The Horsewoman lingering nearby seemed to be keen on not allowing the waste of materials, but Shehk took her time to pick out something that looked nice, turning over a rather shiny piece of Obsidian in her hand, keeping her fingers careful with the material before she found a place to sit and work. She took a moment to admire the sheen it had, before she actually got to work.
She found actually shaping the rock was a difficult task, however, as she sat there, working at it almost painstakingly just to get the right shape, the right curve of the material and to make sure the edges were clean. It felt like she was sitting there forever cleaning edges and trying to make it look like a real knife, sitting up every now and then to give it a small swipe at the air and give it a look over, before she would get back to work again.
However, it didn't really seem to be anything too impressive no matter how hard she worked at the crafting of it. Unfortunate, but it was at least nice looking.
Once she was ready to decorate the handle, however, she again went into her level of detail, wrapping it in leather and carefully tucking a feather into it which was then carefully wound over to make sure it stayed there. She took a minute to make sure all the edges of her work were clean again before she held it up, admiring.
It was actually a really nice looking knife. Yet.... there was a look passed to her that said she wouldn't be taking the knife with her. Sadness. Ah well.
Still, with her crafting done, it was time to see how well it would hold up.

She was given a target to use her knife against, turning her craftsmanship over in her hand carefully before she moved and struck out with the blade. The weapon felt awkward in her hands and the hit she made wasn't that good, but she could also feel her work hadn't exactly liked that strike from her.
Yeah, it was OK Mr. Knife. She hadn't felt that great about it either.

It took a moment, but Shehk had to adjust her grip on the blade's handle before she attacked with it again, feeling more satisfied as it dug into her target with a lot less resistance than her first attack had, the blade seeming to cut through it like butter.
That was much better.

With her hold adjusted properly, Shehk was ready for another round at her test target.
As it had before, it seemed to cut through the target with relative ease, taking it in stride. Excellent. Wow. She was actually kind of proud of how nice her craftsmanship was turning out!

Her hand slipped up a bit with another swing of her knife, and the target seemed to resist her just a bit more. But that was no matter. She'd just fix her hold.
Shehk took a moment to wipe her palm off before she got ready to try it again.

There, that felt better in her hand, and another swing of the blade proved to tell her that she had done relatively well with it.
Still, she could see the knife itself beginning to chip away at the edges...

However, the knife wouldn't be going own without a fight, cutting through the target with another swing easily. It was pleasant.
She felt pretty mighty with her weapon making skills. Which was a nice feeling.

For a moment, Shehk couldn't help but stare at her weapon. It was probably going to break if she hit too hard with it, she could already see how fragile it was looking.
Still, she had to accept that she had to let it go. She would miss you, little knife.
With that, Shehk dug it into her target, pulling down with both hands, feeling the stone she'd made it out of crunch and crack underneath her weight before she shattered in half. The pricolici almost seemed heartbroken despite the fact she had tried to steel herself to the fact it was going to have to go.
Her ears drooped.
"....That was a pretty good knife.." she thought. Maybe she'd make another one some other time out of sturdier materials or something. If she could find something. Hmm.

There was almost a noticeable bounce in Shehk's step as she left the weapon crafting. With that, there was only one thing she needed to do to bring her spirits down!
She'd go spar a bit!

Despite the soreness of her hands, she was ready to get her a** kicked a few times in the stadium, taking the staff she was offered, but only after the woman in charge took a minute to wrap her hands. She apparently didn't want Shehk wearing her palms raw. Which was understandable.
Still, she stepped into the circle against an opponent she'd faced off against before and seemed to grin knowingly at her. Shehk made a point to not puzzle over it, however, as she stepped in an struck quickly. First blow was solid.
Counter was a bit soft, but when she was already bruised it was easy enough to feel.
She stepped back and moved in again, cracking her staff across her opponent's knuckles - hard - causing them to drop their weapon, before she knocked them down onto their back, pinning them once they were down.

Her next opponent came quickly and Shehk wasn't surprised by this, parrying their first attack as it grazed over her face, forcing off an attack that would have probably broken her nose before she swung low with her own staff, striking her opponent in the knees. Her own bruised knees reminded her this was an effective tactic, following the strike to the knees with a blow to the small of her opponent's back, forcing the end of her weapon in between their shoulder blades.
Her foot caught their ankles as she shoved with it, sending them face first towards the ground while she moved to swing her staff upwards as they fell to catch them in the ribs.
For a moment, the Horseman laid there, panting and she wondered if she'd gone too far with it.
But they were still willing to get up and offer her a handshake, thanking her for the good battle.
She felt mighty.

The third match was a bit closer than she would have liked, and it seemed like every strike she made was countered easily, causing the Pricolici to crinkle her nose a bit before she shifted and physically shoved her weapon into a space between her opponent's arm and side.
Hard.
Not to say she wasn't going to be bruised for a few days with the counter to her gut. It had been close and Shehk and her opponent seemed to be laughing after the fact at how close it had been.

Shehk almost felt bad for how easily she swept up her next opponent, striking not only quickly, but efficiently. But that was her nature, to be quick. In fact, she was beginning to notice it was her best asset when it came to battles to have.
It made it easy enough for her to move between the horseman's blows.
And for her to catch them straight in the sternum and send them wheezing.
..

One more battle. She'd do that, then she'd go out exploring for a bit.
Still, she again wondered when she'd gotten so much energy in her as she struck down her fifth opponent, seeming to stare at the staff in her hands in shock. When had she..how had...that was..
She felt so mighty for sweeping the floor like that!
No really. She hadn't done that well in anything besides the knife thing a little while earlier, so she had to wonder if Riley had secretly pumped awesome into her lungs instead of air.
Because if so, she needed to go thank her for that.

After all that work she'd done, however, Shehk was pretty tired and felt like it was probably in her best interests to head back to the dorms...
or go explore a bit. Hmmmmm....
