"Really? It would make sense though. We do sleep in pods for a long time so it must bring out some of our longer lasting genes." She hesitated before flipping her hair over her shoulder and giving him a wink. "Though I was gorgeous before pods enhanced it!"
She thought of the men she knew and ones she had met. Yep, everyone had been handsome as well as the girls being beautiful in very many ways. So many ways. All though she seemed to have been more attracted to the smaller male hunters, it didn't diminish their qualities in any way. Nor their character personalities.
She was reaching for her card and was just about to pull it out when she saw the flash of his and it disappearing into the waitress. With a laugh, she just shook her head. "This was my date for you Otto, you didn't need to pay. But thank you anyways." She hesitated, "Was I that obvious?" It must've been the yawn. "I'd like to stop by the gift shop if you don't mind, so I can grab a gift to commerate the day I got to go on a date with Otto the Death hunter..." She joked..kinda. She really did want something from the gift shop for remembering this date....
And the giant stuffed penguins.
"But afterwards, I'd love to go home. I think food as moved into time for a nap..." Another hesitation as the waitress came back and returned the card to Otto with his recepit before wishing them well. And what a shame that they didn't share a romantic dessert.
"I'll try not to crash halfway there okay?" She yawned again, sliding out of her booth and holding her hand out for him.

Otto gave Nevada a flat look. "Ain't much fer modesty, huh?" Not that he didn't agree; she was good looking. Otto shrugged. He didn't mind getting spoiled, but it was a date after all. He felt the need to contribute. Otto took back his card and got up, taking Nevada's hand again as they left. "Ya better not. I might just drag yer a** back in a wagon if ya do." Or worse, not at all. But maybe he wasn't that mean. The gift shop wasn't too far off, thankfully. Otto needed to get her a penguin plushie as a gift, because he said he would. "What were you plannin' on gettin'?" He was already on the look out.

"Modesty is just one step from being humble and weak." She grinned, "And you're right, I am neither."
"Oh a wagon ride back would just be the perfect end to a date Otto." She chuckled as they headed towards the gift shop, thankful it wasn't like the maze of the aquarium.
"Something..." She said as she eyed the shelves and all they held. Hands trailed over figurnes, shirts, postcards before settling on a necklace thats was made with a double tied link and a small orca whale placed in the middle.
It was a silly gift, the only one she chose and paid for it. Her eyes immediatly falling on the large plush sea animals and shaking her head. Gosh they were all so cute. Once the purchase was made, she smiled and held the small wrapped bag out to Otto.
"My thanks for coming with me tonight."

As Nevada wandered the aisles to find a gift, Otto did too. He wasn't exactly hiding the fact he was buying her a gift. He said he would, after all. Or he thought he did. Either way, she was getting a penguin. Once paid for, it seemed she had bought him something too. His brows rose, taking the small bag from her carefully. "Thanks..." A peek inside found it was a rather touristy in style. But whatever. Otto liked wearing jewelry. "Oh.. here." Otto held out a small plushie of a penguin, a little blue ribbon tied around its neck. "Same deal.. thanks for the day out." And for not treating him like a little brother; he had about five other girls who did that already.

The exchange of gifts only delighted the mist huntress, cuddling the soft plush in her arms and sighed. This was truly and honestly a very happy date for her.
She waited until they were back on dues before surprising herself.
"Otto, Do you mind if I kiss you?" It was polite request in the lighthouse, before they returned to their normal hunter lives. It wasn't a test, or anything. A general curiousity she wondered about since this whole date had started.
The plush remained in her arms as she looked at him. "Or we could nap instead?"

Back to Deus. It was kind of dreary to come back to the island after a day out in such a normal setting. Island life meant work and suffering after all. With a dash of crazy. Nevada's question took a double take until Otto realized it had been directed at him. He indeed heard that right. He blinked and gave the girl a glance.
"Uuuh.. no. I don't mind." He had little to no mind about girls kissing him, really. And hey, she asked. Naps were well and good, but he could take those any damn time. And did he ever.
Since she'd made it clear she wanted a kiss anyway, Otto did one step better. He leaned forward, giving the girl a kiss straight on the lips first. He did it without much hesitation, despite not having initiated a kiss on his own in a long time. It was rather liberating, actually.

"Is that a yes to both then?" Oh that meant a score indeed. Maybe a kiss and a nap. She was about to lean forward when he totally went in for the kill.
Literally. Her mind shut down for just a second as she was surprised by his boldness. Of course, moments of Lex and Roland whispered by, but she shut them down before they even tinted at her mind.
Instead, her hand left the plush and she cupped his cheek, closing her eyes just for a moment. Her cheeks flushing with a rosy tint when she pulled back.
Well.
"Well...." She smiled and sighed happily. "Well Otto." Speechless was all she could really get out. "Most defenitly not a little brother to me Handsome~"

Now that was a real kiss. Not a cute peck from Candace in a platonic way kind of kiss. Maybe this romance stuff wasn't so dumb after all. It made his skin tingle.
He pulled away as she did, watching her curiously as she seemed to be at a loss for words (score). Best of all, her words were music to his ears once she found them. A wide and handsome smile pulled across his features. "Score." He mused coyly, offering a hand to lead her back to the main buildings and away from the lighthouse.
One girl now didn't see him as a little brother.
Otto won the day.

Yes Otto, one girl who would probably never see you as a brother.
But it could be considerable that maybe Nevada won the day because Plush, date, Nap and a kiss. Four for one.
And that smile. Did it do something to her heart because it was fluttering widely inher chest. Her hand slid into that famaliar warmth and she shook her head. She was probably over thinking this all.
It was hard not too.
She laughed at him, sincerely laughed at his amazingness. "Otto, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship." And she let him lead her back to the main buildings.
