Stormy's yell might have been a little bit too effective, the yeti dropped its attention on the others and fixed beady black eyes on her.
Then it roared and ran at her.

Swinging Tracey in the fairly deep snow was still an unfamiliar experience, the sheer surface area of the blade making it somewhat akin to trying to swing a snow plough. As he tried to get to the yeti via a stumbling combination of hopping and stumbling, dragging the axe behind him, he lost a lot of his charging momentum.
It batted away the swing which ended up simply glancing.

Today was not her day for combat. The yeti, still rampaging about, now moved on from Ami to Stormy when the trainee purposely drew the creature towards her, and Xedis still was not ready. :Concentrate!: I'm trying, dammit! Man, she really was a bit rusty for combat..
Okay, concentrate.. Concentrate..

...Okay having an alpha yeti lunging at you didn't sound like good strategy anymore. But she was keeping the heat off the other injured Hunters, right? Maybe if she distracted it a little more, they could pull off some charges...Still, for a moment when the pain from its swipe connected to her brain, Stormy thought about bugging out. And then -
"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" She swung thane and nicked its hand as she slipped away, knocking her free fist against the blade; she was getting just a wee bit better at holding the greatsword, briefly, with one hand. "Come on then, you empty headed animal food trough wiper."

"Keep up, sweet Katherine!" Ami chimed from the frontlines, pulling her staff together. Junpei began to thrum with excitement, a signal she knew well.
< Do it do it do it. >
For once Ami would take Junpei's orders. There was an open opportunity for an attack, and Ami took it. An energy-charged bar of metal, straight to the belly of the yeti. Take that.

Lex had totally been there the whole time, he'd just sunk into a snowbank. He was a kid from Vegas; they didn't have snow, okay? He was here now, ready to shoot some yeti hide.
He completely missed. Stupid snow.

Jerry reeled, the temperature was slowly rising, his coat becoming slowly more stifling, but he could concentrate on the yeti. "JUST KEEP AT IT!" He managed to shout as Roar blasted forth, grazing the beast across the shoulder.
Again, those pangs of sympathy. He almost was ready to ask Rep if it really was a yeti or another Hunter in a golem.
A bit of pride in him said if that was the case, his own acting had been way better.
I'm pretty sure that's not a guy in a suit, Roar assured him.

"Man, This beast needs to be wiped down to size." Dakota hissed as he slid a little on the snow, goggles adjusted as he sliced the yeti with Chama's fire.

A male Yeti was nothing to scoff at, and Melvin had the flickering realization that he would much rather face a polar bear, as insane as that thought was to have. He did feel curious how Fear creatures survived in this area with little to feed on or keep them stable, and he wondered if they had a base that had some or field or current keeping this healthy and alive, not to mention being able to support such a group of them. There was also a horn on this one, which had him wondering if such adaptations were only decoration considering all creatures out of Fear were there to look imposing, or if the Halloween world somehow gave a horn a purpose in living.
OMG your brain is like dry crackers at times. Can you just entertain me once and say LET'S KILL THIS JACKIN THING! with some vigor? Just once. I'd like to believe that I'd not bonded with a textbook.
Fine. Fine. Let's kill this Jackin thing. The mental tone was far from passionate, and he could feel Saliva sighing in defeat at her expectations being unfulfilled.
Aiming, he shot the yeti.

There were a lot of tiny people scurrying around. More than it had ever seen. It was angry but there wasn't a huge amount of direction to its swipes at this point.
Ami's charge left a large bleeding slash on the creature's underbelly, but in its blind rage it leapt for the nearest unfortunate to it, leaping for Dakota.

Yeah, today just wasn't her day. "Yes ma'am!" She called back to Ami, still focusing on prepping Xedis for the next shot. At least she wasn't the only one having issues on hitting the damned beast. Though, hopefully things would improve for each of them. Lex's arrival resulted in a small wave, gun still in hand, before moving in for her next shot which thankfully hit this time.
"Oh finally!"

Ami could see the yeti wearing down slowly. The bright red color on its chest was indicator enough that all was not going according to plan. It just made her smile though. The faster they could eradicate these beasts, the better it was.
Silently she dove in once more to pull her glaive across the monster's arm, before running back to where Kat and Lex had placed themselves. She needed to take a breather before going back in, considering the beast was raging now and her head probably looked like a pretty good target.
"Did you find anything where you were looking?" Ami prodded quietly at Lex, keeping her eyes on the beast, and her glaive held in front of her while Lex shot.

Kat was given a hearty smile and a small wave of greeting as Lex wrapped his scarf a little tighter around his neck. Stupid cold, stupid snow. Moving into a position a little further from the Yeti's reach, he watched as Ami and a few others dealt their blows to the monster.
And he thought Yeti's were just a fairy tale.
"It's a little hard to look for a massive book when you're fighting to not be suffocated by snow, dear." The larger man teased, firing an experimental shot in the Yeti's direction.
Hmm...he'd have to aim a bit more to the right from this distance.

Aaaand now to Dakota. At least they had the thing surrounded, and while its attacks looked a little lethal, it at least only seemed able to concentrate on one at a time. Taking the opportunity while the yeti was distracted with Dakota, Stormy swung her sword and finally landed a nice hit - though she quickly backed away because being yeti bait was not a fun thing to be okay.
"Maybe it smells the females on you?" she said to Dakota, which was apparently her version of a joke.

:Come on, put some effort into your attacks!: Stop nagging alright? Geez.. I am trying here. :Not hard enough.: Ugh.. Fine, so Xedis wasn't going to get off her back unless she preformed a better shot then her previous one. The only way she could be sure to get a decent shot in, was to move in closer. Not something she preferred to do, what with the Yeti flailing its arms about. Alright, get in close, and then back off. With the snow beast concentration on Dakota, Kat took this as a green light to approach the creature, long enough to unleash her attack.
Luckily, choosing to move in for a point blank shot proved to be a greater success than she had hoped, and with that done, it was time to back on out of there and back to Ami's and Lex's side. "A little too close for comfort on that.. Lets not do it again."
