Back to the bubbles he went, scooping up a big handful and then darted around, looking for a good target. He noticed a boy who had just gotten one of the girls, and ran towards him, tossing the bubbles at Trev as he ran by. "Gotcha!"

Bryn is targeting Trev and has succeeded in hitting him with bubbles.
So much for easy targets. Before Griffin could scramble to his feet, the girl he'd hit managed to get him in the face. With bubbles, of all things! They got in his eyes and his mouth, and he coughed and sputtered as he tried to wipe them off. There was no part of him that was dry anymore, but he grabbed a corner of his shirt that was still clean- or mostly so- and used it to get the soap out of his eyes. The taste lingered in his mouth, and he spat on the ground to try to get rid of it.
This meant war.
Not that he hadn't used the very same tactic earlier, but this was an act that demanded revenge. He could target the rest of them after he settled the score with this girl. Nothing else mattered to him right then.
Fortunately, he was still right next to the tub of balloons she'd been sitting in, so all he had to do was reach in and grab one. Unfortunately, the soapsuds still blurred his vision, so his throw was way off-target, splashing on the ground and hitting nobody, especially not Eliza.
In light of his renewed mojo, Trev's next throw was, perhaps, a bit off due to wild excitement. This balloon flew over the head of it's intended target to land perfectly intact atop one of the school's bushes. As it sat bobbing and swaying slightly, Trev sighed in disgust and decided now was the time for a little self-inflicted pep talk.
"Good going, self," he muttered. "Maybe next time don't just go throwin' without looking."
Derek squawked as some balloon exploded on him. He literally hadn't seen it coming. That's what he got for being out in the open he guessed. Grabving the nearest balloon he chucked it at a kid with out really looking as he made a scramble back for the bushes. Sure enough he missed.
Jason nearly got hit by a badly thrown balloon but it splashed harmlessly on the ground at his feet. It did remind him that he had sandals on and how his mom insisted he wear them today. He had wanted to wear his new sneakers but in lite of the drenching and muddy feet that he currently had..... sandals aren't that bad.
Dragging his mind back to the business at hand Jason grabbed for a balloon and without even caring where it went he chucked it, and watched it splatter harmlessly on a bush. "Well darn." He really needed to get his head back into the game.

Briar’s next attempt at throwing a balloon was as unsuccessful as his attempt to try and throw bubbles, although at least this time round he managed to avoid splashing himself.
Actually the balloon hadn’t exploded at all – just landed with a small plop.
How disappointing. Briar only hoped that Kevin was having an equally disappointing time of it as he was – he didn’t want his friend coming out on top – not when chocolate chip cookies were at stake like they were.
He looked around for his next target – hopefully this time he'd do better.
Marisha grinned as she ran around having fun. She had already managed to soak three different kids and she was determined to get another. Looking for her target among the people scattered about the field she spots one. however she noticed that the kid was near the tub filled with that sudsy soapy bubble filled water and bounced happily before running over and grabbing a handful of the things into her hands. Then she turns and blows them right into the kids hair with a grin. "Got ya!" she yells out before running off.

Well. This was just getting silly. Weighing one of the balloons in his hand, Trev wondered briefly if he shouldn't toss one at Derek just for old times sake. Then, with a sigh and shake of his head, he knew he couldn't be the one to break the truce. It just wasn't something an honorable dude would do.
Which left.. well, a lot of other people. Throwing quickly, Trev winced as this one too went over it's mark to explode harmlessly on the ground. Maybe he should just make a game for himself out of his misses. Start assigning himself points for things hit other than people. Feeling his spirits lift slightly at the thought, he grinned. He could still have loads of fun.
(.....That's it. No more candy for you. I honestly don't know how to reply to that)
Derek made it back to the bush safely, having grabbed a few balloons in the process. He hunkered down in his spot and waited for the right kid or opportunity to arise. Seemed like Trev was back in the game. Wasn't sure where he disappeared to but hey. Whatever. He threw a balloon at a passing child and frowned when it completely missed.

Briar found his next target in a kid running towards the confetti tub, lobbing his water balloon towards her. His aim was off and it missed, instead colliding with a different girl.
She shrieked promising retaliation and ran off – mayhaps to grab a balloon of her own. Briar on his part started to head towards one of the sudsy water tubs – maybe he’d try getting someone with bubbles this time round.
Running around the edge of the group, Meagan picked out her target with a critical eye. They had to be seperated from the others and not holding a balloon... her escape route had to be clear... she mentally checked off criteria as she went.
Once she had her target, the young girl crept close, stealthily making her way into range.
Then, with a war cry, she launched her water balloon... success! She squealed as the balloon soaked her opponent and then she ran for her life.

A near miss with some of those bubbles had had Briar changing his mind and deciding to opt for another water balloon.
After carefully giving the confetti tub a wide berth Briar looked around for someone to throw it at – which presented itself in the form of another running towards the tub.
The boy had dodged at the last minute and the balloon had ended up heading towards a girl who appeared to be dashing away.

Briar is targeting random kid, but hits Meagan instead
Okay... So hiding in the bush might not be the best. He couldn't see well... and obviously he had a limited supply of ammo at his disposal. Eyeing the field again, he noted that it seemed like a few kids where missing. They were probably hiding in wait... Oh well might as well give them what they wanted? Derek once again shot out of the bush, throwing his ammo left and right. And of course, every one of them missed.
Taking his new water balloon philosophy to heart, Trev told himself that the point was to have fun and not worry so much about hitting others. So, when his next throw once again missed and bounced off of a tree trunk, Trev very generously gave himself 15 points and shrugged philosophically. Couldn't win 'em all.
Kaia shrieked when she was hit by Akane's balloon and it soaked her legs.
"ooooooo!"
she balled her little hands together and threw her own balloon back, targeting Akane's back and was surprised and pleased when it hit and soaked. Feeling a little vindicated she dashed back to get another when Briar's balloon hit.
