He flushed a bit, scratching at his hairy lip. "A little. Hey, at least I can GROW a mustache! Half the male populace here I don't think they could if they tried," He huffed a bit proudly.

His defense got a laugh out of her, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth and standing straight behind him again. "Is that so? I thought all you men were just very diligent on shaving. You have a lot of hair though." She was no longer referring to his face, the look she gave him in the mirror was proof enough.
The scissors and comb were picked up again so Candace could get to work on giving Jerry a nice trim. She'd keep it longer than last time she'd cut his hair, but she would get rid of a bit of the length. Jerry needed to look well kept, not like a hair hobo.

He tensed under the scissors, his face going red, not only from her kiss but at the amount of brown locks raining down, "N-not too much, remember! Please!" He had to trust her. She had done a good job the last time, at least. "I don't have a normal razor any more," He watched their reflection, and his expression grew a bit distant as he studied them together. "I um. will do it after we're done."

She smiled. "I know, I know. Don't you trust me~?" The news of no more normal razor surprised her. That explained why she didn't see one in the kit. Did he only have the straight one then? Strange...why the switch? Candace concentrated on Jerry's hair, completely missing the look on his face as he watched her. "Did your razor break or something?"

"No.. a um. A friend gave me this new one and I just... I like it. I've gotten better with it anyway. When I find the time." And inspiration.

"Ohhh, okay. I've never handled one of those before." She gestured to the razor before returning the scissors to Jerry's hair. "Is it better than a regular razor?" Not that she was interested in using one herself, but she was still curious.
Candace fell quiet after that, working on Jerry's hair with undivided attention. Though her thoughts did wander after awhile. This time with Jerry was nice now that he'd calmed down, and pampering him like this reminded her of the first time she'd done it. She did love Jerry even then, and still did...just not in the way he wanted. She loved him as a friend, a very dear friend who held a special place in her heart, but that was all he was to her. They'd had their chance, she'd ******** it up, but they were just better as friends than they were as a couple; they probably would have broken up eventually even if he hadn't caught her in bed with H. It was probably inevitable.
At least it'd been nice while it lasted despite their compatibility issues?
"This is actually pretty relaxing, huh?" Candace finally murmured, a small smile on her lips as she did a few final snips at Jerry's hair. She gave it a quick run through with the comb and stepped back, looking him over in the mirror. "What do you think?"

"It um. Once you get practiced with it it's um. Well, it's different." He cleared h is throat, reaching up once she had finished to give his hair a fluff. "Well it's um. Tamer?" He smiled weakly.

"Gee, try not to be so excited." Candace said in a flat voice, though she was still smiling. She's just teasing. She put the scissors and comb where they belonged and turned to perch on the edge of the counter to actually see how he looked from the front. Hm...did he really like it long? She couldn't believe it. It seemed so strange even for Jerry. "So, haircut and a shave is a good start?"

"If it means people will talk to me more," He smiled bashfully, experimentally pulling it back to see if it could still be put in a little pig tail while he was working. "You don't think it looks good?"

"Let's just say if I was a mother and you moved into my neighborhood there'd be some things you'd be required by law to inform me of." Candace shrugged. "It looks better now though. But a deal's a deal, I keep it long and you shave off the mustache." She hummed and reached out to mess with Jerry's hair again after he was done making sure it could still be tied back. "It's just...very different from how you came here, that's all." Candace tried not to front as she brushed her fingers near his temple. Did his hair always do that there...? It looked different from how she remembered.

"We've all changed," He muttered, shifting to stand and start arranging his supplies along the sink before giving his face a close examine.
He didn't mind the scruff. But if it made him look as bad as Candace was insisting... perhaps it was time to clean himself up. "So you don't think I pull off facial hair?" He seemed disappointed.

She shrugged. "Maybe one day, but while trying to get back on your feet maybe it's better to have a clean look, you know?" No, no. Don't get sad again. Not allowed today. Nope. "Once you're comfortable again and happy with your life, then you can let facial hair grow out!"

"Yeah... yeah I guess," He pursed his lips before setting about sharpening the blade and carefully arranging the lather.
It had been nice when Sasha did this for him. It had been... a dance. A sign of trust. Now the blade was in his own hand, and the question was... did he trust himself?

Candace was content to just watch for now, intrigued by the preparation that had to go through with it. "I've never actually watched anyone use one of these before except on television or in movies..." And Sweeney Todd.
She didn't mention the demon barber.
"Is it a closer shave or something?"

"You have to be a lot more precise. But I mean... I like to imagine it like a violin bow, you know?" The knife went up to his skin, piercing the lather. He liked the knife, not only because Sasha had given it to him, encouraged it, but it fit his mental image of the soldier. The tough old Colonel who had seen far too many things for far too long, taking quiet control over the matter of his daily shave. Ate and drank danger and gave no ******** about anything.
Unfortunately, most of Jerry's violin experience consisted of the occasional meeting over six months ago with Molly.
The sink was suddenly sprinkled in blood and foam with a quick, sharp, "<********>!"
