The creature bent down, close enough for Shun to feel it's breath on his face. Then one giant, glowing eye opened, enough to let Shun see what he was dealing with.
"Puny reaper also has one eye." The creature huffed, poking at Shun's eyepatch." HP: 10 Damage: 0

Ugh. This thing smelled bad. Shun sneered before staring up at the cyclops, recoiling as it poked him in the eyepatch. He swatted the creature's hand to the side.
"I don't have time for this," he hissed.

The creature roared when Shun rebuffed his poor attempt to make a social connection, and rose it's weapon up to smash down upon Shun's head.
He barely grazed it.
Dice are the real trolls, here.

Shun saw it raise its weapon and managed to not get completely smashed by it. He also couldn't completely avoid it either.
"Che," he scoffed before taking a glance around him. This creature was able to maneuver somehow in the dark.

"WHY PUNY REAPER TAUNT BIGGER MONSTER?" The troll roared out, raising up it's weapon again to strike. The stick came nowhere near Shun when it slammed down - there was no stealth to be learned from this monster.

"I wasn't taunting. I don't exactly appreciate being prodded," he glowered. Shun watched as he struck the wrong place entirely. Ok. Maybe he wasn't that adept in the dark as he originally thought. It likely wasn't worth fighting this thing.
Quietly, he shook his head to himself, then tried to see if he could sneak on away from the cyclops.

The monster bashed against the floor over, and over, and over.
It clearly had no idea Shun had escaped.

Shun could hear the cyclops raging behind him. Yeah. He wasn't going back there. Closing his eye again, he decided to try something else. As he walked, He went ahead and tried to 'sense' traces of fear or anything... or maybe it was just movements in the air. Something along those lines.
He figured he may as well.

On his first step, Shun fell in a puddle of water again. The good news? This time, it was only waist deep. The bad news? It was so very much colder than the others were.After removing himself from the freezing water, Shun's next step would be on blessedly solid ground. And his third had him walking into what could most definitely be sensed as a greater source of fear than he'd found in this dark pit. Shun walked directly into what sounded, and felt like a brush of leaves.. and stumbled upon something. Or someone. Her weapon tip touched the underside of his neck - another step, and he would dissipate. "Why are you blundering around this place so noisily?" She hissed. "Do you have no self-preservation at all?"

For the love of Jack the water around here was freezing! Well maybe it at least washed off some of the mud from that last pit he fell into. After walking a bit, he stopped as he picked up on something strong. He wasn't alone. Again. Though, before he could really figure out what it was, it had found him.
Or rather, she had.
Shun lifted his chin up, feeling the point of a weapon at his throat. This wasn't exactly a good sign.
"I find it hard to move quietly when I keep walking into pits of water I cannot see," he murmured. Did he like that stab at the way he moved around in the dark? Not particularly, but he wasn't going to snap at someone who could stab him in the throat on a whim right about now.

The sound of his voice seemed to soothe her enough to take her weapon off of his neck. But his response made her pause in disgust. "In the darkness? Jack, how long have you been down here? I don't remember ever seeing you, before." She reached out and poked his stomach. "Did your scarefly die, too?"

Shun relaxed a bit as she moved the weapon away. Well there was that. He soon twitched from the poke to the stomach, frowning at the woman before him. Hopefully she did not poke him agian.
"As far as I know, no more than a day. But no. I had no scarefly to begin with. I take it you once had one," he said. In which case, he had to wonder how long she had been here. There was also a slight feeling of concern for Levi. Wherever she was right about now.

There was a slow pause as he admitted he had no scarefly. Then she put her hand against her mouth and stifled her laughter. "You didn't eat the scarefly?! How are you still alive? I should have found your body dead in a ditch by now."
She snickered with laughter as the sound of leaves rustled, and her hand wrapped around Shun's. "Come on, stupid. If you're going to get out of here, you're going to need my help."
She stifled another snicker. "Didn't even eat the scarefly.."

Shun's eye narrowed when she practically mocked him where he stood.
"I'm not that easy to kill," he muttered under his breath before looking towards her, "So then how do you navigate around here?"
Listening and feeling around had worked to some extent, but that never stopped him from dropping into a pool of water. The Reaper let out a huff as she continued to snicker at him. He would have liked to think that he would not needed a crutch to move around.
In any case, he didn't pull away from the stranger. But he kept one hand still clutching onto his dead whip snake. Just in case.

"Didn't you learn anything?" If eye rolling was audible, he would be hearing it in droves. I get by using stealth. Duh. If I hear water, I walk around it. If I smell dirt, I stay clear. If I hear any sort of breathing or movement, I wait until it's passed. And most importantly.." She turned around, and got close enough to Shun's face that he could actually see the whites of her teeth.
"If I taste the foul tang in the air that jackdamned ogre leaves, I get the hell out of here. Nice job getting away from him, by the way. At least you're good for something."
She tugged on his hand and continued forward, stopping quite suddenly and sniffing the air around her. She commanded silence, and suddenly the soft drip of water could be heard.
"Around." She whispered, dragging the reaper to the side and around the lake they were about to walk into.
