Zar frowned uncertainly, peering over his glasses. It was unmistakably her. He had committed so much to memory that day and he didn't forget anything easily. He wondered why she hadn't come back, after agreeing that she would. Had something gone wrong?
He could only hope that he didn't resemble his human form enough that he would be memorable like this. Of course he saw the resemblance himself but he assumed that was primarily because it was him. You always recognised yourself, no matter what shape you were, and were more sensitive to similarities.
"Zar." he stated, once again clipped, once again as un-cooperative as he could manage to sound. He was inclined to be helpful to the hunters, but he was reticent with this particular lady.

"Oh," Rin tried to look mildly surprised but not too surprised so that she could easily come across as assuming he's just... vaguely related is all, certainly not the human from before. No sirree. She looked down and wrote in his name.
She looked back up at him, her expression unreadable, "Are you not hungry as well? You don't seem to be complaining nearly as much as your companions."

The doctor stared at the siren, eyebrow lifted, and made another note. Possibly on the dietary habits of the specimens and where they found their "meat" if not from minipets. Were there trees made of bacon spawned from vegetarian nightmares? The corners of his lips slid up and he added...
...likely the specimen is just stupid. Bird types so often are.

"I'm very rarely hungry. " He got hungry but more often than not existed on the most efficient and minimal sustainable he could obtain. He hadn't even considered if he was hungry or not here and now. It wasn't that time in his schedule.
"This isn't when I eat." he said, as if this was an answer to her question.
"Do I get to ask you questions?" he said, with a slight flicker of a smile.

Ami could've gagged as the girl accepted her compliment, clearly pleased by her compliment. She thought those scales were disgusted as ******** and wanted no part of them, but she was going to hold her tongue.

"Yeah, I guess..." She agreed again, hesitantly. "You have a funny way of inviting people over. Ever thought to try, oh I don't know, asking nicely? Kidnapping isn't a good start on the right foot..." She scoffed; she was feeling better, but she was still a far cry from trusting them.
"Some have to or like to, but I can't..." Her shoulders lifted in a very obvious shudder, absolutely hating the idea of having to eat a minipet. All she could think of was DC or her dopey fish, and she just couldn't imagine anyone eating them.
Deryk offered to get whatever she wanted for her, or at least try to. The ghoul turned to obviously stare at the door, frowning. "What if all I want is to go back home?" A little pause. "Male." He said, narrowing his eyes curiously at her. He wasn't sure what to make of her intent, wasn't sure if she was bluffing or if she genuinely didn't recognise him. He decided to call her bluff, put a little on the line - at this point he had very little to lose.
"Why didn't you come back?"

They might actually bring him meat? That was...rather unexpected really. "Thank you Miss Sasha," he said sincerely, but until it appeared he would not truly trust that she would carry through with that. "My kind is...private. Secluded. He didn't like the whole kidnapping thing at all, but he didn't want to say that out loud right now. Not with H. Right. There. "But um. Do you. Do you know anyone who would want to come here? If asked? Meant that in a .. come here and not want to trash the place sort of way," he said. He wouldn't be surprised if there were some students who wanted to burn this place down. But hey! Maybe he could get a better candidate idea that didn't involve shoving someone into a burlap bag more or less. The small smile that the trainee had faded at her request. He should have known she would ask that. Letting out a sigh, he shook his head. "Not something I can grant. Maybe later you can go home. Maybe. Not really sure what's gonna happen here. But... can't right now for sure. Can't call those sort of shots. Sorry, " he said while scratching his head.

"Don't worry, it seems some of our finest chefs are trying to figure out the best gourmet meal for your friends," Rin leaned back from the mic to sure enough check off a box at his answer. Well good, at least there's that.
At his own question though she froze for a moment before giving him such a confused look before leaning back to the mic, "Come back where?" she sounded suspicious. But the truth was she already knew.
