David purrs and runs a paw lightly Through Iggy's hair " mmmmm...really that is good to hear" he replied purring happily.He smiled and tilted Iggy's chin up slightly before planting a kiss on the alpha's lips passionately and hungrily. He pulled the alpha closer to him,before whispering lightly into the other's ear " you still think, this won't work out?" He questioned his warm breath on Iggy's ear.

It really was good news. Iggy and Keahi both had to watch their flames or they could easily hurt those around them. But David seemed to have a natural defense, or affinity, who knew! Perhaps they would never know exactly what it was. Perhaps it didn't matter, all that really mattered was the love that had always been there but was finally given a chance to blossom. David smothered Iggy's chuckle by pulling him into a kiss that took his breath away. He replied huskily in David's ear, "It's becoming more difficult to have any doubts."

David lightly rubbed Iggy's back, before purring quietly. Before he snuggled Iggy. "Is that so?" He questioned "why is that?" He added.Trying not to smother the poor alpha, well at least it gave them something to do off duty. He was still unsure about Iggy's idea of stepping down,now that they were getting closer and closer together, he would hurt him more if he decided.

He kissed David beneath the ear trying to think of a good way to put it into as few words as possible. "It's hard to have any doubts when you love someone," he finally admitted. As far as remaining alpha... well, at this point if he had to choose between the pack and David, he would choose David. He would rather lose his rank and responsibilities than lose David. That is, if David would still have him after that.

"that is very true" he agreeded and purred when Iggy kissed him beneath the ear. Despite, their rank both Iggy and Him were happy and nothing could ruin it, they could probably add to it but when it came down to it he would rather lose his rank than lose the alpha.

If they were like-minded, Iggy didn't know, and would never have considered it on his own. Part of him thought that he should take the blame if anyone. But another part of him wondered if David would even allow him to. He was always feeling guilty for various reasons, but David had been the one to make him start to think things a little differently. "David... I don't really know how well I could separate our time together privately from our duties to the pack. I think we can still be a good team for our pack, maybe better than before. But I want you to know that if I have to choose, I would choose you before the pack."

David listened to Iggy speak, he was not use to the alpha sharing how he felt but he was grateful he did. He lightly "well, who said we had to put extra effort to do so, if you look at it we just have to find a way to do so without any incident..." he told the other. Though he did find it sweet that Iggy would choose him over the pack and that pleased him greatly. "I just want you to know Iggy, if I had to choose as well, it would be you over the pack" he said thoughtfully before snuggling into the alpha. This was such a depressing topic,and he did not like it.

Ignatius could see that this topic had made David somewhat somber. It was no wonder, but he had felt that he needed to make that choice, and to make sure David was clear on his position. Having David say the same in return however, was indeed a surprise.
He embraced David tightly, wings, tail and all. The words had been said but they did not nearly enough express what he was feeling.
He pulled away just a little with a light chuckle. "Some alpha and beta we are. Pack should always come first. Let's hope we never have to choose." He purred and nuzzled into David's neck.

David purrs lightly as Iggy hugs him " not necessarily, in some cases what we have comes first in others pack comes first" he put in lightly as he hugged Iggy back. He flicked his tail to and fro idly.

"Hm." Iggy pondered thoughtfully and nodded slowly. It made sense, even if he wasn't convinced 100% that there would not be conflicts. He had never been that fortunate. But for now, he could be satisfied with that.
(Yeah, I think now's a good time. We can do in this thread or another, up to you.)
