Naano gasped as he pulled her down into the hug. She honestly didn't expect it, thinking that he had been upset with her and now infatuated with Esme. Listening to his words with her head against his chest, she could hear his heart beat. And when he pulled away, Naano could see the tears in his eyes.
Soon Beatric was clinging to her, and she laughed as a few tears fell down her face. He licked them away and snuggled his face against hers. Rubbing his head she cooed "Yes, yes I know Bubba, you're excited to go sniffing for some action huh?". Her affections towards the Pokemon were easily visible, and she couldn't help but present a smile that showed off her teeth and genuine glee. Tears still streamed down her face, but she didn't know what they were for.
Then, Bubba waited patiently by the door.
"What do you mean?" she looked shockingly at him. "Isn't it my fault?". Naano had gone from town to town since Dokusei believing this. And wasn't it true? Not able to get over it, she sat there confused at all of this.
A tear fell down his face and she quickly latched onto him "Why are you crying? Let's not make a party out of this" her voice wavered as she chuckled sadly.

Naano burst out laughing as Beartic clamped his arms around the two of them. She could tell he felt bad. At Ayato's cries he finally let go, except he literally let go and caused to fall to the ground. "Oof!." Naano clutched her back as she stood up. Helping Ayato, she led him to the bed. "Well don't cry, we've got a clean slate." she smiled at him "Now, I'm going to get Esme. She was still in her PJs but didn't care. Right as she was about to leave the room, she turned and walked back to the bed. Lightly, she kissed his forehead "Thank you." and she left with Beartic.
She had, of course, gotten her grandpa's sweatshirt and placed her hood up. Her hair was still down, and it flowed out of her hoodie. Beartic growled once in a while, he wasn't all that happy with Ghost types. Naano still thought nothing of it. They were Pokemon too, there was no point of worrying about them any more than other types. As they walked, she saw Esme's red hair in the distance.
The pair eventually came upon her "Your hair's like a bright beacon, did you know that?". Naano smirked "I mean seriously, I could see you from like a mile away. That's gonna make it harder to hide you know.". Esme obviously wasn't pleased to see her, but Naano didn't care. She was doing this for Ayato wasn't she? Plus, there were no other female companions with them, and Becca was dead. There were certain things that could only be discussed with other girls. And Naano had never really gotten a chance to have any type of girly talk. Ever.
Esme's Pokemon because rigid and alert around Naano, ready to strike at any moment. She didn't let this phase her and she placed herself in front of Esme. Of course, this girl was taller than her. Looking up, she said with humor "Is there anyone in this region shorter than me? I mean really this is getting ridiculous!' Sighing, she decided to get it over with. "Listen, I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier. No, I'm not saying that you left because of me, I just wanted to apologize. Okay, well I didn't want to apologize but that's not the point." She waved her hand to the side as if shooing away a bug.
"Ayato told me you had an awkward situation where he cou-" she couldn't say it without laughing "Alright hold on, sorry". After a few minutes she finally was able to control herself. She didn't know why, but a different side of her came out around Esme. Stifling her laugh, she tried to continue "where he couldn't do something. Of course he didn't tell me everything, but he feels like that set you off. He believes that he's the reason your leaving. Whatever the reason actually is, I'm going to ask you to stay. I originally came here to say that Ayato asked you to stay, which he did, but now I'm asking." She shuffled her feet and looked at them, blushing slightly. "I think you're cool" she grudgingly muttered.

Naano stood there with her mouth agape and her brow furrowed in confusion. What the ******** was that?
Walking with Esme was actually nice, and she had to confirm her statement. Her voice came out grumbled, and she was blushing. "Yeah actually...I mean look at you!" Naano spread out her arms in acknowledgment. "You're tall, pretty, and your hair is the most amazing shade of red I've ever seen...plus, you look like a badass." Her arm fell to her side "And then there's me..." When she noticed everything she had said Naano's eyes widened and she placed her left hand in her sweatshirt pocket as her other sway in her sling. "I mean, cool enough I suppose." She huffed out, trying to not make her look weaker than her. But her cover didn't work at all...
By the time they returned to the Inn, Naano yawned loudly without covering her mouth. It mildly resembled an Eevees. She walked up to the barman, because the bar is seemingly always open, and grabbed a bottle of Dr. Pepper. Soda helped her sleep, not like she needed it though.
They walked up the stairs together and Naano opened Ayato's door "I found the red haired vixen you asked for." It was meant as a compliment, although she said it humorously. Beartic was behind Naano and pushed her into the room. She stumbled in and gave him a look. Turning to Ayato she said "And I've got your blob too". Beartic nudged her more in jest and she stuck her tongue out at him. "Don't start with me boy" she said tapping his nose.
