to have been locked in for well over a minute and a half at this time, but this was just fumes Hiro was running on at this point. He pushed himself up to his feet using the ropes, and turned to face the back of Salem, still in the submission, and starting to fade. Hiro smiled. Those same blood stained teeth showed their ugly mark once again. The Most Hated Man in Wrestling History, the Biggest Backstabber you'd ever meet, and the challenger here this evening, took a few side steps forward, and aimed a huge, game ending superkick for the back of Salem's head, attempting to kick his head off right there. Would this be it? Would Hiro finally hit a superkick...or would he once again fail to get the job done? This was what it came down to...this was the end.

Salem never saw it coming.
He was so busy trying to fend off Freak's fresh and fierce enforcer that "The Copperhead" couldn't see behind him...couldn't see the smirk on Hiro's face, or the look of fear in the faces of fans across the aisles and through the rows. Maybe if Salem had eyes in the back of his head, but had that been the case he likely would have wished not to see the superkick that shot up, connecting with the back of Croft's skull in a sick fashion. Snapping the champion's head forward, driving his throat even harder into Killman's submission, the surge of pain and force momentarily made Salem's eyes roll back into his head...his arms and legs, going limp like dead weight against Killman's grip. The crowd was mortified. Some wondered whether Hiro had just snapped Salem's neck, the way their double-finishers had intersected as they had. There wasn't a closed mouth in the house as people either booed Hiro, booed Killman, or just stood silently slack-jawed at what they'd just seen done to a human being.

Killman let Salem drop after the superkick cracked against the the copperhead's skull. Killman then dropped down to his belly, his face near Salem's.
"awww did baby fall down? That hurt ********!? You're on the highway to hell Salem!" the one man jackass crew then went up to his knees, giving the what could possibly be former champion a double bird.

Hiro's body practically buckled, but it did what it wanted him to do....It dropped him right on top of Salem. Hiro used both hands to hook one of Salem's legs, and the park was still stunned and booing hard. The rain began to come down hard. A slight roll of thunder could be heard far off in the distance. How strange, there was no rain in the forecast, let alone a thunder storm. The fans began to heave garbage into the ring, sickened at this display. Their favorite son...abused, battered...and probably beaten. The next three seconds would decide that. They wouldn't just decide if Salem's night was over, but they would also decide Hiro's fate. Would this finally be the night where Hiro embraced the hate and it brought him a World Championship for the first time in three years, and only the fourth time in his entire career? The ref dropped down to the mat.

"One!" the referee said, bringing a hand to the mat. Though the crowd was anxious for signs of life, there were none to be seen from Salem as the official slapped his hand to the moist canvas again. "Two!" he continued, the fans growing louder as they hoped against hope that "The Copperhead" could once again surprise them, surprise Hiro and Ryan, and prevent what was sure to be a riot from unfolding in the arena. Until the referee's hand struck the mat a third and final time, still no movement from the valiant, but eviscerated, world champion. A universal shockwave went through the crowd as the referee called the final count, getting up to signal for the bell.
"Three! That's it, ring it!" the man in the striped shirt said, urgently trying to end the match and get some medical help out here for Salem, who was beginning to scare some members of the audience with how still he'd become since taking the double finisher. It didn't even look like he was conscious when the announcer came across the speaker system to declare the outcome.
"Your winner...and NEW Bad Blood Wrestling World Champion...Hiro Shin-Mozas!"
That was it. Those series of words were like an incantation to invoke civil disobedience and unrest as the ringside area became cluttered with trash and food mere seconds after the decision was called. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Killman, choking Salem in his brightest hour, only to have Hiro knock him into his darkest moment. There were no cheerful faces in the stands - just children, crying and inconsolable at the downing of their beloved hero, their parents trying to assure them that he'd be alright even as Salem continued to remain motionless in the ring. Other fans were already storming towards the gates, too angry to see the aftermath of what had just transpired. Some still watched anxiously, as though waiting for some miraculous ruling to come down from backstage, but nothing came. Only the gradually thickening downpour of rain and the realization that weighed down on each person in the arena like a sack of wet clothes - that this, like it or not, was real.

Hiro didn't believe it...at all. The ref's hand smacked the mat a third time, and for some reason, Hiro couldn't believe it at all. He couldn't even understand that Salem didn't kick out. He couldn't FATHOM it. He sat up breathing heavily, looking at the ref who pointed at him in disbelief. But here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage There I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Hiro slowly got up to his feet, the rain pour doing forcing the blood on his face to begin to drip to the mat once more, a staple or two falling out of place. The ref raised his hand, but Hiro ripped free from his grasp quickly. The NEW BBW Champion stumbled over to the ropes and sloppily exited the ring, staggering over to the timekeeper and ripping away the BBW World Championship from him. Hiro looked at it, the fans booing and searing on their way out of the park. Hiro's die hard fans were getting soaked in the ring but flipping out in happiness. The camera panned in to show Hiro looking at the title, a grin growing on his face as he once again became a World Champion. He spat on the nameplate that read: Salem Croft. The blood started to seep down his body, creating a scary look for all. Hiro raised his newly won Championship in the air as "Turn the Page" continued to play.

Killman laughed, slowly clapping as he enjoyed Salem's loss. He then slipped out and flipped off the whole audience, walking backwards up the ramp and out of the arena.

The heavy rain was rousing Salem awake following the count, Hiro's music a confusing and obnoxious visitor as it blared in his ears. But that wasn't what caught Croft's attention - rather, it was the sight of Killman, slinking up the ramp and towards the stage, that provoked a reaction from the now former world champion. Crawling towards the ramp, Salem struggled to get across the wet ring mat, reaching the ropes nearest the exit after a couple moments. Rolling underneath the bottom rope, Salem damn near fell on his face, only managing to grip hold of the apron to keep from eating a mouthful of padded concrete for what would have felt like the umpteenth time tonight.
Grabbing hold of the neck to his burlap sack, Salem limped towards the ramp, but it was in vain. Killman was already gone, too far ahead for the injured athlete to pursue. Swallowing his pride with a sigh, Salem was forced to turn around - still not thinking about what had happened while he was out, or why Hiro's music was playing. Fans along the barricade nearby were cheering "The Copperhead" along, but that was to be expected. What wasn't, though, was the sight of Hiro clutching the world title that Salem had brought into the arena with him, tonight, from over at the timekeeper's table. As the referee approached to check on the former champ's condition, Salem shoved the man aside, almost falling over when he did so. Eyes trained on the "Hated One", Salem reached into the sack and pulled out his arm, revealing a hooded king cobra coiled around Croft's wrist! Dropping the bag, the newly disposed title-holder hobbled as quick as he could for the new champion, brandishing his snake like it were a whip ready to lash out and strike just as soon as Salem got close!
