Turning his head to the side, he stared down at Alex, who was busy looking into one of her bags.
From what he could see, a bright glow was emmiting from it's contents. What the hell this meant... he had no idea.
But she seemed fascinated by it, and it was apparently realtively harmless.
It was then he made up his mind about something...

Shouyin pulled to a stop at the island edge, getting out of the car to look at this landbridge. The guy with the sword had sped out in front of him, so he assumed he'd already kicked it off down the bridge, and the half-golem hadn't seen anything making chase on the boardwalk, so he figured the inspection was worth the risk.
He took a step onto it, figured it was safe, and got back in the car to start driving.

Considering the delays, Allen was actually a little behind Shouyin, rather than ahead. And he would have stopped to inspect the land bridge himself, but seeing the car in front of him already moving across, Allen figured it was probably safe.
Damn, his cheek was hurting. He'd have to be more careful next time he fought a ghost knight.

WHOOPSY-DAY!
Shouyin checked his mirrors and noticed the bike behind him. He shrugged it off and fumbled again in his pockets for that cellphone. He flipped it open and grinned to see that it was on, telling the time, and picking up a signal. Vahn's number was found in the address book and dialed. 'Twas busy as usual, and the half-golem was left leaving a voice message.
"Hey, it's Shou. I'm heading towards the mainland from Gambino, I should reach port soon. Dunno what this shield thing I picked up is, but it's glowing a fancy light blue, and considering the Hell I went through to grab it, I'm guessing it's a petal. Get back to me when you can." He flipped the phone shut, and bumbled off the landbridge onto where ever it connected with the port.
DESTINATION NEXT: Port of Gambino

Allen would have called his friends, but it was a little harder for him. The glowing blue sword help in one hand, and the other used to steer. He was hardly able to make a call like that.
With his bikes speed, it didn;t take him too long to reach the end of the land bridge, speeding into the Port of Gambino.

Gammu hated the water, the suit might be able to withstand the pressure but if he was down there he wouldn't be happy. Keeping the weapon leveled at the soul survivor the ferry moved as quickly as it could. A stray thought of keeping the man alive afterwards passed through his mind, he would decide latter, there was always the return trip.

Gamma put the finishing touches on the kevlar wrapped titanium plate on his left vambrace. It'd likely stop a bullet on the off chance he was shot in the exact spot there was a hole. People had to know the weakness was there, and with the matching covers, they couldn't tell by looking.
Carelessly kicking a perforated ferry worker's body overboard, he tossed the adhesive tube with it. No need for it anymore.
Ground was coming. An Island. They were heading northeast? Why? He doesn't have a good reason, but what, you going to stop him?
They went to the boardwalk, watching numerous people fleeing from it.

The van rolled onto the land bridge and was off to find the boss called Null.

Taking the land bridge the armored van continued towards Gambino's Boardwalk, where clear destruciton and mayhem could be seen.

Sliding along the remains of the ferry's side, his greaves sparked from the metal on metal contact. Yellowed eyes were narrowed, even as he pushed off and went grappling onto an extended pole.
Spinning around it, he went leaping higher into the air, platforming across the landbridge in this fashion, while avoiding any and all authorities below him.

Hitting ground again, he went sliding using the heels of his greaves to halt his momentum as much as possible. He could already see the opposite side docks, and the long stretch of beach itself.
He had done a good job of avoiding falling into the water, as well as anyone spotting him. The tattered remains of his mantle went fluttering behind him, even as he sailed forward from a leap.
