 The huntress was not surprised to be immediately reproached by Olivia and Amarus. Mercedes stood her ground and prepared as Amarus looked to be readying an attack but what caught her off guard was Olivia's sudden shove. There were no swears, no remarks of anger towards the girl though Mercedes wasn't going to just let that happen. Mercedes was serious about fighting and she wasn't here to talk it out with the hostile Halloweeners. So with little hesitation, the woman brought the hilt of Hadjoc down into the back of Olivia's head as they stumbled, then kicked up and fired a round at her at close range. She winced though, not because it looked like it hurt (which it most certainly did), but because Hadjoc was screaming until it was hoarse. There was nothing that could have prepared Amarus for the gathering of hunters. She'd been the one so eager to explore, too, so she still felt... concerned about her friends. But it was their duty, all of their duties, to try to eliminate the enemy: that was what she believed, in any case. Mercedes had struck at not one, but two of her friends at this point. Amarus struck towards the Hunter with one of her palm-thrusts, aiming for a tender spot. On the bright side, she knew it would connect.
"Olivia, are you okay?" Amarus asked, surprised by how hard the Hunter seemed to have hit her. As with the last time she had encountered the Hunters, it felt less like a fair fight, and more like execution.. having three students to attack one Hunter didn't seem to make a damage when they were all so young, and Amarus was only in her first year.

Great. Great. Great. Ugh. When all the dust had settled, Herryk caught sight of Before. No, he was going to stay away from that one. Herryk still had visions of that wheel slinging towards his head at vast speeds, and it was an interaction that Herryk felt no immediate need to repeat. West staggered back as the crossbow bolt smacked into his chest. He glared at the Hunter he'd hit, then looked around the room for a second target. "Dun get too excited. I'll be back." Or maybe he wouldn't. He kind of hated projectiles. The demon spotted a dark-haired kid with a dragon head on a chain and ran for him, letting out a powerful yell as he aimed his fist for the Hunter's stomach. Olivia wasn't used to feeling pain anymore but with the close range of the attack and most likely the weapon, she could feel something. The blow to the head was bad enough, making her feel dizzy and see stars. But the arrows really clenched the unwelcomed feeling running through her for the briefest of moments.
"Aa," was all she could manage when she fell backwards hard from the shock. There were arrows in her chest... ARROWS. Olivia's eyes grew wider as she looked at them, and then at the human girl that was still battling her friends; and faring pretty well at that.
She was still shaking too much, she managed to pull herself back up and tried not to think of the sticks protruding from her chest as she went for another round with the hunter.
Where this was coming from, she didn't know. Olivia didn't even know how to really fight! Perhaps something deep inside her, primal really as she lashed out at Mercedes, pretty much flailing her arms.

Feng was suddenly under a hail of attacks due to his attacks on the golden girl. He grunted and groaned as the attacks his hard, but there was nothing he could do. Olivia (and her friends) had a lot of fight in them. It was very unevenly matched and Mercedes knew this. She took caution with every step and had yet to really worry herself over needing back-up... though she became increasingly aware of her disadvantage. Hadjoc hungered still for a bite out of each of these students but the immediate threat at hand was Olivia- "Hnngh-" Mercedes winced when Amarus struck and began to wobble. Olivia then came in to further throw her off balance. All Mercedes could see with the collective noise of Hadjoc and unstable footing was a couple Faustuses, three Olivias, and Amarus waving as a pink aura. "C-" she prepared to call a name but then shook her head trying to see straight again. Auri could see her fellow students all trapped in their own battles. Some doing better than others. See saw one ghoul in particular flailing to her hearts content. Her spinning fists actually doing some damage. "YOU GO GHOST GIRL!" she screamed across the room. Auri also egan to notice the symbols on the ground. "What tha?" Amarus could do nothing but laugh, and laugh, and laugh when not only did Olivia flail, but it also connected, far better than it had before. That ghoul had no style, but she was apparently a tiny powerhouse when distressed. Amarus supposed it was true what they said about backing the sweet or shy into a corner: don't do it, they have sharp teeth.
It even made her feel good to hear Auri call out to Olivia. Still, she'd rather her friends didn't get terribly injured, so... Amarus swept one of her feet out, attempting to catch the dizzy Hunter off guard and harm her balance. Her legs weren't her strong point, but damage dealing was not the ultimate goal: Amarus intended to try to sweep her feet out from under her.
Perhaps... this time, the students could support one another enough...

Faustus smiled to see Olivia hammering her little fists into the human. Even Amarus was managing to land an attack. An arrow came whizzing out of nowhere and grazed Auri across the leg, almost square to the kneecap! That last hit was enough to send her over the edge. Her fear shield had dropped! "HELP! There was someone cheering her on, well before they started calling for help. It was a little weird to hear such words coming her way, the praise and the acknowledgment - was Amarus laughing? Part of Olivia still couldn't believe that her lame attacks were connecting but the other part of her was trying to tell her not to think about it, or to let her guard down.
This human had attacked Faustus and then struck her with arrows along with a blow to the head. These humans were probably the cause of the weird things on the island, that unease feeling. Like during the classes on the island of Death. It was bad. This was what cycled through her head as she kept driving forward.
Around her, Amarus and Faustus seemed to have a similar idea. Well, about feet. The lotus eater went in for a sweep while Faustus went in for a kick. Olivia squeaked a little, maneuvering her way between the two better fighters to thrust her hands out once again and shove the girl over like she had attempted to do before.
