Eunica was swallowed by the darkness and felt herself being hit by the shadows from all sides, before being spat back out, beaten and bruised on the ground. Gritting her teeth, she slowly got back up, biding her time.

David was pulling the charging handle back and releasing another smoking case when the sudden swirling blackness overtook him. The bounty hunter found himself flying through the air to hit a charred tree. The impact winded him and he blacked out.
When he opened his eyes, everything was still black and there was an aching pain all throughout his body. He could still move all his limbs though. Using his sniper rifle as support, the bounty hunter got back to his feet.

Blasted back by the wave of darkness, temporarily collapsed to his knees in a combination of energy expenditure and pain. Getting back to his feet he took several deep breaths as he calmed himself and attempted to will his energy to recover faster.

The great beast seemed to be distracted to some degree by the summoning of a minion. Brian decided to capitalize on the situation by rushing into close combat. He used a burst of wind to launch him at the powerful demon before charging his fist with lightning and attempting to slug the demon right in his smug face.
