"You ask why do I not talk much?"_______←« _____ ←« ____ ←« ___ ←« __ ←« _____"...Because there is nothing to say."Rath ------------ As the curtain was drawn back, Rath stared out into nothing with chin held high and expression bare. He stayed back far enough so that none of the crowd would be able to see his back; those scars were the last thing they wanted to be reminded of. Mostly, he just wanted to get this over with and get back to work.
Just then, a gust of wind blew through, sweeping his hair and bandanna majestically as if in a dance. Rath shut his eyes to shield them and slightly lowered his head. His chest began to glisten as the sun beamed down upon the stage. He just became the must ******** sekushii thing in the auction bitches.

Well hey! This little swordmistress had been hanging around Eyris for quite some time. Not that anybody actually minded the little nomad being able to wander around. She WAS free to do so after all....as long as she returned in a couple of days. Actually to be honest, she was here with her chiefy, Songhua! They decided to stick around for a few days and see what was going on, Kalilah just decided to hang around and be his body guard of course.
But hey! While she was here, there was a bidding war of...dates? Something about winning a date? Ooo, this might be fun!
They got there just in time to see Rath on stage and whaddya know! Someone already piping bid three thousand gold! Kalilah let out a small 'Myeh!?" Cause...that was a sudden jump in numbers!
"Four thousand!!" She pouted, shouting at the top of her lungs..just to realize, she probably should have asked chiefy if it was okay to even bid such an extremely high number. She turned, looking at Songhua with puppy dog eyes, the word 'oopsie' written all over her face.

Well, Songhua didn't really understand this strange custom, but it seemed like fun! When Kalilah shouted out, Songhua laughed and patted her harshly on the back. "Hwa ha! Well met, Kalilah! We should participate in our friend's strange events!" He turned and raised his hand high in the air. "Four thousand, five hundred!"
He didn't realize he had just bid against Kalilah.

The nagini gave a small chuckle at her competition. Judging by their unique garbs, they were from Adliana. The pair vaguely looked familiar from a long time ago. So word of this auction had reached outside the borders, my my we seem to have out done ourselves with advertising. Aruna mentally patted herself on the back taking credit for well word traveled.
"Let's make this more interesting. Six thousand for Sparkles there."

No no! Chiefy you're not suppose to bid against your friend!
She pouted some more and stamped her feet to the ground and flailed her arms at Songhua "CHIEFY!!" but of course, before she could say anymore, the same person had bumped the bidding again...this time to six thousand. Kalilah stared at her then at the stage. "Seven thousand!" Victory will be hers! Even if it meant using up all her savings...

When Rath entered on stage, the paladin couldn't help but noticed how uncomfortable he was, despite how he made some of the women screamed. How Rath was unable to persuade James to take him off the auction after the king announced his... "volunteer" to the auction? She wasn't sure, but she did feel sorry for him.
The Dame Knight listened when Aruna made a bid. Three thousands for the nomad. That was a pretty big jump to start. Just then, she heard an unfamiliar voice shouted, followed by another masculine voice.
Turning her attention around, Isadora saw two new people entered the auction. Judging by the outfits, they must be Adlians. She was unfamiliar by the girl, but she recognized the man as one of the Aldians who helped them seize Eyris back a year ago. It must be Chief Songhua. So that must mean that the girl must be one of his subordinates.
Isadora admitted that she was surprised to see them in the auction. For a moment, she thought that they would be disappointed of either Rath or the auctioneer since some people (like Lethe and Innes) viewed the auction as slave trading and she was aware of Adlian's history a bit. However, it seemed that these two were casually amuse by the event. Curious about those two, Isadora strolled over to them.
"Hello Chief Songhua. I don't know if you're familiar with me, but we once fought together to reclaim Eyris from Mordacheans and Sentrians a year ago. My name is Isadora and may I ask who's your friend over there?" Isadora greeted the two. It was at the same time that the girl shouted out her bid. Seven thousand? Did Nomads have that amount of gold in their country? She thought they traded items for good items. Perhaps she should learn more about Adliana.
"Oh dear... I didn't know Adliana is a rich country. Are you sure you're able to afford Rath?"

Oh, my. Marina had sat towards the back in the shadow of a conveniently placed banner, biding her time for the right moment.
Her moment had come. She stood up, raised her hand, displayed that swagger like she didn't even care--
"Ten thousand."

Judging by the pouting and flailing coming from the other bidders' direction, Aruna assumed she was up against a small child and her father or uncle. The magenta hostess let out a soft sigh. She couldn't see Rath enjoying his time with such an immature girl even if they did have similar cultures.
A new voice rang out raising the bidding considerably. The snake woman was a bit taken back by the amount. Of course she figured the guild's vice captain would sell for quite some coin, but she didn't think it'd come to this so quickly. Doing some calculations in her head, Aruna's resolve didn't waiver. She had a special agenda for the nomad all planned out.
"Make it twelve thousand."

And some snake was gonna come by and sneak him out? Not very likely.
"Fifteen thousand."

She would bite her lower lip except Aruna wouldn't dare pierce her luscious lips with her fangs. This moment was very frustrating for her. How the heck did her opponent get so much money?! "T-Twenty five thousand five hundred!"

Marina was checking her nails like nothing even bothered her. It did always pay to be frugal.
"Twenty-seven thousand."
