That color was all wrong as well. He held several fabrics up, turning them and staring closely at their color. This one looked nice. He held it up.
Kiwi's Satchel

His choice seemed acceptable. Grinning happily, Kiwi fished the five seeds from his satchel and passed them across to the booth-keepers, along with the fabric for his own scarf.
Than was legitimately a dismal failure. Leaning back after his last attempt, he pushed the fabric away from him and took a step back, a look of rather pathetic disappointment on the pup's face. Well, he should look on the bright side! He still had a sweater, and a pot, a puppy, and a flower necklace! So Spirit week hadn't done him too much wrong! Letting out a long, cleansing breath of air, the Fae-Hound turned to walk away from the booth. Then he felt a set of claws plop down on his head...

Sharra hadn't really been participating in Spirit Week much. He'd been to Student Council shenanigans before, and though the Dark Wonderland theme looked moderately inviting, the Nergal boil had a lot on his mind. He did, however, want to check out the booths, support his fellow students, the Horsemen, and people who should be, and were his friends. He'd spotted Than at the booth with the scarves...a fine-smelling establishment too, the blond demon noted, and he grinned down at the other, mustering his brightest expression. No need to really let the issues he'd been dealing with bog him down today. He was out in the sunlight for Jack's sake!
Having witnessed the last half of the smaller boil's miserable attempt at scarf-creation, he shoved a hand into his pocket. "Hey kid..." There was a soft clink, and then he was depositing silver into the Fae-Hound's palms. "take some of mine, we can both try, a'right? Then you gotta show me 'round the booths!"
At an emphatic nod from the Fae-Hound, Sharra took a step back to observe.

Than first, however, threw both arms around the demon, crushing him up against the smaller boil. "THAN THANKS YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" He trilled, having only ever met Sharra in conjunction with Aksaja before...he'd not expected the generosity, but he was certainly grateful!
Turning back around, his stubby fingers moved in a flurry of motion, once more hunting amongst the fabric for something that would complement the fabric he'd just selected.

Not even turning back to look at Sharra's face, the Fae-Hound tried again, as none of the colors he'd offered up had been met with acceptance. Bleh, and he was able to mix colors at home without difficulty! Perhaps it was the lighting?
Than had decided that he couldn't do this for beans, and was fairly certain the only reason that he was still trying, was so that Sharra wouldn't laugh at him. He wasn't sure that the boil would laught...but Than thought perhaps it might be a thing...
Sharra did have to stifle a laugh. He felt bad for the pup, but really, at this point the Fae-hound seemed to be picking random color combinations.
Stepping forward, the Nergal selected three seperate sets of color, and then offered them up for scrutiny. "Here, let me try, a'right?" There was another fond pat of Than, at that...really, the other was just a kid, and Sharra knew full well what frustration does to a body.

Ying smiled and waved as her friend Kiwi approached the booth, and although it took some time, he indeed selected a matching set of materials. "I will have this ready RIGHT away, friend!" Seeing Kiwi had certainly lifted her mood after those two rambunctious Halloween-goers.
She turned to see a doggish fellow struggling quite a bit to match things. Well it couldn't have been easy with that eyepatch after all. After a while, she just felt so bad for him that she handed him a skull scarf and said, "Ah ... free of charge ... Sorry, I know it's a little hard for the untrained eye."

Sharra rubbed fingers through tousled blond hair sheepishly as they accepted one of his color combinations. "Well, I guess I'm not too bad at this. Hey..."

When Ying handed him a scarf, the pup's tail began to beat the ground at a mile per minute. "THANK YOUUUUUUUUUS!" Reaching out and clutching it to his chest, he no longer cared what color it was, it was lovely, and soft, and it was his and all of those attempts didn't seem so terrible any longer. "Than is veryveryvery grateful!" Aaaand it wasn't hard to tell that either.
Xiu was back? Of course she was. After all, she had intended on returning after a little while in hopes that she would be able to match the threads and the cloths a little better this time. Weaving through the crowd, she anxiously hung back as she eyed the materials that were laid out.
So um...h-hm...which match with which? Did this one...? No. No, those two didn't look good together.
If there was one thing that could be said about the baku, it was that she was apparently very bad at matching the threads and the cloth. Whether it was because she was tired or if she was simply bad with colors, she didn't know. All she knew was that it was pretty obvious that she didn't have her uncle's touch when it came to matching threads with fabrics.
There really aren't. On the bright side, Xiu was helping fund the horsemen's bill for all the materials they had bought for this booth. Taking a breath, she squinted at the threads and the cloth with even more intensity.
Maybe Xiu had breathed in too many cupcake fumes. Maybe these fumes somehow affected her brain in such a way where she could not longer match colors. Maybe it was temporary, and would last only a few hours at most.
Or maybe this is made up and just an attempt to justify what in hell's name is going on.
Sweater in tow, Thackery stopped at another booth that looked like it might be of some interest to him. Scarves! None of his scarves really looked like these, but they seemed like they would be fun to wear.
There were a couple of designs that he liked from their examples (certainly not the ones that resembled Arel's scarf), but given the opportunity to create his own, he really couldn't resist.
