Chandelure was just flouting there Silently and menacingly taunting the pokemon without even doing anything and Rotom was trying to see if there were any electronics near by My pokemon came to me when they died...so yes i guess you can say Mom and Dad are their respective names he seemed a little at a disadvantage from such a powerful question "When your nincada evolves into a Ninjask make sure you have a third pokeball and you will get a great Ghost type! alright Chad? and Kadaj your pokemon will do just fine and maybe even your Pouch can beat my ghosts" He laughed then Location: Willowcove city Pokemon: Chandelure Rotom

Chad nodded, eating up all the words that the gym leader was saying since he seemed to know a thing or two about ghost types, and since he was saying that Chad could potentially have a ghost type Pokémon, it was important to listen to what he had to say. “Another Pokeball, okay got it.” Part of Chad wanted to ask what kind of Pokémon it would become, but then another part of him kind of wanted to keep it a surprise. “I’m sorry to hear that about your parents.” Chad knew what it was like to lose parents, so he could understand how much of a step forward it must have been for Dead Master to become a gym leader. Chad could only hope that was as strong, if not stronger, by the time he reached the age of Dead Master. “I think that’s awesome how they came to you, almost like they were waiting or something.” Chad began to wonder if maybe the ghost Pokémon were actually his parents ghosts. It could be plausible, but then again, Chad didn’t know anything about ghost Pokémon, so he decided to leave that to the experts.
He simply kept quiet after that point and held out his two pokeballs, causing his Pokémon to be withdrawn back into them. “Well, that’s my team. I’ll try to get at least three Pokémon before I fight the first gym leader. I heard she uses Normal type Pokémon, so maybe by then Sketch will have a move useful against them.” Chad shrugged and turned to Kadaj.

  The time he was spending with Dead Master was really exciting, mainly because it was like a piece of home was with him right there in the forest. Kadaj almost wanted to just stand up and kiss him because that’s how happy he was making him about being there. Dead Master was definitely someone to be respected, especially since he was really strong and seemed to know a thing or two about raising Pokémon. Not everyone got to be like Dead Master and obtain the title of Gym Leader. It seemed like the only way Kadaj would be able to surpass that name is to go to the Elite four and beat them before finally taking down the Champion, but odds were, Kadaj would need to fight Chad again eventually if they were in it together. “Yeah, my little dude is a dark type, I’m sure he’ll at least give you a run for your money.” Kadaj held out both of his Poke-balls in separate hands before withdrawing both of the Pokémon who seemed to be doing their own things at this point, clearly losing interest by the minute of the conversation going on, but then again, Kadaj’s Pokémon never seemed to be interested in anything Kadaj was doing.
After withdrawing his Pokémon, Kadaj stood up and dusted himself off from where he’d fallen in a startled state. He was truly grateful for the Dead Master’s appearance. “So what brings your to this place? Are you just trying to find new kinds of ghost type Pokémon?” Kadaj grinned as he walked a little bit closer to Dead Master, hoping that he could get more information out of him by simply standing closer.

It was a bit strange hearing that maybe the ghost Pokémon were like the spirits of Dead Master’s mother and father, but Chad didn’t want to question since he’d been thinking the same thing. That would be something scientists would probably fight; luckily though, Chad was no scientist. He believed in spirits and the after-life and then some. “I’ve never actually left this region, but I think if I had to go anywhere, I would go to Goldenrod City in the Johto region because I’d heard stories of my mother working there earlier in her career.” Chad smiled as he thought about his mother. It was too bad that his parents spirits didn’t come to him in the form of ghost Pokémon, although to be honest, Chad didn’t think he would be able to command them in a battle without feeling bad if they fainted or something because then it would seem like he was the reason his mother fainter. That would be a lot of pressure to put on someone.
Chad stood up a little bit after Kadaj did and decided to listen to what the Dead Master had to say about Smeargle knowing sketch. It would be a pretty useful move if used directly after an awesome attack. “Yeah, my Smeargle just knows scratch right now. Not very useful but it’s something for a weaker Pokémon.” Chad planned on fighting Kadaj again once he was able to get his Smeargle to learn another sketch so that it could learn a powerful move, or at least the most powerful that Kadaj’s Pokémon knew at the time.

Kadaj had been contemplating whether or not he should visit another region or not as well, that is, before he became a trainer anyways. Ultimately he decided to just stick to this region and try to conquer it. He didn’t have any set plans on how he was going to do that, although if he had his way, he’d probably do it hand-in-hand with Chad. Sadly though, the more time he spent with Chad, the more sure he was that Chad was straight. “Celestial tower huh? I heard about that place, pretty spooky.” Kadaj laughed as he said that for he just realized the person he was talking to. “Well, for you it’s not so spooky, but for me, I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t like ghosts appearing out of nowhere.”
Kadaj was a big scaredy-cat when it came to ghosts and all those superstitions. He could easily blame it on his childhood though since that seemed to be the big thing in the town that he had come from. It didn’t help that Dead Master seemed to enjoying scaring others with his Chandelure. “Tch, I can only imagine what kind of family you have out here. They’re probably just more ghost type Pokémon.” Kadaj turned to Chad and decided to continue. “We’ll be fighting him eventually. I’ll give you the run-down on the Pokémon he uses before we even have to match up against him. Although his party might’ve changed in the ten years I’ve been gone, but at least you’ll have an idea.”

Chad arched his eyebrow in confusion when the gym leader mentioned that training ghost Pokémon was something that was hard to do, but in reality, Chad had never said anything about it, if anything, he just thought it. “So you can read thoughts huh?” Chad found that rather amusing. It’s not like he had anything on his mind right now that was worth saying anyways. On the other hand, he was more worried for Kadaj who seemed to be somewhat unpredictable at times with what he said. God only know what’s going on in that mind of his.
Chad turned to Kadaj and decided to respond to his question now. It was just interesting learning that someone could actually read minds. “Yeah we will be fine though. We should probably keep training though if we want to become stronger.” Chad pointed to his tent, “That means we’re going to need to get some sleep.” It was getting late by now, and although the man with ghost Pokémon probably lived for the night, Chad wasn’t exactly a nocturnal person, especially when he had a big day ahead of him like tomorrow. They’d need to walk pretty far to get to Vormund City. “I’m going to go try and lay down. You two should probably do the same or something.” Chad yawned and turned to the gym leader. “Do you have a place you plan on staying at for the night?” It didn’t seem like the Gym Leader had a bag or something so Chad wasn’t sure if he planned on going to Willowcove Village and stopping in at a hotel.

Kadaj tried to memorize the name Sonne, just in case he was ever to run into him. He’d definitely have to mention meeting his uncle out here in the forest… alone. “That’s cool! I heard Black City is pretty big. I’ve only seen photos of it but then again, dude, I don’t plan on leaving this region.” Kadaj stifled a laugh since it didn’t seem like an appropriate time. If anything, his face was kind of going red as he remembered that the gym leader had the ability to read people’s minds. ‘Crap, I just need to try and keep my mind blank.’ Kadaj did tongue twisters in his mind over and over again as he did his best to think of something else to say and think about that didn’t involve his attraction for Chad. Luckily though, it seemed like Chad had something to say about going to bed.
“You’re already going to sleep man? Alright, talk to you in the morning.” Kadaj decided to sit back down in front of the fire. He kind of figured that Chad leaving meant that the conversation was pretty much done and to be honest, Kadaj understood Chad’s point about going to bed early. He’d be having a long day tomorrow and the last thing he needed was Chad trying to force him to wake up and travel. Just thinking about it made Kadaj groan in his mind. Chad was way too pushy sometimes. “It was nice meeting you Dead Master.” Kadaj put his arms behind his head and laid in the dirt since he didn’t bring a tent or anything of the sort with him for this trip.

Chad yawned and watched through exhausted eyes as the Gym leader handed Kadaj a bag and mentioned something about dirty thoughts. Chad was slightly weirded out by the fact that Kadaj had dirty thoughts. They probably involved himself or something since Kadaj seemed to be the type of guy that was pretty much in love with himself. It didn’t bother Chad as much as he was tired, so if he had to choose between asking Kadaj what that was about and sleeping, he’d choose sleeping.
After the gym leader had flew away on his Pokémon, Chad walked inside of the tent and laid there with his eyes closed. He didn’t think about Kadaj or what he was doing at this point because he was simply too exhausted. “You’ll have to tell me what that whole ‘naught thoughts’ thing is about tomorrow. I’m kind of interested.” Chad teased Kadaj one last time before curling up and counting the sheep in his mind.
As much as he loved to sleep, this was definitely going to be a lot different because it was in the middle of a forest and there was a fire going. With the luck Kadaj combined with the luck of Chad, they’d be lucky if the fire didn’t get out of the pit, but then again, Chad wasn’t a very lucky person considering it took him a couple of tries before he ever managed to capture his Smeargle, but he was definitely grateful for that because that was the kind of Pokémon he’d need if he wanted to diversify his team.
With thoughts of strategy the last thing on his mind, Chad fell into a deep sleep.

Kadaj opened the bag he was given and decided to keep his mouth shut at the dirty thoughts comment. It kind of sucked that Kadaj couldn’t read minds; otherwise he’d totally get back at Dead Master for calling out his secrets like that. “Yeah, yeah, very funny.” Kadaj tried to play it off as a joke as he pulled out a small sleeping bag from the bag itself. “Sure it was from my dad.” Kadaj had a feeling it was from the gym leader since his dad had been dead for quite some time now. Then again, calling out the gym leader wouldn’t be the wisest thing to do since it seemed like he had so much blackmail on Kadaj because Kadaj had a dirty mind.
Once Chad entered his tent, Kadaj unfolded the sleeping bag and laid it out on the dirt. “Dude, you’re never going to learn my dirty secrets, not unless you take me out to dinner first.” Kadaj teased Chad as he hunkered into the sleeping bag and got cozy next to the fire. He wanted to keep talking to Chad but he knew that Chad was deathly tired since he even refused talking to the gym leader any longer.
Kadaj just lied there, staring up at the stars and imagining what it would be like to become the champion. Nowadays, the only thing that kept Kadaj going were possibilities and the potential of it all. ‘Never going to tell Chad anything about how I feel, no way dude.’ Kadaj shook his head and turned so that he was facing the tent. He was trying to look inside, but to no avail. With nothing else to do though, Kadaj closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Chad was probably the first to awaken since he didn’t hear Kadaj banging on his tent like he’d half-expected him to be doing if he woke up first. ‘I must’ve been really tired, I left my hoodie on.’ Chad always slept in underwear, but last night he’d immediately collapsed in his tent. He never liked sleeping in them because he just felt more comfortable without them, simple as that.
After sitting there in a daze for a few seconds, Chad crawled out of his tent to see Kadaj sleeping next to the fire pit. He kind of felt bad that he had to sleep out here with the elements, but Chad was sure Kadaj could handle anything mother nature threw at him. “I guess I should get breakfast going for us.” While Kadaj slept, Chad walked into the forest and searched only for a moment before finding a couple of eggs that must’ve belonged to some birds or something. “Well, they’re mine now.” Chad grinned smugly before picking up the eggs and walking back to camp.
Once back, Chad got the fire pit going again. Then, he pulled a pan out of his bag before cracking the eggs on it and placing it back over the fire. All he had to do was wait for the breakfast to be done and then he would be good to go with waking up Kadaj. ‘Ha, I can’t believe I’m making him breakfast. He’s so helpless.’ Chad rolled his eyes and sat patiently, waiting for the eggs to be done for the two of them.

Kadaj was a heavy sleeper and it took him a while to actually wake up sometimes, especially if he didn’t have any worries or doubts before going to bed. Last night just so happened to be one of those nights that filled him with inspiration and the will to keep on going. He was now going to make it a goal of his to defeat the ghost type gym leader Dead Master eventually. That would at least help him get through several gyms in order to better himself for the battles ahead.
Kadaj awoke in the morning to the sizzling of eggs on a pan directly over the fire. “Oh, good morning to me! Do you always cook like this or is it a special occasion?” Kadaj looked up at Chad through exhausted eyes, smiling as he did so. Not only was Chad nice and good-looking, he could also cook. As usual though, right after feeling a wave of want for Chad, Kadaj realized that his efforts would be fruitless since Chad didn’t seem to swing the way Kadaj did. Then again though, no one really knew Kadaj was gay since he was still in the closet about it. So naturally he’s never done anything with a guy before, but he just knew what he was. He didn’t exactly like doing it with a woman, so that was one of the reasons he had to go off of. “Alright then, when is breakfast going to be done?” Kadaj looked down at the eggs with those hungry eyes he always had whenever he wanted to eat.

Chad grumbled something inaudible as he cooked the eggs, although it wasn’t anything malicious or something of the sort. Chad was simply going over how long he was supposed to cook the eggs because even though he was a scavenger by nature, he wasn’t exactly a chef and for the sake of making Kadaj’s day a good one, Chad wanted to make sure that these eggs were prime.
His thinking and pondering didn’t last long though before Kadaj awoke to see the eggs sitting there, to which Chad smiled. “Yeah, don’t get used to it. I just thought that since it’s the beginning of our journey, I’d do something nice. We should be able to get to Vormund City by the end of the day though and then we can rest at the Pokémon Center.” Chad flipped the eggs using a small stick he’d found lying in the forest. He wasn’t too worried about it having diseases since the heat of the eggs would probably burn them off.
Chad only briefly looked at Kadaj, wondering what was up with him always staring. Chad knew that there wasn’t anything on his face, or at least that’s what he’d hoped for anyways. “So why are you always staring at me? Is there something on me that you want to point out?” Chad shook his head but brought his attention back to the eggs, figuring that Kadaj would have an answer immediately ready for him since it was such a simple question to be asked. Besides, it’s not like Kadaj was one to hold back on his opinion of things.
