A'in blushed a little at Narisa's smile. He turned back to the the brownrider. "No need to call me sir, M'rine. And yes, they will eventually eat all of them or more."
Hello, Belith and Aukoith. Troiseth greeted the two hatchlings. We will be taking you to the safe place and home soon enough. For once his mind was on keeping the little ones safe.

Aukoith sat up on her hind legs and warbled at Troiseth. Hello.
"I'll be keeping my name how it is," Soral told the other riders gathered around at their little site. Soral gave a shy smile and Aukoith looked to her rider proudly.

J'nes nodded to Narisa, noting her request for tents. His question about supplies for how many hadn't been answered, so he did a quick mental tally. Two weyrlings for sure, at least one or two riders to watch them - better plan on two, just in case - so supplies for four people, for, say, four days. He started calculating how much of various supplies would be needed as he turned to the Candidates who wanted to head back.
"OK, let's get you back to the weyr, then," he said to them. He helped them onto his dragon's neck and secured them into the riding straps with practiced ease. As he settled himself in, he quietly told them, "Don't get discouraged about not Impressing today. There's always more Candidates than eggs, so there's always Candidates left standing. Many Candidates never Impress their first time on the Sands. That doesn't mean you never will; I stood for years before Impressing. There will always be more clutches, so don't give up hope!"
With that he directed Hatteth to take off. The brown launched into the air, promising the nearby dragons We will be back soon! before disappearing between to the weyr.
