The waves crashed softly along the sandy shore as the purring of the two sleeping cats lulled in between the silence. He was still awake, as a breeze tickled the tattered scarf around his neck the pendant still hanging like cold ice around his neck. The blue eyes watched the stars as they danced along the blackness of the night. He had heard that one some nights that he could wish, wish upon a star for a gift and it would come true. For most of his life he lived along the beach, the salty waves and grainy sand were his life. He had never left but he had met her once. She had floated along the breeze and landed on his shore. Her two birds tweeted as they eyed his cats suspiciously in fear of being a little tasty snack. Vski that was what she had called herself and for a few days he found something a little more worthwhile then just the beach.
Then one day, one morning he had left to find a set of shells, pink ones the perfect color to match her purple curls. He wanted to give them as a gift but she was gone. He was sure by now she had found someone else, had her own children and was quite happy with her life but he still looked every once in a while for her to float out of the sky again.
Looking at the stars again he smiled, “If it’s, real I mean,” he replied chuckling, “if you really work star I give you this necklace a gift for the mare I love. I don’t ask for her back no… that would be cruel to her,” he replied looking down at the damp sand as the bubbles tried to float back into the sea. “No I wish for a child a child of my own and of hers to love and to care for. It sounds silly I know… but I have very little in family and no other love in my life. I always wanted a kid.” Another chuckle escaped as he looked at the two cats on his back, “I mean I have these two and I know they worry about me I think a child would do us all good and if it was anything like her it would be the sweetest child a father could ever raise. But.. yea maybe it’s just a stupid wish to make, but… thank you either way.”

Glowing red eyes peered up at the brightly shining star that the stallion had heard so many whispers about. Others spoke about family members and loved ones showing up or foals appearing between couples that had simply wished for such things. Kerberos never believed the rumors, but recently he had become more curious. Perhaps this thing could work... The black and star covered stallion sat in silence for an awkward moment before deciding to speak. "Well, star...thing... I have heard many rumors of you. How you could grant wishes and things." His mind wandered to the white and bloody mare that had grown on him. "Morana. She was a thorn in my side when we first met, but her beauty has drawn me to her. My lovely rose... Morana." He growled at himself for saying such things aloud about the mare. How foolish he seemed!
As he pinned his ears back against his head, he stamped a hoof and shook his head. What was he thinking? Morana would never want to have his foals... he was too weak. She was too strong. Curiosity had continued to annoy him, though. He wanted to know more about this mare. He wanted to know more about this ridiculous sounding star. With a soft grunt, the stallion looked at the star once more. "I ask for one thing... a foal that can help me grow closer to the rose that I hold close to my heart but refuses to show me love."
Additional information:
Morana was conceived because her father was curious about what would happen if a kalona mated with a unicorn. He believed that he could create a powerful creature that would be a great asset to the kalona herd that he was a high rank in. With this wishing star Kerberos, the father, is curious about what will happen with this wishing star and if it can bring him closer to Morana. Sort of bringing everything full circle.

A piece of ribbon from Jasmine's bows and Dir's blindfold, tied together in a bow. Short IC Response: The couple stood cheerfully under the darkening sky, watching as the stars began to awaken. One in particular held the stallions attention and a soft smile formed along his lips. "We've been blessed with many lovely things, but would it not hurt to perhaps have a few more?" His words, teasing in nature as they were, held a bit of hope as he spoke not only to the Wishing Star that gleamed so bright, but his mate beside him. She smiled shyly, following his gaze and nodding. "If the Star wishes to give us another gift, I would be more then grateful!" A nuzzle from the stallion showed his affection and the two remained standing as they were for a while longer, basking in the warmth of hope the Wishing Star brought.
I hope it is alright if I kept things a little more vague in the response, since neither Soquili are actually mine and DD and IB have been more than kind enough in allowing me to try for a mockbreeding!

If felt like not so long ago that Ellial had been here- or in a similar place, he really couldn't remember- making a wish for a child comprised of himself and his mate, and the next day his wish granted in the form of their daughter Embrace. But time was deceptive, and much had passed. He wasn't just a grandfather now, but a great grandfather! His son Enitan had created quite a family with his mate Hania, and it seemed like every day it was growing even more. At times, Ellial couldn't help but feel envious of his son's fortune.
Bowing his head, as if in prayer, the tiny stallion released a quiet sigh before making his wish, "I wish...I wish for another child for Zaitus and I to love and raise. I know that it may seem selfish, having already had this same wish granted, but is it wrong to want such a thing?"
