Zakiax the seadra puffed back at the flying dragon. there was a bit of hesitation before the seadra spoke again. Zak was still eying the Dragonite. "She is quite beautiful," he mused softly. "Captain, do you think Flora would be able to help pull the sleigh, she may not look it but she is quite strong. If she froze the snow under the sleigh as we went there would be less friction and thus less stress on the remainning pokemon."Pearl nodded. " " The Dragonite gave a small smile. "" Pearl sighed.
Not catching the trainer's other comment on Pearl, he replied. "That would be wonderful, definitely helpful! She'll have to stay closest to the sleigh though, since there are many ground-walking pokemon that will also help, and I don't think they'll do so well running on ice. We'll get her strapped in then though, and leave shortly!"

Ch. 3 Winter Safari
Once the largest pokemon of the group are in gear at the front of the sleigh, and Pearl the Dragonite has had all the refreshment she needs, the Captain hurries the rest of the group into the sleigh. “Watch your steps getting on! Don’t want any injuries…or scratched paint, need to return this in one perfect piece...” He mumbles the last bit. He seems like an ok guy, but a little scattered. “Now then! We’ll be to our destination in less than an hour. Along the way we may see some pokemon, so have your pokeballs ready! Think of this as a little winter Safari Zone! Hyah!” The Captain explained to the group, and with his last call, the pokemon in front of the sleigh pulled it forward. The Captain takes his seat, high on the front of the sleigh. “Mush!” The pokemon might not be happy with this man piloting their sleigh, but they complied and pulled the sleigh forward, Pearl in the front, and a Seadra closest to the sleigh. The bottom of the sleigh pushes forward through the snow with a groan, and the group is off!
Prompt 3 The sleigh ride will continue for a day or so. Respond with your character getting in the sleigh if you haven’t already, making conversation with a neighbor, or commenting on the weather, etc. Expect something exciting in the next update! If you would like to be added to the quote list for updates, let me know by quoting me in the main thread (not this one).

"Loves to battle? That must be nice," Vincent replied with pinch of envy. "I'm lucky if I can even get Hotaru here off of the ground. All he ever wants to do is sit in the sun." Not offended at all, his Volcarona confirmed this accusation by turning away from Alexa, Farvadin, and his owner. Rather contently, he settled down and started to doze.
"My favorite? Unfortunately him," the bug catcher continued, shoving a thumb in Hotaru's direction. "I hope to one day catch a Scolipede though." When Alex pointed out the sleigh, he sighed and stood up. He did not really want to move. After all, he was just starting to warm up! Yet, she probably had the right idea. "Sure. Maybe we can battle once we make it to this 'cabin'. And after I've eaten something, of course."
He watched her depart and glanced down at Hotaru. "Alright, grub. Unless you want to get left behind, it's time to wake up. I'm not missing out on free meals just because you'd like some beauty sleep." With that he wandered over to the quickly growing group around the Captain. He boarded the sleigh. With a scoff, his Pokemon stretched and fluttered after him. "Just how long is this ride supposed to be anyways?" he wondered out loud to no one in particular. Shrugging in response, Hotaru landed on one of the sides of the sled next to him.

"Cool." Rao nodded as he received a name. "Selene's a badass name, like a witch. Can you do magic, or something?" Atop his shoulder, Sidley rolled her eyes.

Alexa climbed into the sleigh before it left. She picked a seat near Vincent and Hotaru. "Well it is nice to battle but I have two battle hungry pokemon on my team. It can be a pain at times. I certainly don't mind a more laid back pokemon. I have a couple like that too." She said. Hearing that his favorite bug type was one he already had Alexa smiled. "Well it's great that you have him! I must say a Volcarona is one of my favorite bug types.... probably cause it's also a fire type." She said with a small chuckle, "A Scolipede? Hm... I don't think I've ever seen one before." "Alright if we have time when we make it to the cabin we can battle." She said with a smile, "You're hungry? Hm... I have a granola bar you have to snack on if you want." Hearing his question she shook her head. She didn't know how long the ride would be as she missed the captain saying how long. She did catch that they might see pokemon so she got a pokeball ready. Farvardin didn't care one way or another about the captain piloting the sleigh. She was focused on pulling it. She threw all of her weight and strength into making it go.

Cara looked around and spotted Zak and waved him over. "Hey Zak, over here!" She called, patting the seat on her other side, where Remmy and Pooh weren't sitting. Cara saw that they were about ready to set off so she made sure that she and Sage were securely in their seats, and also that she had a pokeball ready, just in case.

Willa finished fixing up her coat and hurriedly slipped it on. She jumped up from her seat and leaned over the side of the sleigh to look at Baratro.
"C'mon 'tro! All your strength now, stay focused!" Willa yelled as loudly as she can through the wind.
Baratro immediately sped up in response to Willa's command. He threw his body forward and whipped his tail furiously about. Fortunately for the others, he was careful and tried to avoid accidentally hitting anyone.
Willa, satisfied with the amount of effort her Sharpedo is putting into pulling the sleigh, fell back down into her seat and sighed. She looked out to the side of the sleigh again to keep an eye out for anything strange.

Heal leaned forward a bit after the first jolt of the sleigh finally moving. That was quiet the team of mismatched pokemon. He tried to play match the trainer with the pokemon inside his head, but found it too difficult without proper introductions. He looked at the trainer seating by him and chuckled at her encouragement. "Which one is yours?"

Willa turned to look at the trainer talking to her. She grinned and tried to point at Baratro, "See that happy Sharpedo? He's mine." She replied with a hint of pride in her tone. "Is your pokemon helping out?" She asked. Might as well talk to someone to pass the time.

That was...interesting. Heal was used to seeing sharpedos under water, gliding just below the surface of his mother's little private lake, not pulling sleighs. A giggle bubbled out of him before he could stop it. "He is a very beautiful specimen." He blinked and shook his head, pointing at the Leafeon wearing a large red and cozy-looking vest, taking up the seat next to him. "Leafeons are meant to frolic through snow, not pulls sleighs." Gallifrey huffed besides him, sitting a bit straighter. He could pulled if he had wanted to....maybe. Heal just chuckled. "Honestly, I didn't think it would be wise. His species isn't really meant to be in the snow for long periods of time, and we don't know how long the ride would be." He shrugged. "Besides, maybe there be danger to this journey and it would be wise to have a few pokemon resting just in case."

"Yeah, he was quite a catch." Willa sighed in nostalgia and smirked, "Wasn't that hard to get too." She then leaned forward a bit to get a better look of the Leafeon the other trainer owned, "Heh, that's a cool Leafeon. Don't see much of them in Unova." She laughed when the grass-typed stood up straighter, "He looks strong, but your right," she leaned back into her seat, "we need to keep some pokemon energized. Baratro's tough but I doubt he'll be strong enough to fight after this."

He wonder what the story was behind that smirk. "Yes, they are bit rare, but i guess all that training around the lake did the trick." He petted the miffed eeveelution. "Althought Gallifrey always been a bit of a pacifist, so I wasn't surprise at his choice."

Willa's ears perked up at the mention of a lake. "Lake? That's neat. What's it like at a lake?" she asked. "The closest I ever got to good ol' Mother Nature in Unova was the moldy, rotting drywall in my apartment and the ocean when I boarded a ship to Zatao." She paused for a moment, "Even then all I did was sleep."

"Oh, well Zatao has a very large lake. Very good for fishing, and a good swim. You should visit it at some point, I am sure your sharpedo would have a grand time with the other water pokemon. It's just brusting with life." He grinned and laughed. "One time, I even caught a buizel with my shirt." Alright, perhaps it was more like a wild buizel got tangle in his shirt after he was nearly drowned by another pokemon, but that was beyond the point.

Lorelai snorted and pinned back her ears, startled by the Captain's cry, but she threw her weight into the harness readily enough. shout so?> she lamented under her breath to nobody in particular.
Kat watched anxiously from her spot in the sleigh, craning her neck, she tried to make sure Lori wasn't getting too tired and didn't show any signs of lameness- to her knowledge, the sweet doe hadn't ever had to do work like this before.
She had a couple of pokeballs in her bag, and pulled one out, keeping it securely in her lap. Lori had a little nervous at the idea of actually living with other pokemon, but Kat had carefully explained that as a healer it was very important that she get to know as many different pokemon as she could. Hopefully, if she did manage to catch someone new, they'd be as pleasant as Lori was.
She glanced at the fellow who had volunteered his Seadra to help pull and gave him a small smile. "That was kind of you to remind the Captain that Pearl might not like the cold," she told him quietly. "I should have thought of it myself. Thank you."
