Laine shifted in her seat slightly. She felt a little silly with her reasoning for voting. But if the guy wanted to nominate himself like that, that was his fault. Even if he was just trying to avoid stepping on toes. The logic made sense to her. She even felt like he was taking a bit of a stance, showing that he had nothing to hide. Course, whether or not he was actually hiding something was yet to be seen. Whether it was suspicious, she didn't see it. But maybe she was just a little too new still. Swiping the can from Gabriel, she took another swig. Liquid courage and all that. "Sorry man... " She mumbled at Boaz.

Avery pursed her lips as the votes continued to stack against poor Boaz, eventually reaching out to use Vanya's shoulder for balance as she shifted and set her cup on the ground. She gave it a scrutinizing stare, as if to command it not to tip onto the thin carpet, before addressing the group.

"I think Boaz makes an interesting point - are you voting for him because you believe he's truly a threat to our village, or just to save your own necks from the noose?"

She hadn't yet seen any evidence that he was anything beyond naive, voting for himself to try and avoid making enemies in the previous round. Then again, both of the more antagonist players had already been revealed as human. Perhaps a nice guy like Boaz was exactly who they needed to be worried about? Avery wasn't sure.

Eying him, she decided to be rather direct about it.
"Honey, this is a game, but if you don't want to get strung up, you'd better work on your elevator pitch."

Boaz's heart sank with every vote that was cast for him to be taken out in this round, only belatedly coming to the realization that there was no cooperation to be had in this as it came down to every person for him/herself. Nobody seemed to care if they had the right or wrong person so long as they moved on to the next round in the end. He did however perk up a little when Avery echoed the comment he made earlier in his somewhat feeble attempt at saving himself.

"I still stand by what I said earlier. If you truly believe in your heart with just reason that my behaviour has been suspicious, so be it. If not, then may I suggest someone who's even more suspicious like her?" He proposed tentatively, raising a finger to point it towards Porsha. At the very least, he could take heart in the fact that someone actually listened to what he had to say regardless of how this round would eventually turn out.

“I am for now at least swayed.” Zink shrugged slightly. “Po… you take my vote instead. I like to imagine I know Lena here well enough that she’d give herself away. I’ve been wrong before though, besides… why vote for HER first, when it was Avery who was the first to raise her voice? No, that’s pushed me forward in my decision, to not cast suspicion on yourself you’d have to cast a vote –against- a fellow wolf and risk being voted out yourself. But I don’t think you’d do that… so.. sorry. My vote has changed to you Porsha

It didn't take a math wiz to realize the votes were beginning to stack up in an even fashion, so Porsha did what any well minded individual would do. She withdrew her vote, and cast it for the other person the odds were stacked against. "Upon careful reflection, I will be changing my vote to that nice young man." She point at Boaz, smiling pleasantly.

Hey, survival of the fittest. It wasn't personal.

To Zac she grinned, rolling her shoulders in a shrug that meant everything and nothing. "Because her hair is prettier then mine." No it wasn't.

The brunette flashed Zac a bright smile as he said her name, but said nothing in rebuttal or confirmation, instead turning her mind to the dilemma at hand.

The game was getting harder. Porsha was clever, and very cute - someone she might actually like to know at some point - which meant she probably wasn't all that sweet. After all, she had called both women out for - essentially - taking issue with Richard's behavior. Boaz, of course, was just a nice guy. None of that had anything to do with what their cards would reveal, and so the councilwoman was at a bit of a loss. Porsha, of course, swapped her vote. She'd be an idiot not to.

This was ridiculous, and she knew she needed to cast a vote.

Avery carefully lifted her cup, finishing the remnants of her vodka cranberry in one slow swallow. She raised a slim shoulder in a shrug.

"I'm very interested in Porsha's card."

Vanya didn't want to appear... you know... weak-willed or easily swayed, so even as the arguments stacked up for other players, she stuck by her vote for Boaz. Sure, it had been borne from a desire to have no one in particular look her way, but--well--she really didn't want to lose any potential friends.

And Avery, next to her, seemed... really nice... and, uh, really smart and really pretty. She'd asked very incisive questions. Out of everyone, she seemed most likely to know what she was doing... If Zac hadn't already changed his vote, Vanya would have stuck with Boaz until the end of the round. But he had, and she felt it was okay to switch, in that case.

"I'm interested in it, too," she said, avoiding eye contact with Porsha. Instead, she stared fixedly at Avery's knees on the cushion next to her. "Avery made a lot of good points, so, I'm going to vote with her."

Well then...this was an interesting shift in alliances. Despite her initial predispositions, she supposed that her initial vote was more on principal than actual suspicion. "You're safe this round, Boaz, on account of Avery's convincing speech," she finally said, turning her gaze on Porsha. "As for you...I think the mob mentality has finally settled in."

To say Sawyer had mastered sad-puppy-eyes would be inaccurate. Sawyer had sad-puppy-eyes that came naturally.

"I voted Porsha," he confessed in a small voice, "because I feel bad voting for anyone and I knew she'd forgive me. Sorry, Po."

There was a breath of silence and -- in that moment -- Ever leaned forward to capture their attention.

"Well. That sounds pretty decisive, then. I heard seven for Porsha, and only four for Boaz -- so, honey, I've got bad news."

This was directed at Porsha with a mournful sort of look.

"You are as dead as dead can be. Want to show that card?"

Vanya was given a rather stunned look of betrayal as the vote was changed, and then, with a heavy sigh, the young woman got to her feet and moved to the middle of the middle of the circle.

So much for survival. She gave the quiet corner Richard and Krishna were sitting in a pained look before rolling her eyes to the group at large and holding her card up so it was easily visible. Brows dipped, expression asking rather clearly if they were all happy now, and she flipped her card revealing herself to be a villager. Murderers, the lot of them.

The card was tossed to the floor with all the flare of Vegas blackjack dealer, and Porsha succumbed to her fate with as much dignity as she could muster. This included a pantomimed show of holding a hang man's rope above herself and cocking her head to one side as features slackened dramatically. It lasted only a moment, and afterward she gave a big shrug, smiled, and sauntered her way over to the corner to take a seat beside Richard, whom she returned the pilfered shades to.

She, at least, had no hard feelings towards the group. It was just a game.

It was, maybe, a bit of a relief. Ever grinned, a sudden and fierce grin, as she stepped away -- and turned his own attention back to the rest of the crowd.

"I have to say, the werewolves are cleaning house. You haven't taken out a single one yet; might I advise less in-fighting and more strategy?" It was offered cheerfully, at least, instead of accusing -- but it was a good point. If this was a bonding event, shouldn't they be bonding? Or at least working together. He couldn't help but wink.

"Of course, nothing you can do now. It's night again. Put your heads down."

OOC:

Sorry Bee, but as you know, Porsha is now dead. I'm giving you the opportunity to RP out a death scene IC if you'd like, so as to pad out your word count and make sure you have the required 450, if you don't already. Under no circumstances should you say anything in your death scene. It's a dramatic, fun thing for you to do, not a way to give extra information! Oh wait you already did this.

EVERYONE ELSE -- Night approaches. Werewolves and the Seer will receive PMs shortly. The next day round will begin in about 24 hours. If you'd like, you can RP putting your heads down now.

"Sorry, doll," Avery called quietly as Porsha walked away, an amusing mix of a grimace and a smile crossing her pretty face. Ave would have to buy that sassy thing a drink, at some point. While she hadn't quite expected the tides to turn so dramatically (how cute was Vanya?), it was possible that they were both villagers - or that Boaz was one sneaky little b*****d. The game wasn't over, so there weren't more wolves than villagers, and there had to be at least two wolves, and a Seer, right?

The game had just gotten interesting.

Ave's cup was empty, but it was time to put her head down for the night.

"Sorry, sorry!" Vanya was at least doubly mortified now that she knew her friend was innocent--but what could she do? It was really too late to change anything. I should've gone with Boaz, was the main thought as she settled down to rest until the sun came up.
