"Oh yes, me, myself and my two blades," she purred. "Tell me, how does she beat them up? I find the art of fighting with herbivores slightly perplexes and in the name of professional curiousity I would like to know more." She took a cloth out and stroked it along the blade, removing her fingerprints yet again. Borrowed blades they may be but soon she would have her own. What an exstacy that would be. "What is your weapon of choice? I can tell you can handle yourself in battle. More experience in live fights then me I'm sure." She said, hoping she was right. "I want to prove myself to my parents and in a way also to myself as well. Training is one thing, practice another but live fights....that is where the real action is."

"Dyakida, this is Tahigwa. She is my best friend, or was until she left me without even saying good bye." she said to Dyakida, her eyes narrowed at Tahigwa. "If you don't mind I would like to go talk to her, I will come back when I'm done." she said to Dyakida as she touched Dyakida's elbow before walking out of the tent, not even bothering to check if Tahigwa was following her.

"Tahigwa do you know how worried I was? I thought you were kidnapped, dead, I didn't know what happened. You were here one day and than when I went to see you at your house you were gone. You are my best friend Tahigwa, best friends don't just leave each other like that...." although she felt for Tahigwa more than just best friends, which she had figured out on her journey through Tale and Sauti, she hadn't had the chance to tell Tahigwa. "And of course I'll fight besides you... Now that you're back I can't let anything happen to you."

Bhima entered the tent just as a strangely-colored sister exited. Well, that wasn't something you saw every day, was it? The pale sister kept her eye until she was well beyond and out of range, and she pushed open the tent flap to try and find Dyakida who... seemed to be alone? She immediately searched the space for Peyla, but didn't hear any shrieking.

"Dyakida. It's Bhima. You were looking for me?" She didn't imagine that the blind sister was going to fight, but she was a weapon-maker of some skill, wasn't she? Perhaps she knew healing as well.

"You heard the announcement, I'm sure."

Yaholo post 3, heading over to Ruelash from Hijil and Rastian

Yaholo listened to the elders speak, nodding solemnly along with their words, and turned to face Hijil soon after.

"I feel ready, actually. I've been on edge for weeks, just thinking about it." He replied, before turning his head towards the beast pens. He knew that voice... Was he really starting things with a member of their own team now? A low growl rolled out of his mouth before he stood and made his way over to Ruelash and the pair he was talking to.

"Hey, I hope we're not starting any battles before we go out there, you brat." He grumbled, nudging the ice tribesman on the arm. "Save your energy for the real enemy."

Rastian post 3, with Hijil.

Rastian didn't bother to raise his head from his book as the elder's spoke, and simply nodded his head every so often. Yeah, maybe he'd go speak with Enlil, just to make sure they were on good terms before everything went to hell out on the battlefield. He sighed when Yaholo left to reprimand Ruelash and gave a smile to Hijil.

"Eh, I've just gotten out of a terrible illness myself, and I'm just trying to give back to those who've saved me, really." He said, his gaze turning to where Natsu and Viveka sat. "And, I'm fighting for my brothers, they deserve so much... I couldn't bear to see their dreams go up in smoke because some king wants to take our land."

Chandra Post 3

He didn't break his glare on the two strange boys although it was more focused on Kennet. Especially when he shouted at him and called his white hair weird. With the one boy 'challenging' him of sorts he felt the hairs on the back of his neck bristle. True he was somewhat hiding behind his brother at this point, although it was Aysun who had placed himself in that position.

Chandra...never made friends easily. In fact besides his brother he hadn't made any friends the same age as themselves. Although there had been that one girl...but did Sathe count? Nevertheless he was about to take a step forward, anger rising up in a seething manner. But his brother had already taken the lead, puffing himself up and trying to mimic their mama.

Though he had been listening vaguely to the conversation Aysun was having before Kennet had decided on name calling being the appropriate way to handle his glaring he could care less. Why did no one seem to understand that they may not see their family members ever again? How could anyone be so...

His thoughts were interrupted as two girls joined them. They too had white hair though his glare only flickered to their faces before he looked back to the two boys. As if finally deciding that neither groups were worth talking to he just sighed in annoyance. About to speak his mind about how stupid they all were (himself included) he went silent before the words even came out. A woman was speaking. Something deep in his stomach clenched and tightened. It was as if her speaking meant that the end was near. Mama and Papa would be fighting soon, so would Uncle Tak and Jac...

His body quivered, even if they were with Grandma he felt like the only person he could rely on was his brother...but he didn't want to see him hurt either. Were they really so weak? Well they were children...children couldn't help in grown up matters like this...

"We should..move...and stay out of the way.." He murmured to Aysun, glancing to the four other kids before shaking his head slightly as if what he was about to suggest tasted bad in his mouth. "They should come too..."

Gerraden Post 3

Gerraden had been laughing, there was something nice about the small gathering of people. His adoptive brother, his soul mate Rishima and...that rather tall alkidike warrior woman coming up to...wait WHAT? His eyes went huge as the female scooped Rishima up like he was nothing. Jaw dropping even more so when he saw how ..familiar they were with each other. Jealous he couldn't help but fume a moment until yet another alkidike woman stepped into the scene and broke the moment of tension.

Straightening up, he felt the desire to challenge the woman to a fight right here and now to declare his love for Rishima, but now was a terrible time for that wasn't it? After all Rishima had said that Jerarda was a 'sister' nothing more. Looking over at Ray at his question about being a sister he laughed full kindheartedly, after all it wasn't like Gerraden to stay angry for long.

"Maybe we are all sisters in the end." Giving another look to the new women he nodded his head slightly. Though when the speaking began and everyone's attention was diverted he couldn't help himself and sneak closer to Rishima, though this meant getting closer to the other women. His happy face soon growing grim as it looked as if it was soon time for war to begin.

"Well...I don't know about you all, but I think we have a pretty good group going here. I say we protect each others backs. Brothers and sisters stick together right?" He announced the idea to the three, even though he didn't know Vollerie (or Jerarda for that matter), the older alkidike woman seemed to so they should include her.

Jerarda Post 3

It was wonderful to hold Rishima again, she had been awfully worried about him though it looked as if he had his own littler entourage now. Rishima as well was not the 'little timid sister' she had dragged across the world with. He had grown and part of her was a bit sad about that. Even as he gave her a hug , she noted on how the other strange looking hybrid was looking at her she gave a small grin and being the type of woman she was continued to have one arm wrapped around Rishima as if laying claim to him.

Looking over her shoulder as Vollerie joined them she gave a smirk and then went to ruffle Rashima's hair. "When I first met Rishima I called him sister, and I shall continue to refer to him as that." She commented with a nod of her head. Looking to the shifter who seemed to be 'buddies' with the other half breed alkidike she wondered what exactly their relationship was. Everyone seemed to be friendly with each other...

Then Freya spoke. Jerarda went silent and she pondered a moment to split off and see if she could find the leaders. At least find their own leader Yansa, and try and convince them that perhaps fighting wasn't the best way to deal with this. Sure it was causing the clans to gather against a common foe...but...surely even the people of Oba...deserved to know of the great evil.

A deep breath she didn't realize she as holding in was released her gaze looking over the three males and then to vollerie. Could she just leave them though? Or should she fight with them? Rolling a shoulder she sighed and used a free hand to rub a temple.

"We are..fighting the wrong enemy..." she muttered to herself mostly though with Rishima still in her grip he probably could hear her as well.

Samoset post 3

Samoset smiled at Aysun as he explained his mixed breed heritage. He was half-leaf, too? They had something in common! But, when both his brother and Aysun began shouting at each other, he took a few steps backwards allowing his brother to stand on his own.

"Eeeeeeeh, guys! Stop it!" He shrieked, before tugging Kennet away. "No punches, from either of you! Our parents are the ones fighting, not us!"

Then, as if they had been angels sent down from above, Ikuri and Ikkio came into his view. Oh, thank goodness, someone he knew! Maybe she could help him stop his brother from being so rude?

"Ikuri, Ikuri! I'm so glad to see you!" He exclaimed, hopping straight in front of her. "How are you?"

Kennet post 3

Kennet's posture went from limp to stiff as Aysun approached him. Oh, he was going to punch him, was he? Ha! He couldn't wait to see him try! He was all ready to lunge forward and attack the other boy when his brother dragged him backwards, a snarl bursting from his lips. Still, his brother's words made some sense, and he stared off to the side. Yeah, they weren't the ones here to fight, were they? He huffed, gave a side glare to Aysun, and folded his arms.

"Whatever." He scoffed, kicking a small stone across the ground. "I do like fighting, espescially with those I know I can beat." He smirked towards the pair, and stretched. "But, my brother's always right, we're not the fighters here."

He stuck his tongue out as a final gesture and followed his brother to the pair of girls, until he was stopped short when the elders began to speak.
"... So, our dad is going out there to DIE?" He growled, clenching his fists. "THIS IS SO STUPID!"

"It's... all right," Alek replied, though the words seemed horribly inadequate as he said them. "Really, it is." He knew he could have just as easily ventured to visit her, but instead he had remained locked away. It might have been too late to change any of that, but that didn't mean he didn't regret it. He could at least mark this occasion as a new beginning, no matter how depressing their reason for being here was. If nothing else, he finally had an excuse to meet Zuri's husband in person. Alek gave the sage another more calculating glance now that he knew who he was looking at.

"Biroki?" he asked with a curious smile. "Yes, I guess I will be in good hands then." Alek found himself trusting his... brother-in-law, he supposed, simply because Zuri did. He watched the shifter interact with the others for a moment longer, glad that his eyes weren't on Zuri when she mentioned Kayin.

"No, she isn't. Here. At all," he said, each word he uttered growing softer until his voice was almost silent. He debated lying outright, trying to cover up what he had just vaguely admitted, but he just couldn't do it. "I left without telling her." At least he had the grace to look ashamed.

Natsu post 3

Natsu nodded as Finnley spoke and placed his hand gently upon her shoulder. Poor girl was just as nervous as his Viveka was, he couldn't help but want to comfort her. Admittedly, he was just as nervous, for Rastian and Yaholo, as well as his nephew who was damn certain that he was ready to fight among the adults like he'd always wanted to. But, if his music could lull the masses into a calm, he would do his best to remain as content as possible.

"Well, I'm glad you decided to come help, despite your fears." He said, giving her a pat. "We need all the help we can get."

Viveka post 3

Viveka smiled as his hand was shook and moved to lean against Natsu again. However, before he could really get comfortable again, the elder's spoke, and his nerves started up again. This was going to be terrible! They were all in real, serious danger, and they could die at any moment! He curled up against Natsu, shook, and gave Finnley an apologetic look.

"I hope so, too! I don't want to lose my brother out there!" He exclaimed. "I've already lost my mother, I don't want to lose another family member!"

Ogbonna post 3

Oggie snuggled up to his old friend and giggled as he spoke. It had been so long since he'd seen Nua, how could he have forgotten someone so special? He admired the way he bounced about, carefree, and how half of his hair was braided. Maybe he'd do his hair like that? Assuming Nua had braided it himself, anyway.

"I've been busy training to be a Guard!" He exclaimed, brandishing his gauntlets. "But, I've also been traveling, even to Jauhar, like you!" He laughed. "Maybe we passed each other and didn't notice!"

Then, the elders began to speak, his demeanor changing to that of seriousness. They were coming, the forces from Oba, and they would be here soon... He took a deep breath and took Nua's hand.
"Yeah, it brings people together, alright." He sighed. "Let's stick together, okay, Nua? We can battle together, how about that?"

Confession time, maybe? It seems appropriate. XD;

Tahigwa post 3

Tahigwa dutifully followed Ilyra out of the tent and gazed sheepishly down at the ground as she was reprimanded for running away. She blushed, out of embarrassment, and fiddled with her hair. Wow, 'Lyra was really pissed off with her, wasn't she? The dark haired girl straightened her pose and gave Ilyra an apologetic look, before throwing her arms around her.

"I'm sorry, Lyra! I really am, okay?" She cried, nuzzling her friend's shoulder. "I didn't think of you, or anyone, and I know that I was wrong to leave home like that now. I won't do it ever again!"

She pulled away as the elders called for their attention, and she found herself feeling as nervous as Pahana had been just minutes before. Suddenly, the finality of all of this was shoving it's way through her defenses, and she couldn't help but look to her best friend with fear in her eyes.

"Ly-Ly... Before we go out there and kick butt..." She began, rubbing the back of her head nervously. "I want you to know something... Just in case we don't make this..." She paused, turning her gaze to her feet, her blush only increasing. "... Promise me you won't think of me any differently after I tell you this?"

Takoda Post 2

The monk drew blood as he chewed on his lower lip, a startling reminder of what they were about to face. Touching his lips briefly with his fingers as if to make sure that the wound was slight his fingers came away with a bit of blood and he stared at it a moment before wiping it off on his pants. Seeing the bright red against his skin was just a reminder of what was worse to come. Being wrapped in Jacinthus's arms was a little bit of comfort, but he worried that Jacinthus would be worrying about him during the battle to come...and he didn't want to be a worry or distraction to the archer.

Listening as a woman's voice addressed the people he felt himself....suddenly grow calm. To say that Takoda wasn't worried would be a lie, but he was a healer. People's lives would depend on him and he would make sure that he was able to handle the situation. Even if it meant locking away his fears just for the time being.

"Jacinthus...promise me..that you won't do anything stupid...I don't want you trying to play hero...I just ..want you to survive okay?" He whispered to his mate, for his worst fear was that Jacinthus would try and 'save' him....when there could possibly be no way for Takoda to survive..he just didn't want Jacinthus to die for nothing.

If he had to separate from the group..and join the others healers it was his obligation to do so...and perhaps it would be for the best as much as he hated to admit it.

Keilana Post 2

The mother of twins couldn't help but be tense, and when Chalcedony was trying to give her comfort it only seemed to make her more angry. She didn't care about this war, sure she didn't want to be invaded by these people, but she wanted to go and protect her boys. Common sense dictated that by fighting in the war she was protecting not just her boys but a larger sum of people...but she couldn't help but feel that her personal wants were more important.

"I know I know...I know they are safe..I just...wish I could be there to protect them...I don't like how this war is coming about..." The leaf tribe woman trailed off as the sound of Freya boomed through the area. It was time was it? About time. Keilana was impatient and wanted to get the fighting over with. Looking to Chalcedony she gave him a hard look before she leaned over to him.

"Promise me...if I fall in battle...run and save the boys. I don't want them to grow up without both their parents...."

Borra Post 2

Smiling just the same Borra was in agreement with Eira's thought process. Perhaps he didn't quite have the same methods of cheering people up, but the war was already depressing enough right? To keep morale high was the best thing to do right now. Eira's flirting didn't bother him. For whatever reason it just made him smile and laugh, he even went so far as to lightly lean up against Gyuri as he watched Eira make the guards trip over themselves.

"Maybe she'd make the better weapon. All the warriors would be too distracted by her to fight." He commented with a chuckle. "The war would be over before it ever began." Borra's laughter however quickly faded away as he turned his head to listen in. Freya was speaking...and it sounded important.

Sin'qua Post 2

Almost gagging at how Eira would flirt with every man who crossed their path the only thing that made her visibly more upset was the new nickname Eira had just laid on her. Sinny? No...way in hell was she going to let that fly. She would murder the girl before she would let that nickname catch on. Though before she could really act on her own desires Makani leaned in and whispered to her. So he had heard her remark, well at least he hadn't seemed offended by her. Odd. Usually people were.

At his comment about keeping an eye on them she glanced at him before looking away. "I am here to make sure my brother comes back alive. Its the only reason I joined this...'troupe'. I know your sister doesn't care for me...and the feeling is mutual. But why are you here Makani?" She asked in a quiet manner, as she wanted to have a private conversation with the most sane person of this group.

Looking up as a female voice boomed across the area, announcing that the way was to be underway soon she felt her skin grow cold. Things were going to get very serious quickly.

[Ruelash -> Chimelu, Iroia, Yaholo -> Beast pen]

Ruelash didn't mind talking about how tough and cool his familiar of choice was. He grinned. "Well first off, Y'see her teeth? They ain't made for rippin', but they can still hurt an' hold back things. They don't break like some raptrix teeth, so she kin keep usin' em. She bites right, she can crush somethin'." He patted Direk's head, "An she kin headbutt nicely, an if ye git one o' her horns in ya, yer gonna be in pretty bad shape!" he said, almost gleefully. "And 'ysee those hooves of hers? They's HARD an we keep em sharp. She's built t' run, but that means she's got a kick on 'er." he gave Direk a treat for being so patient (though honestly he secretly loved spoiling the Aldabuk) "Yep, it's tricky to train 'em, cause ye have to go against some o' their instincts, but they can be fierce. And sure, she's got no claws, but I wanna do the slashing m'self anyway. With m' two blades" he grinned viciously. "Wanna spar?" he asked Iroia, placing a hand on his blades. Only Direk and the prospect of a good fight could bring out his nonexistent talkative side, and he was so pumped up for the war, that he was itchin for a fight to take his mind off of the waiting, since he no longer had to outfit his beast.

His expression morphed from friendly hostility to more unfriendly hostility as Yaholo approached. "F*** you" he snarled at the hybrid, "It ain't none o' yer business!" he said. Just what he needed. THIS guy.

Direk bristled at the leaf hybrid herself. She didn't have much of a memory, but she remembered a few things. Lasarra was one of them (had she caught her scent in the breeze?), and her oaf was another. And this horrible creature wasn't as well remembered as them, but she did know him. And she still didn't like him OR his straps.

At this point, Ruelash had forgotten about Chimelu or any other reason that Yaholo might have to pick a fight with him.

[Not Counted][Nuawahn-> Ogbonna -> By some Rocks]

"Oooo nooo, we must have passed each other! It would have been awesome if we'd met in the middle!" said Nuawahn, dissappointment, "But..." he said, bouncing back, "We found each other now, right? We can catch up and have more fun and..." He trailed off as Ogbonna took his hand.

Oggies hands were rough and calloused, like La'amu's feet, in contrast to Nauwahn's hands which, though they were well used and had some protective skin, were very soft. Why was Oggie so serious? Why was Oggie so worried? Nua though he almost understood why, like it was right at the edge of his brain, but like with the memories in the block of fog between his childhood in Sauti and his childhood in Jahuar, he felt blocked. Something was blocking him from understanding.

He decided not to worry about it. His face lit up with a glowing smile as he playfully covered oggie's hand with his other hand. "Sure!" he said, "Lets stick together!"

[Hijil -> Rastian -> Somewhere]

Hijil frowned (invisible beneath the handkerchief) as Yaholo went off to reprimand a very familiar person. So. That Ice tribe man was here too. He was trouble, but this was War. They needed trouble on their side. As long as he attacked the enemies, he was still useful.

"So. A healer then." she said, nodding once in acknowledgement, "I can understand fighting for the sake of family..." or extended family. She honestly would have fought to protect her mother, though. Blood kin and issues aside, her mother had been dear to her. But her mother wasn't here. Her lover, however, definitely was, Hijil knew it in her bones. Hijil thought that maybe she was fighting for her sisters, then.

But that wasn't exactly it.

"I can understand it, but that isn't why I'm fighting." she said quietly, thoughtfully, almost to herself, "I'm not sure what my reason is... But I will fight."
