For once the little child did not end the task in tears. He was cheerful as he offered up his memories. Not all of them had been happy, but he had experienced both, and that gave him a better appreciation of the good and the bad. He set the passport down, and as before the weight of fresh knowledge lifted and he was left again with a blank slate. And a sense of happiness.

L'Cakepies turned in his passport. What a fun time he'd had.
"Thanks!" he told the goddess.

Shaw approached the statue of the Goddess, waiting his turn patiently. With a sigh that was part relief, he set his passport on the pedestal, and was soon relieved of the burden of memory once again. He smiled, feeling suddenly at peace.

Rime was actually quite happy to return to the Goddess this time, the feeling must more pleasant than the tasks that had been set out for them by Ruin and Paranoia. However, she would make her sacrifice same as before, setting her log book down on the empty pedestal. Sudeenly all her memories were gone, though she was left with a pleasant, almost happy feeling. Whatever had happened, she hoped the goddess was happy with her and hoped that there might be more feelings like this in the future.

Ideih looked down at her log. That memory.. It...it was hers? Was she actually Heidi? She had love...she had it. A man who loved her. A man who made her heart race and made her feel whole. He was why she felt so alone, why she felt there was something missing. Did she really want to give up this memory? Did she really want to give up any of these memories? She didn't want to forget.. With a frown she placed her journal down in offering anyway. She didn't want to forget, but it didn't look like she had a choice. The memories were gone the moment she let go of the journal. She couldn't even remember why she felt a pleasant flutter in her chest.

Licraesa returned to the pedestal with the memory that she existed in duality. With the memory of a little girl. With the memory of a man who disappeared. She offered it all to the goddess, albeit a little reluctantly.

Kirki returned and read the goddess's plaque. Had he made friends? He didn't think so, but he'd found people he sympathized with and truly wished better for. Disgruntled, he gave his offering.

Gun entered and considered the goddess's plaque carefully. He was pretty sure there were no friends to be had, but he'd like there to be. He felt he now had a connection with these others. He gave his offering willingly.

Amati regretfully offered up her tea pot, along with the log describing the other teas she had encountered. Most of the memories she had sampled had been good ones, and even her own tea hadn't turned out so bad, but ultimately, they weren't hers to keep. As she placed her pot on the pedestal, she completely forgot what she wanted to hold onto, only that she had had some nice tea, a tasty cake, and no one had died. That was good enough for her.

Stew didn't know quite what to make of the Goddess's task or her plaque. Those other teas hadn't been that horrible, certainly less confusing than the one he had made, but if she wanted them that badly, she could have them. Had he known what he had given up already he might have demanded an exchange, but he did not, so he simply placed these new memories on Longing's pedestal.

Lezurie sighed happily as she returned to the Goddess with her tea log. She looked happily at her. "They tasted wonderful, thank you." And she went on her way to the shrine. Even without the memories she felt warm.

Vassou was mentally exhausted from witnessing other people's memories. Some were good, some were bad, and others just touched his heart. He wanted to see more memories unfold, but knew only time would tell. Leaving his tea passport with the goddess.

He was tired, perhaps, but not tired enough to make his way back to the goddess, offering up his little teapot to her in as unobtrusive manner as possible. And then he stepped quietly away, in silent contemplation.
