Sophie gave a nod to the other undead who had addressed her. "Yeah. I was the one asking a lot of questions," she replied with a small laugh. "I really liked that class, though. You are one of Cricket's special students, yes?" She asked with a dreamy sigh. It must be wonderful.
"I've only just started learning. But hopefully I'll get better over time."
She caught Alex's attention and gave a smile, mouthing a 'you too'. SE wasn't as worried as she probably should be, especially considering it as a dragon they were up against. But they had professors with them and students that seemed strong enough that this might not be a complete disaster.

Why was she stalling? Red clenched her jaw, her fingers curling into fists. She knew what was to come, and yet --
She closed her eyes and inhaled, quietly counting to ten before letting it go. At her sides her fingers relaxed and uncurled. She could do this, she could do this. How many of them were watching? How many of them suspected, or even knew? How many of them were watching her closely, waiting for the moment? She could only hope that they would understand. With luck she would do as she asked and --
Stop it, she told herself fiercely. This wasn't a time to linger. The longer she waited, the more likely she would falter. Freeze it all, she was a Jack-damned professor. She had to cross that boundary, she had to take the risk. A memory was nudged toward her. Tension left her shoulders as she looked skyward, her serious expression softening into a grin. "That's right," she laughed quietly. "I'm a Defender, aren't I? This... This is part of the job." She took a deep breath and held it, throwing her hood off in the process. Red flexed her fingers one last time before her defenses were swept aside by the torrent of whispers only she could hear.
While the students watching her weren't able to hear her, they were able to watch what happened next. It was as if a wind billowed out her cloak. The teacher hunched over, her black suit quickly replaced with white fur. Red's familiar white werewolf form was almost lost in the snow if not for the vivid white cloak that was wrapped around her shoulders, marking her location.
The cloak seemed to ripple and twist, snapping swiftly into the shape of wings that began to blacken. The corruption flowed down her shoulders, the teacher arching her back and snapping her jaws at nothing as a row of jagged red spikes jutted out from her back, followed by rows of black spikes on her arms. A pair of black horns rose and curled back from her temples as her fur swiftly became corrupted by black, her size increasing. As she grew to a behemoth's size cracks appeared on her form, swiftly filling with an eerie red glow.
At last she seemed to stop. The gigantic teacher raised a massive paw and seemed to tear a swirling Insanity portal into the air which she climbed through.
There was silence. Ten seconds passed. Fifteen. Thirty. A loud roar could be heard as a giant mass of wispy grays descended from the skies, landing with a loud CRASH! that sent up flurries. When the snow cleared, it looked like the behemoth that was their teacher was wrestling with a dragon made out of fog. The runes on her blazed brightly as the behemoth known as Red struggled to pin and hold the draconic shaped fog in place, exchanging a slash from him with a bite and cleave from her.
Also? The battle has begun! You can stick to Red's plan, or deviate from it. This is an ORP battle meaning there are no turn restrictions or post orders, save for the limits some roles have.
Blade_Kuroda
Jericho:
Jericho starts the battle with -15 HP. Having Red haul him from Deus Ex to Christmasland then landing on him didn't do him any wonders. For now, Jericho is considered "stunned" until you move with him, meaning anyone can make first post to kick this battle off. Or peace conference/powwow/whatever happens in RP.
Starting Stats: HP: 85/100 Modifier to Hit: -10 Fears: Yes
Moveset:
Struggle: Jericho can attempt to throw off the grappling hooks that are on him, once the Grapplers have thrown any onto him. To do so, Jericho will roll 6d20. The number of dice represents which grappling hook is affected:
1. Captain: Riley 2. Roch - Shadow Step. Does not affect grappling. 3. Pokerus - Can use draconic strength. Pokerus gains +2 to grappling checks vs Jericho. 4. Alexander - Death grip, can hang on longer. Alex gains +2 to grappling checks vs Jericho. 5. Marosa - Touching him can make the toucher become addicted to touching Marosa. Only affects Jericho if he ICly touches him. 6. Sharra
Let's say Jericho rolls 2, 15, 9, 9, 19, 8. Riley would need to beat 2, Roch needs to beat 15, Pokerus needs to beat 9, etc etc.
Let's say Pokerus rolls 8. Because of her natural ability, she gains +2 to the grappling check, resulting in 10. She would hold on, and that hook would not be removed.
For every hook in Jericho, the accuracy modifier everyone rolls to hit him will be lowered. This will start at -10. If all grapplers hit him AND manage to hold him, this means everyone will just have to -4 from their total to hit him. YEAH TEAMWORK!
In the event of a tie, Grappler wins. If a grappler has not rolled within 24 hours of Jericho rolling, then Jericho wins and his modifier rises as his grappler is no longer grappling.
Flame Breath: Yes, Jericho breathes Insanity fire. No, Red is not holding his mouth shut since she's too busy preventing him from flying/striking with his wings/holding him in place as best as she can.
Roll 2d12. The damage done affects the three posters BEFORE Blade's post. -6 accuracy as normal.
Tail Sweep: Jericho has a tail. It is a nice, sweepy tail that can knock people down. This works just like Flame Breath, except it affects the next THREE posters after Jericho.
Note on Double Posting: If the same person posts twice in a row and is caught in either Flame Breath or Tail Sweep, they will take double damage.
Ice Queen
As Roch has the shadow step natural ability, all attacks vs Roch will be -7 instead of -6. Roch can only do this three times this entire battle.
Fear: Jericho can use his Fear attacks. These are single-target abilities. Treat as normal Fears. Jericho does not need to flame breath/tail sweep three people successfully in order to use them; he can use them whenever he likes.
demon_pachabel
Shehk's Vial: If/when splashed by Shehk, Jericho will remember who he is. He will remember everything up to that point: going Insane, destroying Hunter houses and leaving them homeless, being sat on by Red, etc etc. It is up to Blade what happens here, however it will last only for three of Blade's posts.
Draconic Rampage: If there are no grapplers pinning Jericho down, Jericho can roll 1d20 vs Red. If he beats her, Jericho escapes Red's hold and can rampage freely. His modifier will then become -15.
Yes, the Grapplers have changed to whether or not you're currently grappling as the other version was too confusing. XD Let's say I'm Alexander next. This is what my post would look like. Let's say Alex rolls 3 and 5.
Thanks to Faux Riley, Jericho's accuracy is -9. 8-9 is -1. This is what the post would look like:
Quote:
GRAPPLER
ohai this is where an rp post would go if i was making one ok
Name: Faux Alexander HP: 60/60 Grappling Tries: 4/5 Damage: 1
At this point Alexander can try again until he hits, or his grappling hook/rope breaks.
Tries: Every grappler can try five times before their rope/grappling hook breaks. When it breaks, a grappler can become a scrapper. Also if your rope breaks, quote Marushii to let her know. Who knows? There might be a way to keep grappling...
Keeping a Grip: Jericho can sometimes Struggle. When this happens, Blade will roll 6d20.
6. Sharra
ie, first dice is vs Riley, second is vs Roch, etc. When this happens, all grapplers must roll 1d20 against him. If the grappler wins, they are still grappling. If Jericho wins, his modifier rises. If a grappler does not roll vs him within 24 hours, it is assumed that Jericho wins. Grapplers win in the event of a tie.

Seussi
Due to Pokerus and Alexander's natural abilities, they get a bonus when rolling against Jericho. Add +2 to your rolls vs Jericho. ie, Pokerus rolls 11; it is actually 13.
Tips: + Someone with The Eye might want to throw it on a Grappler. It might help.
+ Grapplers CAN use their Fear... before they grapple. If they use their Fear or take any other action, they are no longer grappling, and as such the modifier will change.
+ It might be best to have the more experienced/higher yeared Students make a move first to give the other grapplers an easier time grappling.
To Heal: Roll 3d8. The total is the amount healed. You can only use this five times.
Extending Heals: If after you've healed five times, the bell breaks. You can continue to heal at the cost of your own HP. To heal, roll 3d8 again AND subtract 10 HP from your total HP value. You can do this until you have 10 or less HP.
Tips: + Dissipation occurs at -10, not 0.
+ Do not let Jericho or Red hit 0 HP.
+ You CAN use your Fears and/or attack.
+ Characters that have posted twice in a row AND have been hit by either Jericho's Flame Breath or Tail Sweep attack will take double damage. See the "Important Tips for All" below for additional information.
To Infuse: Roll your attack dice. Modifier will be the total given by the grapplers. Please note the "damage" in "amount infused/damage," then add it to the "infusion total."
ie, let's say an infuser hit Jericho for a total of 3. I hit him for 4. The total will now be 7.
Tips: + Keep an eye on the grapplers' posts. These posts will tell you Jericho's current modifier. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use the latest modifier! If you are confused, it is best to wait for someone to post the latest value.
+ Use your standard attack dice to infuse. For Y1 students, it's 2d6 or two 6-sided dice. Subtract the current modifier. The result is the amount you infused.
+ When you are out of ammo, you can become a scrapper.
Scrappers
Please use this when posting:
SCRAPPER
*** RP POST HERE ***
Name: HP: Damage:
To Attack: Roll your standard attack dice. Use the modifier supplied by grapplers.
Tips: + Don't die.
+ Use your Fears.
+ Don't post twice in a row. Space them out, give other RPers a chance to throw in some hits too and to give Blade a chance to respond.
+ Really, REALLY don't post twice in a row. Anyone posting twice in a row that gets hit by one of Jericho's attacks will take double damage..
Important Tips for All: + Don't die. Death occurs at -10 HP, not 0 HP.
+ If your character dies, please quote Marushii and notify her of your character's temporary demise. You will be given instructions as to what to do next.
+ Don't post twice in a row. Jericho can and will HURT. Check out the spoiler for additional information.
+ Characters that have posted twice in a row AND have been hit by either Jericho's Flame Breath or Tail Sweep attack will take double damage. Let's say this is the post order:
- Bob - Bob - Sarah - Sam - Jericho attacks with Flame Breath! He rolls 2d12 and gets 5,7. 12-6 = 6 for those hit.
Flame breath would hit Bob, Sara, and Sam. Sarah and Sam take 6 damage, however as Bob posted twice he would get hit for 12. Ouch!
Let's say this happens:
- Bob - Jericho attacks with Tail Sweep! He rolls 2d12 and gets 3, 12. 15-6 = 9 for those hit. - Sarah - Sarah - Sam - Charles
In this case, tail sweep hits Sarah, Sarah, and Sam. Sarah is hit for 18, Sam for 9. But wait! Sarah gets double-damage. She actually takes 36 damage. It is in your best interest to space your posts out.
+ If you are confused and/or have questions, please don't hesitate to let me, Marushii know~
Roch stared at the two fighting for a second, then started swinging his grappling hook. He was glad he was wearing half gloves, he thought. Hopefully it would keep the jackin' smell of peppermint from getting on his hands.
He kept his eyes on the dragon, forcing himself to forget that it was Jericho--and just think of it as another target to deal with. "C'mon, he's a lot bigger than a can, y'can do this," he muttered to himself. Then he let the grappling hook fly. It hooked onto the dragon and Roch grabbed on tight to the rope.
Red now had a very unhappy dragon in her hands. They had been happily rampaging along the island when this behemoth came out of nowhere and slammed him into some other strange place. A thunderous roar boomed out as they struggled against being pinned down.
Pretty soon, they were aware that it wasn't just the big beast that they had on their hands as some sort of hook latched onto him to help keep him down.
The dragon began to thrash about. Their tail lashed across the ground in a furious manner.

(Responding to everyone late sorry XD )
She resisted the urge to burn the papers immediately. Even if the thin fibers between her fingers started to smoke once they were grasped, they did not burst into flames like her mind craved for them to. How dare the werewolf even suggest that she would not make it back, after JUST learning that she was indeed alive? The thought tasted sour in her mouth, her hands clasping the papers a little too tightly. The only word, almost a whisper, that stilled her from her next actions and words was that single word. A single 'please' and her mouth closed, the smoking papers stopped, she took a step back and stayed quiet. Red was in the end, quite possibly her only friend. TRUE friend. Someone that actually understood her, didn't judge her, and ******** hell Pyre listened to the werewolf's commands and wishes even now. All these years later, since she was the leader of the defenders in their school days. Maybe the Phoenix was a fool, maybe she actually cared. Red would not have said please unless she meant it.
Looking towards the papers she carefully folded them a few times, not reading them. It was then she realized she was wearing her tattered skirt, which held no pockets. Not even waiting a moment later, she gently placed the papers into her top. Bra's had another reason or two, ok.
Briefly she also noticed that someone else had addressed her, side glancing at her Pyre realized she knew this one. Sammy, she remembered seeing her once or twice in her little 'maze' a long while ago. She looked different, or maybe Pyre had just stopped paying attention to the kids growing up. Though there was one thing for certain. If the little ghoul thought she was good with Orders, the bone armed young lady had a hard lesson to learn. Narrowing her eyes, she placed her hands on her hips, gave the other all of her attention, and stared down at her. "Just stay out of my way." The threat was there under her tone, heavily implied. She hoped others would hear it as well, and not be stupid enough to not understand.
The message was: If you dont want to be in the oven, dont interupt the phoenix.
Crossing her arms she turned her back to the group, and she waited. More because the directions were given, not because Sammy told her to wait. She was not there to be helpful, really. Just a coincidence of being in the right place at the right time, and a opportunity to let loose a little. Bonus was, she was helping a student out apparently with this little mission. The phoenix was a b***h, no doubt about that, but deep down she did want to help. In her own way. She would never say so, though.
Seeing Red go into her Werewolf form was not surprising, she had seen it many times before. Seeing Red turn into something even.... LESS of herself, something gargantuan, now that at least had earned her attention. She had heard rumors of this form, students walking around with oddly shaped pieces of bone in the beginning. It was enough to make her not believe red was whatever they had brought home as trophys, but now she saw she was wrong. Really wrong.
What happened to you. She stared back in awe as she realized now that her form now mimic'd her own true forms size. They would be on even footing if this ever happened, but what price has Red paid?
The tails from the dragon had lashed out before she really had a chance to move, the scales catching her and grazing her leg before she was able to take flight.

GRAPPLER
There was a solid moment of just waiting. Red seemed to be holding out for something, some moment of change, a turning point, but it never came. She began to shift, and Riley knew almost immediately that she was going to actually, physically, drag Jericho herself. A sense of respect for the teacher began to spark in Riley's bosom, but it was hampered by the obvious signs of Insanity that began to show on the giant form growing before them all. Red wasn't just changing into her natural form, she was changing into an Insanity monster.
And as far as Riley knew, there was no easy method of coming back from that.
The grapple swung nervously in her arms, and she held her breath as the monster that was Red disappeared. Would the woman even remember what her goal was, lost in that other world, in that other form? Or would they be left alone to wonder what had happened, as Red charged off to join Jericho-
Her answer came far too soon.
The sight of the Insanity dragon was overwhelming. She couldn't place exactly why it hurt so much to see him like this, except that she knew exactly what it felt like, and it terrified her. She heard the whistle of Roch's grappling hook at her side, and it shocked her out of her stupor, forcing her to wind her grapple up and whip it around a few times for power, before chucking it forward just as the giant tail swerved over her, catching her with its heavy weight. She didn't budge, letting the sting of pain flow through her until it ebbed.
It landed right through both creatures, and when she tugged it, she felt a solid, thick hold. She could only imagine what, exactly, it was holding on to.
Jericho.
She realized this was a mistake. She knew calling out to the monster before they'd infused him was just asking for trouble, but something inside of her couldn't help it. Something unknown and powerful was forcing her to try, to reach out, to touch him. Jericho, return to me. She demanded, as if the force of her will was enough to turn him back into the dragon that she'd once, not so long ago, shared a bond so deep she still felt it now.
Sharra had taken up his position, bracing himself for the shift into battle. He'd glanced over to Riley, giving a stern nod and a bit of a salute to the mindflayer at the time, echoing the motion to the fey boil as Marosa sought his eyes. Ah Jack help them, but this battle held some very real stakes, not all of which was the Nergal comfortable with on any level.
When Red transformed, Sharra hadn't been quite prepared for it. He'd seen this form of hers before, and it made sense that...of all situations, she would choose to use it here. Taking a step back to brace himself, the Nergal's eyes narrowed in concentration...and then he took two steps forward, trying to remain in a semblance of formation with his other grapplers, and he spun the rope, launching his grappling hook towards Jericho. Grunting softly as the dragon's tail clipped him soundly, the blond boil held on tighter to the rope, putting all of his weight behind it. Dammit. This had better be successful, as for the moment the Nergal felt as though his arms were in danger of being jerked from their sockets.
There was a quick glance around to see how the rest of the team was holding up, but it was momentary. Priorities, after all.
The waiting seemed to drag on forever, and Alexander was sure that if he had a beating heart or a reason to breathe he would be positively anxious by now. As it was he just patiently waited, practicing the art of centering himself that he had learned on the War isles, keeping himself calm and focused, and ready for whatever was about to come.
When Red began to move and change, her body shifting her natural form, he did not yet feel any alarm. When that shift progressed to something more, something massive and somehow terrifying, he shifted on his feet uneasily, that calm he had so carefully gathered beginning to diminish the more he stared at the great, hulking beast that now stood before them. But he kept his ground, kept his eye steady on her and waited, and hoped that she was doing this for a reason, that she could control herself in this form and not attack them as she had done in the haunted house, and that she could come back to them again.
And then she was gone, and back again so quickly, this time with a fog consumed dragon in tow, that he barely had time to register what was happening. She had brought him here, herself. He could feel his lips beginning to twitch up into a smile.
That was so completely and utterly bad a**.
Without hesitation, Alexander began to swing his rope, trying to find a vulnerable and easy target to send his hook flying towards. There was no chance to look towards the others, to make sure that their own hooks were flying true. This needed to be done now, and it required his full concentration. He had told Riley that he would do everything he could, that he would help her get her best friend back.
He let the rope go, the hook flew through the air, and when it somehow managed to land just where he wanted he hauled back, his hands tightening around the rope with unnatural force of strength.
He had a sudden strong urge to shout out something ridiculous like 'ye-haw!' but somehow managed to refrain.

There was a voice calling out to them. Trying to demand them to return. Return where? The source seemed to come from the mindflayer on the ground. There was only home to return to. This place was not their home. The illithid was not their home. They were all threats. Threats that needed to be destroyed.
Snarling as more hooks bit into their foggy form, they inhaled sharply.
Before unleashing a torrent of insanity flames onto those pinning them down. However, thankfully for those grapplers, the hooks had moved him enough to breathe just over their heads.

MEDIC (NOT HEALING THIS POST)
A thrill of - fear? anxiety? It wasn't sure what the emotion was, but Malodore tensed as Red changed. The next thirty seconds were the edge of a knife; its wings trembled faintly behind it, feathers chiming dissonantly.
And then the sky split and spat out both Red and... The plague doctor's throat tightened unexpectedly at the sight of the dragon, its form so indistinct and yet so familiar at the same time. It hadn't truly realized until this moment how much it had missed Jericho - and that sudden rush of grief was eclipsed by a thunderbolt of anger. Those that had done this to him would pay. And they would bring him home.
Its grip on the bell tightened as it watched. "Stay vigilant," it said to its team. "Fan out so you can see everyone - keep scanning, and stay out of the way. Watch each other so you don't accidentally double-heal a single target. Buona fortuna," and that last was a whisper, the closest thing to a prayer the plague doctor had ever said.
The snow didn't bother her that much anymore, it was wet and cold yes, it made her socks soggy, yes, but ultimately she was dead and being dead made one very impartial to the temperature around you unless it involved being set on fire. She stood with the other Scrappers, and one professor who stood apart from them.
She looked at Pyre eyes flaring at the teachers threat, it was like a challenge to the ghoul, she stood a bit taller clenching her bone fist, the purple flames flickering in the fingers. Eyeing Pyre clearly irritated at the threat.
Sammy turned away though watching as Red shifted her form, not once, but twice, the familiar black and red beast from long ago, changed again it seemed slightly since she had returned as well. She looked to Pyre now and raised her bone arm as if to dare the phoenix to create a fire that could do that to her, leave her Core scared just enough that the bone never reverted quiet back to the same form.
It took a few moments, but when Red left and finally returned the world broke into chaos, Pyre was beside her as the tail lashed through the air, while the Pheonix went up, Sammy dropped down falling backwards to as the tail flashed over head. She was also quick to roll to the side as the flames followed up, but she didn't attack. Not yet.
It was a struggle for Poke to wait while Red just stood there, and she was wondering what she was going to do until she transformed into a white wolf. Ah, so she was going lure him out, that made sense. But then she began to change again, spikes growing along her back and...
....Wait. Wait wait wait wait WAIT WAS SHE REALLY-
Oooooh, s**t was getting real. The dragoness had a real sense of deja view as she had to crane her neck to even get a glimpse of the professor in her huge a** 'I will level everything' mode. Then she was gone inside a portal.
Not for long, as she was soon back with a new friend.
Poke just stood there, openly gawking at the spectacle. Two legendary creatures were duking it out on such a massive scale. She could feel the earth move under her feet as they bit, slashed and tore at each others hides. She had seen dragons fight before but this...this was nothing compared to that. It was amazing, spectacular.
The whizz of hooks being thrown through the air alerted her to the situation. s**t, she had to land a hook on that massive thing? She held her rope ready, but had to dive to the ground as a jet of blue flame burned overhead. It was moments like these when she really considered trying to learn how to breathe fire. Or water, or...something. Because jacking hell she was already wanting to smack this dragon a new one.
Getting to her feet she held her rope up once more. Most of the other grapplers had already landed theirs, so it was her turn to do her part. She swung it over her head to gain moment, and began a steady chant to herself of don't miss don't missdon'tjackingmissotherwisei'llbeinaworldofsuckage. She let the hook fly, and shouted triumphantly as it found it's mark in the red runes.
That was when she was almost pulled forward by the massive strength of both creatures. "s**t!" She pulled back, dug her feet into the ground and held on for dear life.
Clearly these fools didn't know what they were dealing with. Some of them were just standing around! The dragon snarled as another hook bit into them. Shifting against the behemoth, they inhaled once more and attempted to fry them all. Perhaps this time those blasted hooks wouldn't get in the way.
