[Dyakida]

Leaving...?! Oh no! That meant... "Excuse me." Dyakida said to the person she had been comforting. She felt a presence behind her brush her back and, she assumed, take over as she stood up and made her way out to where she heard the sound of voices, including the light voice of what she had been told was a shifter elder. Young, for an elder.

She leaned on her staff. "Forgive me, but moving... where?" she asked, eyes half closed, a little embarrassed to be asking, "How far from the battle..." she asked, quietly "And how can I be of assistance."

[Peyla]

Peyla was sweet! She was sweet like honey and berries! She was a good sprite, yes yes. She stood proudly at attention, pleased at how her offering was being eaten, and also pleased that she had somehow gotten a giggle out of the pretty leaf lady.

Where was her alkidike? Good question! Peyla was supposed to bring her to them and now that the pretty lady was not sad, Peyla could... She looked out and chimed in surprise. People were moving. Why were people moving. Her little antennae twitched in panic. Moving people nmeat her Alkidike was moving, without her to guide! Nonono! She had to be a good sprite.

She chimed insistently, tugging urgently on Pahana's hand with all her little sprite strength. Peyla would show her where her alkidike was, yes yes, but they had to move because things were happening and Peyla didn't want to lose her Alkidike in the movement! That would be bad!

[Hijil]
Hijil gave the little blue girl a smile. Very cute. Very sweet. "I am hurt." she said, pulling herself against a wall, holding her painful torso. "I am very hurt. But if there is someone else that needs it..." she began, looking around. her neck muscles screamed at her. Bruised?

She crawled onto the cot with effort. "Are you a healer?" she asked the little girl. Frankly, she was more worried about her than herself. The physical pain, she could deal with. The emotional, psychological pain of seeing so much death, she felt, but not much. Exile, perhaps, had numbed her to that pain. However, she didn't want to see it inflicted on others. Especially not one so young, who should be happy and carefree. Her job was to protect others from pain, even and especially that kind of pain.

She was sure that the little girl had a good reason for being here, but she really shouldn't be. "It hurts to move..." she heard calles and winced. "But it seems we will be moving soon." that was not a good sign. "Will you help me...?" she asked, cringing as she slid into a sitting position on her cot. Her sides cried with pain, lots of pain, and her lungs just would not get enough air. "I would be very grateful."

[Nuawahn]
Nuawahn smiled. "Mella!" he said weakly, trying to focus on her, "Mella, lalalalala..." he coughed. Mella mella mella. He liked Mella. "My head hurts, Mella. and..." he smiled at Uquin, "Other... person." he laughed weakly, but that made his head spin, and that made his stomach spin, and his stomach was sore so... that wasn't good.

He frowned, squinting in puzzlement. "Moving?" he blinked, "Moving... where?" he closed his eyes for a long moment, trying to stop the spinning. "I don' want to move. I'm done with adventures for the day, Mellalala..." he said, giggling, or attempting to. His loopy laughter turned into coughing, then, as the coughing faded, his expression grew distant and not happy, "This wasn't a very fun adventure..." he murmured, as flickers of terrible memories shone through the thick, vicsous fog that held his mind. "Not fun..." he tried to sit up. "Oop!" he said, as the room spun again, and he slid back down, feeling sick.

La'amu sniffed Mella and, deeming her familiar, lipped her briefly. There was no need to shout, dear.

The old capramel sensed a change in the air, and flicked her ears warily around her, resting her nose on Nua's cot. Her notcalf was not right. She was worried.

"Oh...!"

The child was slowly realizing that someone who didn't look hurt could still be hurt on the inside. Seeing that they were now heading to another camp, she frowned. Some day Ime would be big enough to carry the wounded, but that day was not today.

"Mama!"

A Wind tribeswoman turned toward the voice, and then called over a couple able bodies to help in carrying the woman. Before Hijil knew it, a young man would be trying to coax her to allow them to carry her.

Ime took her hand.

"S'gonna be okay!"

Uquin - Post 12

Thank goodness Biroki had listened - the man was already looking ragged. The leaf earthling smiled supportively as he could, waiting until the older man had left, before turning back to his patient. But even as he looked over him, waiting for him to stir, news of Antiope calling had begun to spread through nervous murmurs. A huddle?

Uquin hesitated, watching as many of the more skilled healers left the tent to speak with the leader. He was sure that he was supposed to go as well, but... surely anything that had to be said could be repeated off to him later. It seemed wrong to suddenly leave the injured behind. Once the capramel drank, Uquin returned to kneeling next to the other prentice, a small bowl of water ready for him, whenever he did wake up. Which didn't take too long - soon enough the earthling stirred, groaning and opening his eyes. He definitely looked to have a concussion of SOME sort - his eyes were dazed, and the dopey smile and response cinched it.

Smiling back at the other prentice, Uquin soaked a rag in water, shifting closer and carefully holding it to his lips so he could drink. He would normally just let the boy sit up, but with a concussion he didn't want to move his head too quickly - and this way he could just drink it from the rag. Once he'd had some water, Uquin leaned over him again. "What's your name? Are you feeling alright?"

Of course, the question- or the first one at least - was answered quickly by the girl he'd been working with earlier, Mella. She shouted the boy's named (Nuawahn?) and rushed to his side, so Uquin shuffled away respectfully, since she seemed to be his friend. "Moving back?" he echoed, shocked at the announcement. That wasn't... good news by any means. "Move the wounded... but..." He trailed off, looking around. What about the dead? he knew they'd been moved, but surely they couldn't spare the manpower to carry them with them. The idea of their respected fallen being left behind chilled Uquin, but he was more nervous because many of the wounded weren't in a state to BE moved.

Especially not Nuawahn. He seemed to know Mella, and recognized her and his own name - that was good. But otherwise he was out of it - even sitting up seemed to be too much for him.

But they didn't have much choice. So carefully Uquin knelt back by Nuawahn, looking to Mella, "He's not going to be walking anywhere by himself." He turned his back to the wind earthling, gripping his good arm and reaching back to grab him by the upper leg, bodily lifting the other prentice until he was settled against his back, his head laying on his shoulder. Then Uquin stood, grateful that he was a bit taller than most prentices. It made this a little easier.
"Alright, Nuawahn, my name is Uquin - we're moving to a safer place for now. Just hold on to me, alright?"

Natsu post 14

Natsu sighed heavily at Antiope's words and nodded. Great, they weren't as safe as they thought they were, now they needed to move back! Where were they going to go? How would the runners know where they needed to go once they were gone? What if Rastian came back injured, or one of the others, and no one was around to help them in time? He tried his best to push the negative thoughts out of his mind and tugged Viveka towards the tents, motioning for Finnley to follow.

"We'd better hurry if we want to stay ahead of them, guys!" He exclaimed, grabbing satchels of medicine and food as we went through the tents. "Someone take this man! He's still well enough to be carried!"

Viveka post 14

Viveka followed Natsu willingly and reached a hand out to Finnley for comfort and support. This was getting worse by the minute and he wasn't exactly sure how to react. On one hand he was able to respond and retrieve what he was asked for, but on the other hand, he didn't know how much longer he could remain competent. He sighed and fought back the urge to grab onto Natsu and sob, opting to distract himself with the man that was laying in the tent.

"Finnley, will you help me carry him to the next destination?" He asked, offering her a weak smile.

Pahana post 13

Pahana seemed confused as the sprite pulled on her hand and moved to stand. She was a little wobbly, as if she were tired, but managed to keep her attention on Peyla as she moved forward. Why was the sprite so hectic? Was something wrong? Then, she noticed that everyone else around her was moving and packing things up, and her heartbeat increased. OH! They were leaving! The sprite was trying to tell her to get up so she wouldn't be left behind! The dancer smiled thankfully and patted her head.

"Thank you, I would have been left behind!" She chirped, shuffling awkwardly out of the tent. "Let's find your owner before you get lost, I'm sure they're worried about you."

Samoset post 14

It seemed as though they were all going to go sit inside the tents with the others for a while until, suddenly, everyone was rushing back and forth and packing things up. Samoset stood still, perplexed, and gazed towards Aysun and Chandra.

"...Why are we packing up?" He asked. "Is it all over...?"

Kennet post 14

Kennet kept his grip on Ikuri's hand, happy to be standing with someone he knew, and watched everyone rushing around them. It did seem weird that they would be packing up when all the fighters weren't back yet... They couldn't leave without them, they wouldn't... Right?

"Mmm..." He mumbled, shuffling his feet. "What do we do?"

Takoda Post 7

As he was being healed his breathing became more steady but he didn't wake. Not just yet. His body stirred as strength was regained and a small moan escaped his lips. But his eyes didn't open right away, almost as if his body didn't want to relive the horrors of the battlefield. Still he could only resist for so long and eventually his eyes blinked open in a sluggish manner. A confused look was on his face, he had expected the ceiling of his home, or the branches of the tree's of Jahaur. Instead he saw a young man with blue skin, an a woman who was scowling at him.

Where was he? Why did his body just ache with pain? It came back to him in a rush and he felt his eyes go wide. Jacinthus! Where was he?! Moving to sit up he felt himself groan, he looked to the two beside him and then around. He ...was...at the healers tents ...wasn't he?

"Wh..where am I?" He inquired after a moment, after all he wasn't entirely sure where he was, more and more he knew ..just knew that he was in the healing tents. He felt...foolish to ask even as another injured man from the battle field was brought to them. Clutching at his shirt he noted that his bag was missing, and it took him a moment to realize that the woman had it. Though he still felt weak he moved so that Ruelash's body could be lowered in front of Makani. Though still light headed the rather beaten body of the ice man brought him into some form of focus.

"M..my book please." He murmured to the woman, before looking as if he was going to get ready to help Makani heal.

"I will help...best I can. " Takoda continued, always putting others ahead of himself.

Sin'qua Post 8

More. There were always more bloody and broken bodies coming in. It was causing her to fray around the edges of her cold demeanor, though it was something to say that the shifter they were healing awoke and looked rightfully confused. Sighing she didn't say anything to him, what was there to say? Though she was surprised that he merely asked for his book to which she handed him his entire satchel. They were his belongings after all.

When the next man was presented to them she gave a raised eyebrow, was...he familiar? Had she ever seen him before? Though his blue skin indicated that he was of the same tribe she couldn't place him. Perhaps she was just trying to put a name to a face...to the countless faces they had seen this day.

When the shifter spoke about helping heal she felt some measure of relief. At least he knew how to heal, all she could do was be Makani's eyes.

"This one doesn't look like he is holding up very well Makani.." She murmured as Ruelash was positioned in front of them.

Borra Post 8

To feel an arm wrap around him and have his eyes suddenly covered surprised him. Though being told to breath....he found...relaxing. The feeling of sickness faded slowly and he reached up to keep Gyuri's hand in place until he was ready to lower it slowly. Looking up to the taller man he gave him a lopsided grin.

"Sorry..guess I am just not use to all this sight of blood..." The minstrel replied, and he was surprised to see the person Makani was treating was awake and moving. Though..his body was soon instantly replaced by a new one and ....Borra couldn't help but bring Gyuri's hand back up to cover his eyes. "Can...I borrow you until the feeling passes again?"

Makani Post 9

Makani gave a pause when he felt the one he was working on stir. He lifted his hands and drew them back, giving a smile when the man actually spoke, "Ahhh, good... I'm so glad to hear your voice." This man, despite his injuries, seemed to be quite strong. The fact that he was actually able to speak so soon after returning to the camp was a good sign. He gave a bit of a smile, "You are back in camp, you were brought back not that long ago. You should try to... eh? Your book?" He wanted to help?

He was quiet for a long moment, looking thoughtful, before he nodded, "Alright... we could use your help, so many injured are coming in, but if you start to get tired then you should get some rest." He knew that he couldn't refuse help, not with so many wounded around them and more of them coming in with each passing moment. All help was required if they were going to save lives, right? That meant even allowing this man, injured and weak as he was, to help out if that meant saving more lives. He could only hope that the others around him would approve of his decision, "My name is Makani and this is Sin'qua." He said, motioning to the woman who was aiding him in this uphill battle.

Before anymore friendly chatter could go on though another was brought to him, one that Sin'qua felt didn't look like he was holding up very well. That wasn't good he found himself thinking, lifting his hands to hover over the man, moving them from side to side, getting a feel for his injuries by reading his energy. It was in a way impressive, that the man felt intimidating even though he was unconscious at the moment. He had a strong energy too him, one that he felt would better serve their people if it was focused toward the enemy. Best that they try to get this man back on his feet he decided before he set to casting his magic upon him, pouring his powers into the healing spell. It was exhausting healing people one after the other, but if this was all that he could do then he would continue to heal people until he was tapped out.. and even then he would do what he could to help.

Of course just as he was getting the healing underway his sister returned, telling them that it was time to start packing things up, that the camp was going to be moved. It was a shocking sort of announcement to be sure... and one he couldn't quite obey at the moment, "You all can begin preparations to leave but I can't move until I get this man back on his feet. I feel we will need him." He couldn't just abandoned a patient, not one who held much potential if the feel of his energy were to be believed. He could tell his sister wasn't pleased without even having to look at her but his mind was made up. He'd move once he was sure this one would be alright.

Eira Post 9

There was a long moment where Eira starred at her brother, debating on how well she might be able to do against him, or if she would need to call in Gyuri. Best that she didn't go to the extremes yet though, not when Makani was trying to save a member of the Ice Tribe. Not to mention that Gyuri seemed as though he were doing his best to blindfold Borra with his hand for... something reason... she would ask about that later. For now she supposed that they should get what they could packed up and quickly. They didn't want to be left behind when the others in the camp started to move after all. Instead she wanted to make sure that they had all of the supplies that they could possibly carry.

"Make it quick, Makani, we need to get going." She finally said before she moved, grabbing up what she could that was on hand, stuffing it all into their packs. After a moment of thought she then turned to where Makani's pet was. The Raptrix had been laying nearby, not really doing much other then keeping an eye on Makani this whole time. At least now she could be of use Eira decided, walking over to her, and set to loading her up with some packs. The look on Rae's face was a miffed one but there was no protest from her other then a twitching ear. Eira wasn't even having that though, "We need to get moving, pup, so deal with it."

With that she was turning back to the others, calling out, "Is he ready to be moved yet? We have to get going!" She then turned to give Takoda a look, "And you... think you can walk? Or do you need help?" She wondered if she should ask the same of Borra but even if he proved he couldn't walk she was sure that Gyuri would take care of him.

Gyuri Post 9

As per the normal for him Gyuri remained quiet and composed as Borra clung to his hand, seemingly to keep it in place, to protect and shield himself from the scene before them. He didn't mind, if it meant helping Borra then he would stand like this for as long as he needed to do so. At least that was hs plan until he heard Eira telling them what was going on. The idea that they would actually have to move... that wasn't something he was expecting. To think that they had set this place up only to have to fall back already. What of the wounded? What of the dead? There were those that were still in need of healing and those that were in need of burying, how could they just leave them behind? It was a tough call to make but at the same time they had to protect those who were still alive. If they could at least get the wounded moved that would be something, right?

When Eira and Makani seemed to disagree on what they should be doing right now, with Eira saying it was time to go and Makani refusing due to his patient, he finally said, "If needs be I will carry him." Probably the most he'd said in a while but he felt that he should intervene before the two started to argue. There was already enough fighting going on after all. Looking down at Borra he found himself worrying a little. He was still hiding behind his hand after all... and that wouldn't be able to stand for much longer, not when they needed to retreat.

He debated on it a moment then lifted his other hand to rest on Borra's shoulder, giving it a squeeze, then said, "We need to pack and move." As much as he wanted to stand here as long as Borra needed he knew that he had to get his group, as well as their two patients, moving and away from the battle that must be moving their way if they needed to retreat. Not a good sign for their side, huh? Something he couldn't think about right now since he had to focus on those who were on hand and in need of his aid. He'd carry both patients if that became necessary he told himself quietly, ready to do just that if he had to.

Aysun Post 12

When the call for retreat was sounded Zahra couldn't help but to stand there in momentary show. That was... faster then anyone could have expected she thought to herself before she looked around her. She had one grandson clinging to her leg in tears, the other one hovering over him, two little boys and a girl who weren't hers but were still in need of protection, as well as her other children of various ages who had been helping out with the healing efforts. She drew in a deep breath, let it out slowly, then said, "Alright, it seems as though it's time for us to get moving. Reva, Vera, Luis I want the three of you to grab as many of the packs as you can, we will need all of the supplies that we can carry with us."

She then looked down at the little ones. It was her desire to scoop them all up, hold them close, and run with them... but she didn't have nearly enough arms, did she? She doubted she could run a long distance even carrying one of them. She looked around for a moment, watching the chaos around them as everyone tried to grab up what they could, before she looked back at them, "It's time for us to go, little ones. I know that this is going to sound scary and that some of you are going to be leaving behind those that you know, but I want you three to stay with us, alright?" Samoset, Kennet, and Ikuri, she needed to keep them safe until she could get them back to their respective parents she thought to herself.

When one of her oldest daughters called out that they had all they could carry she nodded, "Alright, everyone hold hands, let's get moving. Hopefully the next camp isn't too far off." She wouldn't be able to move very fast with such a brood of Younglings but she wouldn't leave them behind no matter who slow they might have to travel.

Aysun looked up at his Gram, around at the others his age, then nodded. As much as the two bug eyed boys had bugged him to start with he no longer cared. The fact that they had to retreat meant something scary must be happening! The best they could do at the moment was to listen to their gram, to hold onto each other tight, just as they had done earlier, and hurry to... well, wherever it was they were going. He grabbed hold of Chandra's hand, telling him, "Brother, get Ikuri's hand." Before he turned to grab hold of Sammoset's hand, feeling he was a little easier to deal with, "Get your brother's hand." He told him. If all went well then Gram could then take either Ikuri or Kennet's hand, depending on who wanted to take the Shifter woman's hand.

Once they had all taken hands they would get moving... and already Aysun was praying to any spirit or God that might hear him that his parents would be following along after them sooner then later. He was scared now... but he couldn't show it, not in front of Chandra... or anyone else in the group. Later, when they were safe, that was when he would probably break down. Until they he would be strong!

The group of healers and injured were just beginning to pull the bodies and supplies further back when there was shouting from behind. The rest of the Tendaji soldiers returned from battles, their shouts a garbled mix of words to each other and to the camp.

Antiope raced to Vescillea's side, expressive dialogue moving between the two, their hands moving with every word they spoke. The look on Antiope's face said it wasn't good news. Antiope, Vescillea, and the rest of the elders left from battle ran forward warning all with their shouting. "Alright! Don't panic, but the battle is over. Everyone needs to be moved into the closest Jauhar village. Everyone move towards Neued. We will be safe there." Antiope shouted out. Enki, knowing that there would be plenty of worried and angry faces and questions pushed them further along. "We will debrief when we're on safe ground." He said firmly.

Before too long, the entire camp had receded back to Neued and the village was crowded with people and injured. Once things were steadier and the injured tended to, the elders of the village convened to answer questions and explain the situation. "It was too much for us. There were too many soldiers after they had worn us down with beasts we had never seen before." Enlil spoke up. "We are retreating until we can gather and regroup. The war is not over."

Aminah (Post 11)

Aminah staggered backward as the Oban forces pushed through and captured so many of those around her. She felt the panic clench her heart and when she heard the order to retreat she gave Jerarda another long look before running for the camp. She launched a few blind spells behind her, hoping to strike anything Oba related as she retreated. On her way she nearly tripped over a girl on the ground. It was the same girl that she had wished luck to earlier. Did she even remember her name? Did she get her name? Without thinking, she leaned over and tried to support as much of the girl's weight as she could, half dragging her before she saw the camp ahead of her.

Rushing to her sister's side with her rescue still in tow, she grabbed a hold of her sister's hand and tried to pull her along. "Come on Sathe!" She called to her sister, hoping that Jerarda had followed behind, though she knew that hoping for her friend to still be with her was foolish. Jerarda had to have her own people she cared for in the camp.

Sathe (Post 17)

Sathe felt the weight of the supplies on her shoulders and was about to move out when someone grabbed her by the hand. It was Aminah! She was too unbelievably happy to have any words for her. She just stood there with her mouth opening and closing like a fish before she was jerked forward by her sister. She was right. Moving. It had to be done. They had to get out. From what she could hear from the elders, they were moving to Neued. It wasn't that far away, but with the injured it would feel like forever. And it seemed that Aminah had an injured of her own to take care of. Sathe wanted to help lift the weight from her sister, but with the supplies she was carrying it was all but impossible to help.

Sathe gave her sister's hand a squeeze and followed behind her, looking over her shoulder for some sign of Gaddok. She hoped he was just as alright as her sister was. She thought of his parting kiss and blushed despite of all of the things going on right now. He had to make it.

akuma_kessaku
Gaddok can find Sathe when they get to Neued maybe?

Finnley:
Everything seemed to happen so fast, at first it was just a call to start moving the camp back, just to be safe. And then more and more people started flowing into the camp, injured, and some close to death. Finn couldn't help but stand there and gape until Viveka thankfully brought her out of it. She took his hand first, while they were receiving directions to fall back even further. They had to help carry people! Natsu, bless him, was taking control so well, Finn had a feeling that things would be going so much worse if Natsu hadn't taken control of their situation. She was grateful for that, and had no problem doing as he said. Helping Viveka, she went to the other side of the injured man, shouldering as much of his weight as she could. "We lost the battle didn't we?" Finnley asked to no one in particular as she just kept moving.

Kelina:

Flashes of consciousness flooded to Kelina, she was...walking? Being carried? Something, but she was moving. To where she did not know, she could only hope she was with her own people. Then, everything seemed to fade away again before she finally came to full consciousness. Kel was laying on a make shift bed, her eyes darted about trying to get her bearings before moving, in case she was in the presence of the enemy. But it was the Jauharan forest above her head, Kel exhaled thanking the Goddess Serin. She heard someone speaking over everyone else, and she was just barely able to hear. "Too many soldiers...retreating....not over..." So they had lost, Kelina concluded, her spirits dropping. Oh no! Lasarra and Sauron! Had Nibby gotten to them? She tried to push herself up with her right hand but it hurt too much to even move. She tried to figure out how badly she was hurt, her right arm, her head, her abdomen...her left leg but not as much. Kel's panic increased as she worried about the only two who mattered to her.
