The next person he grabbed, some teenage female, was only just being drained when someone plowed right into him. It seemed they might not have even noticed him as they continued running. How could someone just crash right into him! The girl had been tossed from his arms and scrambling to her feet had run off, her heels didn't seem to hinder her escape either.

Growling softly as he pulled himself up off the ground the ash haired general headed off in the direction the man had gone, some people really needed a lesson in manners.

Whatever Chris had been planning, it definitely hadn't been his intention to crush Ganymede with his weight. He wondered how horrible the fall would have been without his partner's help, and decided he didn't want to think about it. He'd been extremely lucky to have someone with the strength to actually catch him, well... catch him.

"s**t, sorry sorry!" he whimpered, scrambling to get off Ganymede as fast as he could, reaching out to help him up once he was on his feet. "I'm sorry, I thought I'd be able to climb down the chain," he said, looking the senshi over to make sure there weren't any serious injuries. There wasn't any blood at least, although he was sure Ganymede would have a few bruises.

There wasn't enough time to make sure everything was okay — another youma was approaching them as they stood there, and Chris quickly took cover behind an empty tent so he could power up.

Everything felt more under control as Valhalla, and he was quick to aim a shot of magic at the lunging youma, watching as it tripped over itself and burst into dust. He also didn't have to worry about bandages, seeing as the vambrace over his forearm covered enough of the cuts that he wasn't too concerned.

"I don't know how to get the others down. Let's keep an eye out for the flying youma... other than that, at least they're out of harm's way?" he proposed, wondering if Ganymede had a better idea.

Rolls:
1 - 6 (2): Stuck on the swings!
1 - 10 (6): Attacked by youma! Still stuck!
1 - 10 (6): And... still stuck. ;;
1 - 10 (2): Stuck and attacked.
1 - 10 (1): Forever stuck and attacked once more.
1 - 10 (10): Finally unstuck!!
1 - 10 (9): Dusted youma!

She ended up stumbling right into something rather solid and found herself once again connecting hard with the ground, bumping her head a bit and groaning. She looked up to see who she knocked into only to narrow her eyes at who it was.

"Benitoite," she growled climbing to her feet and pointing the general. "What the world is going on here? Tell me now!"

She hoped the general was still suitably wary of her, so that he would answer her question, but with the way she looked and how skewed in chaos' favor this all was, it wasn't likely.

Cora didn't seem to get a breather now did she? She barely had got rid of the panda youma when another youma attacked her. "Aaaahh, could you stop already? I have better things to do!" the kitty shouted and swatted her front paw in front of her. "I have to find my senshi!" Youma didn't really care and dived in, meeting the guardian cat's claws and turning into a dust.

Cora's 'I'm killing you with cute!' Rolls

First Roll: 1 - Spinning Cups (Kinda cute, actually)
Second Roll: 7 - Youma attacked, Cora dusted it.
Third Roll: 4 - Another youma! And it won't go away, even though Cora is screaming/telling it to go away.
Fourth Roll: 7 - A love-sick panda youma gets some stratches and then poofs into a dust.
Fifth Roll: 6 - Another youma appears. Crazy paw-swinging seems to be effective.

What was with people and walking, running, or banging into him tonight! It wasn't amusing anymore, hadn't been in a while, really. And he was determined by now to just rip the starseeds from those who did so from here on out.

This time he'd held his balance, and not fallen, but he had stumbled a few steps back at the force he was hit with. What shocked him was the person who had run into him this time. A familiar senshi and one he ranked up there with Kallichore, he disliked both of them and their powers. Both of them he wanted to do some serious damage to, if only because he disliked being under their attacks that much and felt he owed them a beating, and this was a perfect chance to do so.

"Indeed." He said giving an slight nod of his head. "Mmmm...and you think I'm going to answer you simple because you demand it? Tsk, tsk. I don't answer to you, nor any of your kind." Cold, his words were cold, but with that usual arrogance he carried about him. "And I'd think it would be rather obvious what's going on, unless you really are blind." Giving a smile, or what could be considered one, he lifted one hand to look at his nails, yes he was looking at his nails as he spoke to the senshi. And it wasn't because his nails actually interested him. But rather it was done to get under her skin, and to show her how little she and her orders meant to him.

Maia frowned trying not to get her temper up because she was better than that and she could handle this situation. Still his words plucked a nerve and she felt her ire rising. It was bad enough that she'd been pretty much slapped around by youma, but now the general was acting like she was a fly on the wall.

She took a deep breath, "You tested me once Benitoite, yet you are so quick to dismiss me now," she said in reminder, in warning. "Of course I am not blind. I can see the pure panic and mayhem going on around me. What of you're friends, if you have any, surely some of them came for the carnival opening and yet you what ..."

She gave him a pointed look trying to reason with him. She doubted it would work and she itched to to slap him in that parental sort of way to make him see reason. He'd moved so far from the curious lieutenant that she first met a year ago, she knew that for certain, but did he really approve of all this. There was a preteen not to far from them with a gapping hole where her starseed had been.

"Dismiss you? Were I to do that I'd have already gone off and found some way to properly occupy myself. No, I've not dismissed you." He stated with that all to sweet a smile on his face. The inspection of his nails however continued a few more moments.

"If you are not blind, which you have proven, then why ask what you can see and know for yourself. We are having a night of...fun." The hand he had been inspection the nails of was waved about in a dismissing sort of gesture. "I do apologize if our brand of fun is slightly different from yours - but to each their own." As far as friends were concerned..he didn't have a lot of friends. And many who he considered friends were here as agents of chaos. For those who weren't...well he hoped they weren't here. He couldn't allow himself to dwell on the could be's. He had no proof any of his friends, those who weren't agents of chaos, were here so he wouldn't let her words bother him.

"Are you looking to have another go? Or will you let me continue on my way?" He did doubt she would permit him to leave her presence, but it was worth asking anyway.

He has trying her patience, baiting her and she knew it, but if she had him preoccupied that he wasn't adding to this chaos. All she had to keep her cool and not get overly emotional or insulted. This was easier said than done because he said the word fun ... the were having a night of ... fun?!? Her eyes narrowed and she frowned deeply feeling greatly saddened by his view on all of this.

People were dying, fighting for their lives, or even trapped on right with no way of escaping and youma breathing down their necks. This was not fun, and how could he think it was? She just shook her head at him, her ire not fully there even though he had insulted her repeatedly.

Was she looking for another go? No, but you would she let him just wander off; no.

"I am quite sure you know that I am not going to simply let you walk away," she said softly, almost resigned, before spinning into a kick to his side. Keep him occupied, her mind told her, while the other side begged for more effective solution.

He was prepared for her to attack him, she wouldn't let him walk away from this meeting of theirs. So when she spun to kick him he took a few steps back in order to avoid it. He didn't have any attention of getting hit or injured by the senshi. In fact, he wasn't planning for a repeat of the last time. He was planning, and hoping, to beat this senshi.

So safe from her attempt at kicking him he moved in and decided to return the favor. Kicking out at her. Going for a mid body level kick to her side.

"You really should be less obvious about what your going to do. I could see that kick coming a mile away." He stated calmly.

Her kicked hadn't connect and of course it wouldn't kicking out with her injured leg. It was slower than it normally would be and she paid for it when his foot connected with her side sending her sprawling to the ground into an awkward tumble just off to his side.

She groaned knowing she was have a bruise and paused in her return to her feet to catch her breath. She had lost a lot of energy fight youma on the spinning cups and still after she managed to get off of them. Still she wasn't down and out. Her pause was a brief one, in which, she looked to the general's legs and decided not to fully go to her feet but instead lunge forward swinging a fist to the side of his knee cap and swing the other to grab at his opposite ankle and tug, hopefully a blow that would knock him down. If he wanted unpredictable, she certainly trained enough to give it to him.

At the moment she wasn't really up for banter, she wouldn't let him ruin her focus, was that something she tried to teach others.

Ganymede did not have a better idea. He was probably the last person to go to for good ideas to begin with. As much as he tried to come at any battle or altercation with some sort of a plan in mind, he rarely ever managed to come up with a good one. It was a difficult thing to accomplish when he was never really sure what was ahead.

These days he just kind of winged it.

After clambering to his feet and checking himself for any damage—there wasn't much, thankfully, just some scrapes and future bruising—Ganymede dodged to the side as Valhalla took care of the second youma. Then he glanced up at the swings to observe those people still stuck up in the seats.

He considered jumping up to grab hold of the broken chain from his abandoned swing and pulling himself back up that way to start carting people down one by one, but it seemed a dangerous enterprise to bring them all down here in the thick of things when there was no telling if they'd actually be able to keep them any safer.

"Use your magic to stop the youma from getting too close to the swings," Ganymede said, ignoring any discomfort he might still be feeling—and he was certainly feeling a lot of it. "You focus on the ones that can fly. I'm not going to be much help with those, but I can at least take care of the ones down here."

There another one nearby, terrorizing some punk teenager who thought he could actually handle it, probably trying to impress his buddies who'd long since run off. Ganymede rolled his eyes but moved in to assist, forcing a smile over his shoulder for Val's sake. "It's been a while, huh?"

The lull in activity could have lasted much longer as far as he was concerned. He could not pretend to be unaware of what was going on around them, but he knew if he focused on it, on the screaming and the blood and the bodies, he probably wouldn't be able to continue. It was best to let all that fade into the background for a time, come back to it later and instead focus on what he could do rather than what he couldn't.

He hadn't been expecting the strike to his knee, nor for his foot to be grabbed. Why would he expect that? He'd been expecting her to get to her feet and go for him while on her two feet. Instead she had surprised him and now he was falling to the ground. With a thud and yelp he landed on the ground. Cape and coat a tangle of fabric he wriggled around till he could untangle the tons of fabric, sometimes his uniform could be a pain in the a**. Once untangled he looked at the senshi and keeping on the ground he sat up and went for her. Yanking his leg free he lunged for her with a gloved fist aimed for her face, somewhere during the evening part of his right glove had become torn so it looked like a fingerlless glove. He figured it was some piece of metal which had sliced into his glove and from there he'd just ripped it so his fingers were free.

"Aye aye, Captain," Valhalla responded with a small grin. He couldn't say he was particularly happy that this kind of chaos and destruction popped up after such a long, almost peaceful year, but he was proud of how they'd both grown. When they had started, they hardly knew what to do. Not that they knew exactly what to do now, but their reactions were usually carried through more from experience than experimentation. They'd both grown into their powers, along with many others, and despite his insistance of not wanting to fight, Valhalla was glad those he cared about could defend themselves.

Just as suggested, Valhalla took his postion by the swings, ready to defend the stuck civilians against any threat that may come their way. Sure enough, a youma rose up from the nearby forest on a direct path to the carnival, the swings in its sight.

Using his magic was almost second nature to him by now, and the beam of green light caused the youma's wings to flap erratically and then stop all together, finally plunging for the ground. Hopefully they'd get enough people to help wipe out the pests before they became too much of a threat.

"Ganymede, I think there's a General nearby. Keep on your toes," he called over to his partner, still keeping an eye out for where Zia and Pascal might have run off to. Surely they knew better than to stand around and be youma bait. "I think there's another eternal, too..." Unless he was feeling the power auras completely wrong...

She had gotten him down and it hadn't been terribly hard, she figured it would a rather surprising move. She thought it would give her the time to fully get to her feet, but she hadn't counted on being kicked in his wiggling, nor his recovering as quickly as he did, so she was only half way to her feet, when his fist came flying at her. She jerked back, but it wasn't enough, being a bit unbalanced, the jerk only served to open up her torso connect hard and pushing her back, right back onto her rear.

This was no where near as easy as even as it had been six months ago and Maia was wondering what had changed so drastically in that time. She was quickly resolving that while training other was good for them she had better seek out Chaonis soon, for a bit of training herself. She knew her friend would push her better than anyone else.

"Way ahead of you there, Wonder Boy," Ganymede called back over his shoulder. "Felt Monsieur Général already."

He didn't know who it was, nor was he ready to go investigate just yet when he had another target in sight. He felt obligated to hang around the swings until he was sure nothing worse was going to happen, or until he was pulled away by something more pressing—and, at the moment, he didn't consider one General to be as pressing as the swarm of attacking youma.

Ganymede landed a swift kick to the side of the youma attacking the punk teen, but he underestimated its strength. It stumbled to the side but whipped back around quickly, lunging at him with a viscous snarl and catching his upper left arm with its claws.

His skin was marred with thin, angry red lines that bubbled small beads of blood which seeped slowly down toward his elbow, and the red collar draping down from Ganymede's shoulder tore in half. It was hardly much protection to begin with. With a hiss that was drawn more from alarm than pain, Ganymede hastily assessed the damage and judged that the wounds weren't too deep. He changed position and placed himself between the youma and the civilian, who inched back warily.

"Go now or find somewhere to hide if you can't leave," Ganymede advised, keeping his gaze focused on the youma rather than turning to watch the civilian as he spoke to him. "Don't be stupid and you might actually survive."

Ganymede's voice was full of a confidence he didn't really feel.

Past experiences taught him that survival was absolutely not guaranteed for anyone.
