Jordan stared at Ofie, and let his disappointment show in his eyes. "If I'm required to pick sides," he answered coldly, "I tend to pick the side that's not forcing me to make that choice."
He turned away, feeling faintly sick, and swung at the fog-beast; Ferros roared into flame, but Jordan had misjudged the distance, distracted, and the creature easily avoided the attack.

"Oh no, I'm sure Stephen could satisfy my needs. It's me who wouldn't be able to do that, being a woman and all." Candace rolled her eyes. But when he yelled she grinned. He was just too easy to provoke, it was so fun. She barely had to do anything! Maybe one day he would learn...more likely he wouldn't, but it'd be fun until he did.
She heard Jerry's voice and she tensed, eyes wide as she looked Jordan's way. She hadn't been around Jerry for more than a minute or so since..well...
..She'd be okay. She'd be fine.
Clearing her throat, Candace ducked under Jerry's blast to get at the creature again, aiming her leg around Cass. "Rep is a stupid name. His name is William." She barely grazed the damn thing.

Ofelia didn't really wilt but she felt like she should say something none the less? Her back was hurting from where she'd hit the wall, then been hit, and even though she knew the shield had prevented wounds everything still stung. Maybe it would be better for her to just do as everyone said and not keeping poking at wounds. " . . . .yer right. Ah'm bein' stupid, sorry."
Her tone of voice suggested she meant it but in her mind she sure as hell didn't. From what rumors Ofelia had heard Rep was going out with Jordan (and Harrison, wait how did a three man couple work) so it wasn't really surprising that Jordan would be disappointed with her. "Ah jus' get easily worked up, yanno. Ah'll try ta be better." At least that part was a bit more true and sincere.
She was distracted enough that when the third creature (or second now, since one was gone) came close she swiped at it but took a blow to her back again for her troubles. It sent her staggering forward and she stayed on her feet, a wheeze escaping her throat. "Fuuuu-"

Ooookay. Madison inched a little bit away from the sudden drama; while normally she loved watching drama, seeing Jordan involved in drama felt kind of weird and wrong-ish, or something. Like a fish in the middle of the desert. Instead, she settled for swiping at the biggest thing around, but the blades passed through without hitting anything solid. A curl of fog lashed at Kouki's shield, but she was too late to strike it back.

It was a good thing Nicodemus was there to hold the fort down sometimes to keep her from making an utter idiot of herself. Because the fighting was sort of frustrating on some level. Excuses on why people had to act like idiots, fights being picked for no reason...
Cass just furrowed her brows together and continued her defending tango with Candace.

We want to bite, Kouki complained; Madison got the sense that the serpent-sword was still embarrassed from missing his charged attack earlier.
"Okay, okay," she said, quietly, then pivoted and watched the fogbeast with narrowed eyes. She turned, then quickly darted to what she thought might be behind the beast's own eyes, if it had them, slamming the blades into damp greyness up to the hilt. The first few inches were nothing but mist, but then she hit solidity, and hard.
Yessss, Kouki hissed in delight as Madison jumped back, jerking the blades down so that they tore out of the initial wounds she'd made. The fog boiled and thrashed - she'd clearly done some nice damage.

He caught some of Ofie's discussion with Jordan as he tried to get near enough to a creature to land a hit on it, the anger returning full force from what he could make out. She needed brought down hard with the ego she was currently toting around and it was frustrating to not be able to do it himself right now, too caught up in fighting these ******** monsters. Even after the talk from Killzone it seemed she was still out to drive him mad.
"Well yeah. A joke. No one gets safety manuals for the sake of sex dude. I mean either Stephen's pulling her leg or she was pulling ours." he shrugged "I don't think the ..other advice was a joke though. The booklets were a bit of a piss take." he snorted. Though not an entirely unhelpful one.
"Rep isn't a stupid name." he snorted, half to himself as he caught Candace's comment. He was feeling overwhelmed and irritable, and even such trivial comments were starting to get to him more than usual. "Its better than ******** William "
He was very tempted to just throw his rattle out, desummon and get the hell out of there before more people took the opportunity to get at him while he was distracted. But there was the reputation of his division to uphold, he was a sun, doing this was his duty. He couldn't afford to get distracted.
He swung out again and missed, clearly he was distracted.

Aleister paused staring at the boss for a moment before taking and swinging Pookie. He barely managed to quell the feeling he should've yelled burning blitz as it struck.
Everyone seemed to be sorta having some sort of disagreement or something? Well, whatever.

It was bothering Jordan. Was he letting his biases affect his judgment? At a glance, he'd looked at the exchange and clearly seen deliberate provocation, Ofie's words carefully edged to strike sore spots, while Rep's response had been a simpler anger reaction, the way he usually responded when he felt stressed. Had he misjudged? He didn't think he had, but her accusation had thrown an edge of doubt into his thought processes.
Jordan, Ferros said sharply. We are fighting.
Jordan shook his head. Ferros was right; this wasn't a good time to examine and analyze, to break down the encounter and his thoughts. There was still a fogbeast looming over him. He pulled his focus together and slammed Ferros into its midsection.
It wisped away and dissipated, but the victory was a small and chill satisfaction.

Ofelia placed the tips of her fingers on Jordan's shoulder, her brow knit with some form of concern. She'd been spewing words out of anger, certainly, but she didn't like seeing anyone actually upset because of her (Rep could go eat a d**k - she knew he'd enjoy it though so maybe he could choke on it too). "Ah'll apologize ta him later, if that's what Ah need ta do. S'not fair'a me ta jump on a bandwagon when others are chewin' in ta him an' he's got nothin' ta defend him but his own words. It wasn' fair'a me ta accuse ya'a anythin' like Ah did."
Okay wait, that's not what she'd originally wanted to say. "Actually, Ah meant ta ask if yer okay. Yer shield holdin' up?" The sun teen wasn't meant to be able to defend anyone but she'd sure as hell give it a try if she could help out a friend. Even with the mob gone and all, there was still one left.

Ofelia heard Harrison shout out and she pointed to herself, then to Rep, and then shrugged, took a deep breath, and let it out.
"REP AH'M SORRY AH TRIED TA MAKE MAHSELF A BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM CAKE AN' USED UP ALL THE ICE CREAM. AH'LL BUY YA A WHOLE CARTON'A YER OWN AS SOON AS WE'RE DONE HERE OKAY. DON' DIE TRYIN' TA KILL STUFF CAUSE THAT WOULD SUCK."
End of statement. Ofelia looked over to Harrison and gave a thumbs up.
Oh yeah.
Ofelia was not smooth in the slightest, and she looked at Jordan at the end of his words. "Mah feelin', mah personal feelin', don' matter when it comes ta workin'. If we all jus' sit here an' argue Ah'll never get mah room back an' the whole sun hunter group is gonna fall ta pieces. Plus Ah never say sorry unless Ah mean it, jus' goes 'gainst mah nature ta do otherwise."

Rep turned and gave Ofie a look of undisguised loathing, he knew bitchy when he heard it. He ********> specialised in bitchy.
"Go ******** yourself with rusty razors Ofie. If that was honest, I'm the queen of the ******** harpies."
He twirled off with Tracey to look for more monsters, not about to dwell on the interchange.
