"Suit yourself."It was pretty apparent now that Invictus had no interest in explaining things any further at the moment. The Heir advised that they turn back now but he had no intention of doing so at this point. The room at Famine had opened up on its own accord, and he had heard people within already. The same could probably be said about this one. In which case, it could mean trouble. While the heir could handle himself pretty well, it was also probably within their best interest to at least watch his back here. The clan heads coming back to their heir missing or whatever probably would not mean very good things. That and he had other questions for him, but they could wait. Perhaps he'd get some answers while he was down here anyway. "I'll be watching then. Who or whatever's down there already, more could always show up."Placing his hands into his pockets, he fell back some so that he was back over by Xiu and Mitsu. There were quite a few students and it would be bad if something decided to come from behind.

Lacie, trailing close behind, couldn't help but hear Shun's conversation with Invictus, the heir. If he didn't have an idea of what was going on, then there must be something larger behind the scenes.
"The reason why someone would be down here is that they shouldn't be down here." When Invictus spoke like that, Lacie couldn't really refute it. Not that any of them had a much better reason as curiosity drew them all in. "Aha..ha." She replied with a nervous chuckle, patting the back of her head.
Nothing had happened similar to this on her experiences with Dear and War. However, even though Lacie couldn't understand the specifics of other's conversations, she recognized that they had some familiarity with this occurrence.
Many of them knew, and worried for Xiu. Lacie didn't have to worry much for her friend then.. taking a glance at everybody else.
Raising up her hand, very hesitantly, as if wondering if she had the right to speak among all these members, "Could anybody please explain what is going on?" The question was directed at those who seemed to be familiar with the strange occurrences around them. Glyphs.. fears.. nothing made sense to the reaper. ?_?

'Not that I understand much', the fae shrugged their shoulders. 'But something is happening, and I don't really like the air of it. So we better watch our backs - and stick together'. They tried to sound reassuring and knowning, but it didn't work out so well [Exiting to rush downstairs]

Siddie bit her lip. Nobody should be down here. That included them. She wasn't going to run away. She needed to find out what was going on. She squared her shoulders and held her head proudly high. "Invictus," she said. "What do you know of the Apocalypse?"

She looked at Mitsu silently, her gaze sweeping over the other ghoul's face carefully. After a moment passed, the baku smiled. "We'll watch out for each other, okay?" A part of her hoped that that wouldn't be necessary--hoped that she and her friends weren't walking into danger--but it seemed almost inevitable that they would find something they wouldn't like down there.
Poke's arrival was met with a smile--albeit a worried one--whereas her greeting to Lou lacked that positivity. In fact, she just looked worried--and maybe a little bit apprehensive--at the fact that the vampire was tagging along. "You shouldn't be here, Lou." She frowned, her voice soft but firm. A part of the reason that she wanted him to turn back was because this was Lou, but another part was genuine concern. She knew her friends from Amity could fend for themselves, but the vampire? He seemed too...carefree, too teasing, too...
...Flamboyant?
Xiu frowned. Before she could dwell on it any more, she felt someone tugging gently on her tail, followed by a familiar voice. "Demi! I'm..." She trailed off uncertainly, before a little smile quirked on the corner of her lips, "There's been something...bothering me, lately. I thought that maybe this was the chance I was looking for to get more information."
There was a pause as she took in his words, and then she lifted her free hand to rub the back of her neck with embarrassment. "I...thank you, Demi. But I can't turn back now, can I? Not when all of you are intent on investigating as well." Jack forbid anything happen to any of these people. Shun, Mitsu, Demi, Lacie, Junko--what would she do without them? Even Poke and Lou, the former who she didn't know very well, and the latter who was...
...Well.

[ entering + investigating ]
The Sacred Temple of Nine Dragons of the Isle of Conquest was, suffice it to say, quite opposite the Temple on the Isle of Death. It was an expansive shrine of sorts, with wooden, engraved pillars, beautifully detailed carvings, and hundreds of scrolls, none of which seemed to be allowable to touch (though Sparrow yearned to see what they spoke of). It was a rather impressive place, quite lovely.
Though not quite as quiet as he had expected it to be.
There seemed to be noises coming from within the temple, and Sparrow peered cautiously around a pillar, wondering if he had come at exactly the wrong time. There were cloaked figures moving throughout, arms filled with heavy stone tablets -
- and then they were gone. Sparrow blinked, shaking his head a little. He did not think he had imagined it, but the figures had been there for barely a moment, a fleeting second.
And there was a door at the other end.
Sparrow frowned, tilting his head. He pressed his lips together, his heart pounding as he moved towards it, cautiously and carefully. He longed to retrieve his scythe, summon his weapon for safety and reassurance, but he did not think now was the right time to do so, not here within the walls of something as sacred as the Temple was.
Even so, he wished he could.
There were voices. Sounds. Sparrow wondered whether this was anything like what he and Malodore and Aymet had experienced on the Isle of Famine, and he narrowed his eyes a little.
There were students down here, but Sparrow was preoccupied within his own thoughts, trying to piece together the puzzle.

INVESTIGATING
Shenny couldn't help feeling something was... strange. First of all, she couldn't get the sound of conversation out of her head: there was nobody except students in the temple, but she was positive she heard someone else talking.
It was more than suspicious, given in mind the horsemen shouldn't be there.
A moment later Shenny had the strangest vision ever: cloaked figures running here and there carrying big tablets engraved with strange glowing runes. Something was clearly wrong about it... Shenny could swear she had seen these runes before, but couldn't remember when and where. Right when she was ready to call them, she blinked, and the vision disappeared. Was she hallucinating or something?...
The ghoul leaned towards the wall and noticed a half-hidden door with a stairway going downstairs. AND THERE WAS FEAR EMITTING FROM THERE. A very familiar kind of fear, she should admit. Unpleasantly familiar. Cursing herself, the ghoul headed down; what else she could do? She heard some familiar voices from the downstairs, one of them was... could be the heir to Conquest himself? Anyway, decided Shenny, it's better to be prepared, if something's happening, especially when the atmosphere around is too calm and peaceful, as it only could be right before thunder strikes.

[[Entering & Investigating]]
The more she saw of the Isle of Conquest, the more thankful Reiko was that she had listened to Lucinda's comment that she would like it. Like it she most certainly did; the entire isle was so incredibly beautiful. Her loneliness at being apart from what few friends she had was utterly forgotten in this amazing place.
And yet-
-At first, the onryo was sure she was seeing some sort of trick of the light. Fleeting figures on the edge of her vision, suddenly gone. But she turned fully, and there was a strange door, one she was sure had not been there the last time she had taken a wondering glance in that direction.
Well. There was but one thing to do. She walked towards the door, and heard what seemed to be voices from behind it. So there were others there? Students, or Horsemen? She couldn't be sure. Nothing to do but find out, right? So the ghost ghoul pushed the door open and stepped through.

As the students investigate further, they notice a cloaked figure walking into the room. They suddenly freeze, turning around: and run into the tunnel. Aurian had followed Invictus and her female friends down the stairs. Upon seeing the interlopers, she charged after the Conquest Heir, ready to kick some Hunter butt.

Whelp, it seemed the horsemen were good at giving answers that didn't..answer anything. It was obvious to Poke that there was a lot more happening that she realized. Weather she would find out what was happening, she wasn't sure. But for now she would focus on the current events.
Which at the moment, appeared to be "follow that dude and kick a**"
