Nodding to her, Shun went into his room with her so that they could get some rest for the night. It had been quite a long day to say in the least. Tomorrow was probably going to be a long one too. It was best that they try and get what sleep that they could.
The reaper would have liked to take some time to meditate on everything, but instead, went to bed. He had some trouble falling asleep, given the things going on through his mind. Eventually though, he did manage to sleep. Before too long, the morning had come. It was then that he took some time to try and clear his mind, sitting at the edge of the bed with his eye closed.

Once Mitsu had made herself comfortable beside Shun for the night it took her a long while to find any rest. Being in a new place, in a different bed, with new and strange noises going on outside wasn't exactly relaxing. Plus there was that haunting feeling Shun's father would suddenly walk in and do something terrible. Once or twice during the night she shot up out of bed thinking she had heard footsteps coming in their direction only to find there was no one really there. It was just her imagination getting away with her.
When morning came Mitsu was tired from the night and laid in bed with her eyes closed without really sleeping. She could feel Shun moving around and shifting so that he was sitting on the edge of the bed. For the time being she stayed where she was listening to the sounds of his breathing curious about what he was doing.

Shun's breathing was slow as he meditate at the edge of the bed. He hadn't wanted to disturb Mitsu so he remained where he was for some time. Given how he was a fairly light sleeper, he knew that she hadn't managed to rest all too easy during the night either.
After awhile, he did manage to clear his head some. There were still troubles within him, but he felt calmer and more at ease. Slowly, he opened his eye, then turned to give his lycan a soft kiss upon her forehead. It was then that he scooted off the bed to go check what was in the fridge so that something might be able to be done about breakfast. It wasn't necessary, but with what was ahead, he figured it would be good to eat just to help prevent feelings of hunger bothering him later.
There was some lil oink bacon and corvidus eggs. Good enough. He just began to cook those.

Shun didn't want to disturb Mitsu and the lycan's thoughts were along the same line. She laid in bed quietly just listening and relaxing waiting for Shun to do something. He sat there for a long while so she figured he must be thinking or meditating. No doubt it was about the decision he had to make. What kind of life was he going to choose for them?
Feeling the press of his lips against her forehead Mitsu remained still until Shun was out of the room. It was only then that she opened her eyes and turned her head to look at the door he had left out of. Worry was still prominent in her mind but there was nothing more she could voice. What else was there left to say?
After a time Mitsu could smell and hear food cooking and finally she dragged herself from bed and made her way to the kitchen. It looked like Shun was cooking eggs and bacon for himself and she stood off to the side quietly watching, keeping a distance so that she didn't get popped by the grease from the pork.

It didn't take long for him to finish cooking, and by then Mitsu had come out of bed as well. He cast her a glance silently, then grabbed an extra plate to split the food in half. While he also grabbed a fork, he offered her one while wondering if there was anything going through her mind.
No doubt she was still worried about what was to come.

Mitsu really wasn't hungry, not with the way her stomach was doing flips. She really just wanted this all to be over with but instead she was left anxiously awaiting Shun's decision. So for the time being she took the offered plate anyway, looking over the food before glancing up at her reaper.
'Thank you.' She freed one hand so that she could touch her chin and bring her hand downward to sign her thanks before she took her food to bar counter and had a seat. After she was settled she commenced in a staring contest with her food. Likely it was winning.

After she had taken the plate, he went to sit down beside her, slowly eating his own breakfast. It wasn't hard for him to see that she wasn't really eating either. Shun would have asked how she was feeling, but he had an idea of what the answer would be.
Worried.
"This will work out.." he said quietly while poking his egg with a fork.

There were a thousand things Mitsu wanted to say in that moment. How could he be so sure? Was this really what he wanted for himself? For them as a family? Did he really see this as a future worth having? Did he not see the danger added on to the dangers they already faced.
Instead she simply said. "If you say so..." The only thing she could do was trust his judgement.

Shun furrowed his brow at that, but then nodded. To him, he felt that he couldn't completely break away from this. He had a feeling that if he really tried to, his father may do something to strong arm him into things. That could... mean a number of different things for what may happen. If he was going to choose this, he wanted to make sure it was on his own will, and not being coerced into it otherwise.
"I'm sure of it," he said more firmly.

Mitsu couldn't bring herself to say anything else but instead simply nodded. She wasn't entirely convinced everything would work out just fine but no matter what path they took there were likely to be struggles.
Still in a staring contest with her food Mitsu finally picked up her plate and scooted what she had onto Shun's. "You have a big day you should eat well. I'll get something later when I'm hungry." With her plate empty she quickly got up and placed it in the sink. "I..think I will take a shower.." It was the only thing she could think of that might help to calm her nerves.

Furrowing his brow, Shun looked up as she scooped her food onto his. Quietly, he nodded to her in understanding.
"Alright," he uttered softly. Heaving a breath, he looked down at the food at his plate and continued to slowly eat. He was in no rush to finish his meal. The follow up with the older Kuroda was not for a little while.

With a slow nod Mitsu left Shun with his food and retreated back to the bedroom where her things were kept. After gathering up a fresh set of clothes and some bath supplies Mitsu was off to find the shower. It took her a moment to find it. On top of not being familiar with this living space it was fairly large for what one would probably consider an apartment.
Despite the oriental nature that dominated the rest of the living space the bathroom was still very western in nature with only a few decorative items to key it in with the rest of the apartment. Stepping inside Mitsu closed the door behind herself and gently pressed the lock into place. Once it clicked to let her know it was set she busied herself with getting the shower ready, setting her things on the counter out of the way.
The water ran hot to the touch, far hotter than Mitsu usually liked but she climbed into the shower none the less clothes and all and started to cry almost instantly. She loved Shun, she truly did, but she did not want this life. There was no place for her in it and the further Shun submerged himself in this business the more likely she was to lose him. It wasn't just the fear that he would be captured or killed or might lose himself to anger and blood lust. Those were still very real but Mitsu understood this business took a very different mind set to be apart of and if Shun got stuck in that mindset would it be possible they would start to lose touch? That they would grow apart and become so different they could no longer connect? She didn't want to lose him, not after she had just found him.
Looking to the ring on her left hand Mitsu brought it close, clutching her hand to her chest as she sank to the bottom of the shower, allowing the hot water to stream down her back leaving her clothes completely soaked. Mitsu knew she would stay by Shun's side forever and always or until he no longer wanted her around. She could only hope he wouldn't start to believe everything his father said.
A long time passed and when Mitsu finally emerged from the shower she had on fresh clothes and her towel was draped over her shoulders. She used the ends of it to pat away some of the remaining drips of water from her hair as she slowly made her way back out to the main room. Her previous clothes were left hanging by the sink to dry for now.

While Mitsu was off in the shower, Shun stood by the window for some time, staring down at the street below. While he had meditated earlier, there were still definitely concerns going on through his mind. In part, he was worried that his lycan would end up leaving him. She said that she would stand by his side no matter what, but there was still a grain of concern.
They came from very different backgrounds. Just as he didn't feel like he could really be suited anywhere else, no doubt she felt the same in the opposite manner. Feeling a sort of heaviness in his chest, he moved over to sit on the couch, leaning heavily over his knees. Idly, he ran his fingers over the grooves on the ring he wore on his left hand, fiddling with it as he brooded there silently.
He closed his good eye, taking in a deep breath. No, he was still certain of the path, but it wasn't going to be easy. Not for him. Not for them. Then again, each of the choices had their own set of trials. The Reaper just hoped that she wouldn't end up resenting him for what was to come.
It wasn't until he heard the door to the bathroom open up that his eye reopened. Straightening up, he turned around.
"You were in there for quite awhile," he commented.

At Shun's comment Mitsu nodded, her eyes drifting to the floor. "I just wanted some time to relax....sorry to keep you waiting."
Continuing to dry her hair Mitsu made her way over and had a seat on the couch next to Shun.
"So..what now?" Mitsu had no idea what order things were supposed to proceed today.

Shun shook his head at that, "No, you don't have to worry. I've just... been thinking is all."
While she was drying her hair, he let out a breath, then shifted to rest his head upon her lap for now.
"We still have some time before the meeting... We could stay here or go around the city for a short while. It doesn't matter to me what we do."
A part of him felt like they should remain inside so that they could continue to try and relax, but getting out and walking may not be so bad either.
