Finally, Jason managed to lay a hit on the shadowling on the door post. In a very lose tense of the word, as he had decided the smart thing was to get out of his bed and to attack it but instead he tripped and fell in a heap on the floor, the tip of his sword nicking one of the antenna.
Yes, this was a master swordsman at work.
Name: Jason Kenneth HP: 38 Damage: 1 Role: Observant Shadowling HP: 9 (OMG JASON YOU HIT IT YAY)
Untangling himself from the mess of bedsheets, Jason stood in his boxers and darted forwards with a jab, the tip piercing the shadowing as it darted away. He could now see there was another one eating away at the end of his desk, and he grimaced. Where the heck did these thigns come from anyway?!
The creature was really starting to annoy Sherry. Or was it the fact that she seemed to fail so hard at hitting it? Or perhaps Armagnac was the irritating this morning? Or the sirens? Or everything? It was likely everything all added up. Not that it mattered. Things still had to be dealt with.
And thus, Sherry Greyson was in her room, in her pajamas, waiving her weapon around, and hitting next to nothing.
All in all, it did appear to be a futile exercise. The shadowlthing was fast, and Sherry was just not quite that fast. Even when she had it cornered, and thought she had it in line for a quick jab, but no. The little critter would dart away, fast as nothing.
Like it was about to right at that moment. Sherry motioned to jab at it, the thing ran, and Sherry was left with a nice cut in her desk.
As the shadowling bounced around, Jason bidied his time until he jumped at him, and he struck hard and fast, the creature dissipating in true halloween fashion. He sighed. One down..a hole lot more to go. There was no point in trying to fight all of them, so Jason made a hasty retreat into the hallway where he saw a few moon and sun hunters running down the hallway, and he merged in with them
Her next swing was almost as good as her last one. It caught the creature, and even as it tried to dart away, it dissipated. "Ha! See!"
"Right." The alarms were still blaring. Sherry really should be joining the others, and more time than she would have like had been spent poking holes in her walls. "Right."
She didn't bother to change out of her pajama pants, they were decent enough, though she did take a moment to put on a brazier and decent tank top. Then she grabbed her coat (hoping her bandages were still in it), slipped on her boots, and ran.

The blaring sirens only made him groan, as he slowly sat up, rubbing his eye with one hand. Damn it all... he knew Deus wasn't a place for rest and relaxation... but still. This was ridiculous. He had barely scraped by his promo, and now they were already dealing with hell again.
"Can't catch a freaking break..." he muttered. Eh?
He looked around, not noticing anything at first, but when he heard the sound of chewing, he froze. What in the...
Finally awake, he noticed there was a small, black looking creature munching on his new intermediate coat, glowing yellow eyes fixed on him. "...WHAT THE HELL?!"

"STOP CHEWING ON THAT!" Somehow, he thought kicking at the shadowling bare-footed was an excellent idea. But the kick ended up connecting, and he punted the shadow into the wall.

Huffing, he picked up the coat and threw it on the bed. Considering he was still sleeping clothes (aka the clothes Sherry got him), there wasn't much point in putting it now.
"Last chance, you cretin. Get the hell out of here."

Shaking itself off, the shadow only blinked at Jake, before hopping over to a corner and started nibbling on another article of clothing.
