Saiyuri raised her cup and took the last sip of tea. It took her a moment to respond to Sho; her mind was running through various responses and possible reactions. She understood that most people thought the Mayu had all the power in their minds. Being able to infiltrate the inner sanctum of others was something that most dreamed of. Saiyuri could only chalk it up to ignorance. No one knew how difficult it was for someone with this power to control it. Saiya had seen plenty of her people driven insane at the sheer amount of foreign thoughts invading their minds. It was easy to lose yourself when so many other consciousnesses were constantly brushing up against your own. The sudden feeling of apprehension emanating from Sho and Sun made Saiyuri want to retract from his mind. "Do not worry, you would know if I was digging through your thoughts. It is not a pleasant experience." With a link like the one Saiya was sustaining with Sho was not very strong. For now Saiya would only be able to see what was at the forefront of their minds. Current feelings and thoughts and the like. There were times in her life that Saiyuri had sincerely wished she could speak. There were times when all she wanted was nothing more than to scream at the top of her lungs. Instead she could only let that anger and energy fester and boil. On the other hand being as she was allowed her to express herself in a way that no one else could ever hope to do. Somethings just could not be put into words. Saiya could literally show someone exactly how she feels and perceives the world. Saiya thought for a moment before answering again. Instead of just thinking with words, Saiya decided to show him exactly what she thought. She projected a memory from her past, one where she was attempting to sit through a class with a number of other children. Saiya was closing her eyes and holding her head, trying to concentrate and keep away the thoughts of others. She quickly changed the memory, showing the brothers how it was also a gift. Saiyuri had been a medic a long time ago and she was sitting holding the hand of a patient. The man had lost a leg during war and was in shock. Saiya was sharing calming thoughts with him, washing away his fears. She brought to mind another memory, where someone very important to Saiya was walking away from her. They were blocking their minds from her and Saiya reached out as if to stop them, unable to use her voice to call out. Saiyuri let the memory fade away and waited a moment before thinking with words. "It has its ups and downs. I can be connected to people on a level completely different from anything else, though we often choose not to. Not everyone is keen on having their thoughts laid bare for someone else to see. In some ways it is lonely. But there are people who will open up to you, and then it is worth the time you spend alone." Saiyuri said, thinking about the few people in her life she considered completely close to her. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a few bills, paying for both her order as well as Sho's. "It keeps me sharp, and someone has to do it." Saiya said, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs.

The quick hiss and thwang of an arrow rushing through the air, and pinning its target, was all it took to snap the Kunoichi from her daze. A myriad of feelings rushed Zeppelin all at once; Fear, shock...anger. Zepp quickly snatched the paper attached to it and sneered as she looked at it. Was this some sick joke? Someone could have gotten hurt...hell, she could have gotten killed herself; the arrow didnt land but a few feet ahead of her. Zeppelin crushed the paper and spun to the face the direction it came from and shouted, "The hell is wrong with you!" She wasn't shouting at anyone in particular, just shouting at random in hopes someone would claim their actions so she could have someone to funnel all her angst onto.
Ronnel picked up the bolt from the ground and turned it over in his hands, his eyes flickering between amusement and irritation at this. He walked past Zeppelin, beckoning her to follow him as he began twirling the crossbow bolt in the fingers of one hand. When he was back where he had been, standing near Zokuji, he held up the bolt with one eyebrow raised.
"I believe this is yours. For future reference, using something like this in the village is probably a bad idea, especially when raising your voice would have worked better." His eyes narrowed, most of the moons within them disappearing. "That's not even to mention what would have happened if you had miss. We're in the middle of a busy street - you could have hit an innocent bystander sheerly by accident. Magnus at least waited for them to attack him." That said, he tossed the bolt back to Zokuji and spun around on his heel, nodding to everyone as he stormed off. There was a list of things the white haired medic couldn't stand, and someone being so callous about things that might hurt innocents was apparently one of them, though he hadn't known that before.

Zokuji lowered the sight on his crossbow and cocked his head to the side. Ah, there was nothing like the warm satisfaction of gratification at a success. The genin planted the crossbow into the ground at an angle, leaning into it with his right hand and placing the left on his hip. He wore a satisfied smile on his face which he didn’t bother hiding when Ronnel approached him. He caught the bolt out of the air as it was tossed to him and watched the moon-eyed boy leave with all his feathers ruffled. He gave a mischievous look to Pico. “They want your hands steady enough to make incisions so fine that there won’t be any scars, but they don’t trust you with something this simple. The world is full of contradictions~”. He laughed and waved the bolt enthusiastically toward Zeppelin. “I’d tell you but I don’t think you’re that kind of Doctor! Care to chime in anyway?” He invited her over with an amused face that probably should have changed given her outburst of fury. But he had to admit, it would taste a lie to look apologetic and he didn't think it was very polite to lie to someone you were trying to be friends with. At least, not when you lacked ulterior motives.

Magnus shrugged at Piko. "Why sign, when you can cut out the middle man and speak directly. Its so much easier and battle savvy you know. But if you insist, I will make an attempt to learn or talk to you like this. But, I do apologize in advance as Telepathy comes natural to me.....sometimes I forget to use my mouth for talking." He admitted as Zeppelin walked into the area, coming out the very hospital they all looked at that Zokuji's mother worked at. Magnus didn't really know his mother as she died when he was very young. He grew up mostly with his clansmen of the Tou, a warrior clan that where masters of White Chakra known as Blade Phasing. His father was a traveling warrior and thus he grew up alone mostly. He remember that most of his mother's family was from this village and that was why he came. It was from there that he met the rest of his family in the Mayu including Saiyuri, who became like a second mother to them all.
Instinctively and without thinking, he probed her thoughts and was about the say Hi, when he could feel something was wrong. He looked over to Ronnel as he was leaving. "Mind if I tag along? Missions are always better when you have someone to do them with." He stopped by the girl and then came back. Her reaction to the arrow as alittle different than he expected by the way she had entered the area. To add to it, Zokuji's reaction to her reaction made Magnus smirk and giggle with laughter. "Okay, that was funny, i gotta give you that one."
[Sorry to ditch y'all, but I got a big fish to fry and this is the only time i can really pull this type of thing off without meta-gaming. The stars have aligned!]
The way the boy talked to Ronnel made it seem like this was a game to him. So arrogant, it was like he knew he wouldn't miss. Then she heard what Magus said. Funny? This was just a game to them! Zeppelin became even more flustered than before. Her face began to turn red as she gripped the bridge of her nose, taking in deep breaths trying to calm herself. Normally, she'd not involve herself with little pranks, but this was just careless, and her day was already bad enough. After regaining as much of her composure as she could, she simply walked away form the group. "I need something to drink," she mumbled, making her way to the tea shop. Zepp had always liked tea. It was just as relaxing to her as alcohol was to some, but without the feeling shitty in the morning. She could really go for a cup right about now.
"Come on, Zeppelin, pull yourself together. Just get to the shop and have a nice, relaxing cup of tea. Then you can go home, get some rest and...no this all over again...tomorrow," she mumbled, letting out an audible sign as despair slowly wrapped its hands around her. But just then, a small spark of hope warded off the shadows of gloom besetting the girl. Two ninja walked past her speaking to each other. "Didja hear about that monster they said is roaming the country? Sounds pretty nasty," the first ninja said. The second ninja responded in kind, "Oh ya, sounds pretty nasty. Too scary for me, but any ninja who could take that thing down is sure to get some fame. Yup, they'd surely go far in this world, I tell ya what." This was it! This was the break she needed. With spirits restored, Zeppelin quickly made her way to the tea shop.
She had been thinking over a game plan the whole way there, though without knowing the actual specs of the monster, it'd be hard to appropriately get one together. Zeppelin took a seat at a small table once she got to the shop and looked over a menu, though her thoughts never left the monster. "I'd obviously need a team; a big one. Maybe I could just pull it off with a small one. Let's see...we'd need a controler, someone to hold it's attention, a few to weaken it, and I'd obviously supply on sight medical ********> Her mind was suddenly slapped with the disheartening reminder that she hadn't actually learned anything yet. "Maybe the monster is too much for me...Maybe I'm just doomed to be stuck at the dismal hospital. So much for being a great ninja..." She thought, slumping into her seat, menu falling to the table.
Ronnel simply waved his hand over his shoulder at Magnus, indicating he could follow. Zokuji was just rubbing him the wrong way - acting like the skill needed for surgery was similar to that for combat was ludicrous unless you were trying to use a medical technique in a combative manner. Shooting a crossbow was nothing like that at all, it worked different muscles. To keep himself from snapping at the cocky boy, the white-haired teen sped up his pace as he strode away from the downtown street.

Saiyuri was beginning to believe that she had dumped a bit too much on Sun and Sho since they were just sitting their frozen. It was honestly a bit disconcerting but Saiya could tell they were still alive. She was about to wave her hand in front of Sho's face when someone new entered the tea shop. The girl was smaller than she, best described as petite really. Her fair skin and white hair were a bit odd and had captured Saiya's attention. In truth, the girl was very cute. But the look on her face was not very happy. Saiya bit her bottom lip lightly as she wondered whether or not to see why. It was intrusive, but she was deathly curious. Deciding to just perform a precursory check up on the girl. Saiya extended a link and casually brushed the girl's mind, assessing her current state of mind.
The information flitted through Saiyuri's mind at an incomprehensible speed and in no time she had processed it and formed an opinion. *Zeppelin, genin, medical.* Saiyuri thought to herself before pushing the link a bit further. It was hardly an invasive action but Zeppelin would certainly feel her presence at this point. Saiya furrowed her eyebrows at the news of some monster outside of their village. In their current state Soragakure was incredibly vulnerable. These were dangerous times and they were hardly prepared for another onslaught. This girl really thought she could capture it. Saiya knew what it was; the Ichibi. Back in the days of old she had experienced a Kyuubi attack, one that had nearly killed one of her closest friends. Technically he did die, but Saiya had brought him back. These were things not to be trifled with, but at the same time they could not be allowed to roam free. Saiyuri weighed the decision in her head, assessing all foreseeable outcomes. She ran scenario after scenario through her mind and came to her conclusion in the course of time that it had taken Zeppelin to settle into her seat; the demon had to be caught.
Saiyuri fully opened the link in her mind and turned her physical body to face Zeppelin so she would know just who was addressing her. "Do not doubt yourself so readily. At one point in time the only technique I knew was Diagnosis." Saiya said with a warm smile. All medical ninja started out with the basics. She had not been one of those prodigal kunoichi who had become jounin at the age of six. Instead it had taken her years of hard work and practice just to get to where she was. Even then Saiya sometimes felt like this position had been handed to her out of lack of choices rather than herself being the best choice. "Your plan has a few holes in it; namely it does not take into account just how powerful the defenses of this kaijuu is." Saiyuri said, referring to the demon as a monster instead. She did not believe they were under worldly creatures, merely masses of chakra with terrible attitudes. "On top of that, you'll need to prepare yourself. I can help." Saiyuri said in a helpful tone, making sure to pass on the emotion of assurance. She would never send her own ninja off on a mission she herself would not partake in. This was a serious matter, one that could literally result int he death of a few people or more. Saiya wanted to be there to ensure the casualties were kept to a minimum, hopefully zero in total. But her brain would not allow her to believe that would happen. She knew those chances were very slim.

It wasn't surprise, nor was it fear, that gripped the girl, but something in between as a foreign voice filled her head. All thoughts immediately ceased and Zeppelin began frantically looking around the room. After a few scans, her wide, worried eyes fell upon a woman looking right at her. Zepp struggled to find the right words to say, but what do you say to someone who could, apparently, read your thoughts? Naturally, she should accept this woman's offer for help, but if the demon was really as strong as she made it out to be, would any amount of short term training she did make a difference? After all, she was just a genin, and a medic at that. Doubt began to creep out from the corners of her mind once more, but another thought sprang to the front of her mind...her lineage. Her family were average ninja. They didn't belong to any clans, nor did they have some special genetic abnormalities to make them better. They were simple people who achieved greatness through hard work, and here she was about to give up the opportunity of a lifetime. She could feel how powerful this woman was, and she was just offering to help her out? To turn this down would be a slap in the face to all those who came before her. With confidence restored, though still a little shaky, Zeppelin nodded to the woman, expecting her to have followed her mental track. There wasn't really a need to verbally explain.

Saiyuri was a bit surprised at how swiftly Zeppelin picked up on the ability to not even use a single word and still communicate in this manner. Most people insisted on talking back to her, not that she minded. Saiya could not expect people to conform to her ways, that was just plain silly. It was really refreshing to experience someone thinking back to her through emotions, almost like conversing with another Mayu. Saiyuri felt the doubt emanating from Zeppelin and frowned at herself. She really should learn how to lay things one easy instead of giving the hard truth so often. Saiya wanted to keep her ninja on their toes and prepared, but scaring them so bad they do not want to pursue their goals was probably more counter productive. She gave an apologetic expression and immediately pushed a feeling of comfort through the link. She was trying her hardest to be sincere. "You do not need to come from greatness to be great. And you will not be doing this alone." Saiya thought as she stood up from her stool and walked over to Zeppelin. She sat across from the girl and reached out, taking her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. Saiyuri had literally studied people for so long she had picked up their habits. The way they shifted uncomfortably when they were embarrassed, how tense their bodies got when they were angry. Because a Mayu could not speak and many people opt to block their links they had to learn how to convey their feelings through other means. Saiya had adapted and quickly figured out how to have an entire conversation using only body language. Feeling the girl's confidence grow Saiyuri now offered her a bright smile. "When do you want to get started?" She questioned, her voice sounding almost like a reverberating echo through the link. Despite being able to manipulate their thoughts and what was 'heard' through their links, many Mayu could not change their inner voices. They often sounded musical or haunting, ethereal compared to a normal person. Saiya's had been described as honey like, and once that she had a mind like a diamond.

A chill ran down Zeppelin's spine as the woman's mind entered her own once again. She was sure it would be something she'd get used to with time, so she'd tolerate it as best she could till then. Zeppelin returned the woman's grip with her own, gently tightening her hands around Saiyu's. She wasn't quite sure why, but the little gesture helped ease any remaining doubts. Well, most of them anyway. She still had no idea who she was dealing with, or why she even offered to help. Was she legitimately trying to help a poor kunoichi, down on her luck, or was there some ulterior motive behind it all. What if she was just being used? Zeppelin did her best to put her thoughts to words. Spoken thought wasn't her usual method of conveying thought; she usually thought in pictures and scenarios. "Id like to start now, but why do you want to help?" she thought, hoping for the answer she wanted. It'd be nice if someone genuinely wanted to help her grow as an individual, instead of just using her as an extra set of hands to hold a scalpel.
____________________THE PAIN, THE HATRED, THE DESTRUCTION____________________
Saiyuri continued to hold the girl's hand for a moment, a sparkle appearing in her eyes. This must have been the first time someone did not know who it was. Zeppelin was just full of refreshing little moments, moments that Saiya was enjoying. It was honestly cute how unsure the girl was being right at this moment. With just the announcement of her title or maybe even her name the girl would know who she was. But for some reason Saiya wanted to remain anonymous. With a playful tilt to her smile Saiya thought to the girl once more. "I am someone who has a very sincere interest in keeping this village not only alive, but prosperous. Each ninja here is very special to me, and I intend to do all I can to help them grow into what they want to be. Meet me at the training grounds when you are ready." Saiyuri transferred an image of the derelict area of Soragakure that had been re-purposed as a discipline and exercising zone. In truth it was a derelict section of the city. There were not enough people to fill it and the ninja needed a space to practice. It was perfect really. No civilians were ever harmed on accident and the shinobi and kunoichi could cause as much damage as they wanted. Not only that but they were forced to get used to fighting in cities and awkward streets. It helped get them prepared for invasions or home defense.

It didn't take very long for Misaki to arrive in the downtown area with her natural speed, slowing to a trot, and then a walk as she looked around. Soon enough she stopped altogether, looking behind her, grabbing the scroll, and then looking at that. For all her haste and gusto, she'd completely forgotten that she had no idea where the bars in the area were. Just being near them permeated the air with the ugly stench of drink, and the loud laughter of idiots chugging stupid directly into their bodies. Horrible place to be honestly, but this time it would be paying, so maybe it wasn't all that bad. She ignored the attention that her extra attributes grabbed and started walking along at a leisurely pace. Ronnel was a man, he'd have to know where the bars were. The girl stopped, studying the scroll hard to figure out where to go. If she found out before he caught up great, but if not, she'd have to make up some sort of excuse to have him lead the way. Not knowing the area made her look bad.

Ronnel Hanaya | Offensive Medic |Soragakure Genin
Ronnel skittered along the rooftop, having landed from a jump going too fast. Once he was standing on stable feet again he looked around, trying to figure out where the fox-girl had disappeared to. Just his luck, the girl had run off. At least he had been able to follow her trail through the city - it hadn't been hard, just asking people if they'd seen her run by had kept him pointed in the right direction. He'd ended up taking to the rooftops when he realized that he couldn't keep up with her while trying to cut through the crowds without running into people, how she did it he didn't know.
As he prowled along the tops of the buildings, he spotted a building that resembled a bar from his hometown, and while it had a a small fence meant to corral people and keep them in line, there wasn't a bouncer to guard it and keep people from sneaking in. At the moment, what looked like the manager of the building was doing so. Ronnel frowned, that was unusual, but for the moment finding the girl with the mission scrolls -
He saw her, standing next to one of the buildings on the other side of the street, and rolled his eyes. She was reading one of the mission scrolls, and he sighed before dropping down onto the street and walking over to her.
"Hey now, let's not run off like that alright? Lords above, not everyone moves as fast as you do kit." If she wanted to call him pretty boy despite having told her his name, he'd call her kit.
