After failing to 'catch' Vaith, Aurian went looking for a new target. She decided on a grey boil with a scar around his neck. He was one of the undead, she thought. Aurian had seen him around the school, though they hadn't actually met. ... Which didn't mean that she couldn't target him for this game. Whirling the lasso, she aimed its release in Mort's direction. She missed again. Aurian raised the lasso, ready to try a third time when a vine slipped over her and pulled tight. She meeped, stumbling back a step and turned to face her 'captor'. Vaith looked pretty pleased with himself. Aurian felt rather proud for some reason, too. Even if she couldn't do well at this game, she was glad that one of her friends was. "Oh no," she said, raising both eyebrows. "I have been caught and am now your prisoner. Whatever will you do with me, oh great and powerful Reaper?" The words might be those of a damsel in distress, but Aurian's expression told the real story. Eyesbrows up, eyes open so wide that it couldn't be anything but faked, and one corner of her lips curling up into an almost-smirk... Oh yes, whatever would Vaith do with an Aurian who'd learned how to tease? Lasso created: Y (4 attempts) Lasso attempt: 2/3 Successful lassoing: 0

"You have an owl?" Amarus asked, suddenly perking up. She leaned forward a bit, holding her hands together forcibly as all she really wanted to do was stroke the owl. Amarus loved birds; she couldn't help it. She'd spent nearly all of her training on Conquest's isle trying to be polite to the adaras.
There was suddenly far too much going on for Amarus to really keep track of it. She did flash Vaith a smile, and clap for Mort as he successfully lassoed a second student. Turns out what he lacked in knot-tying he made up for in lasso-throwing. Perhaps he had a better sense of depth perception.
Amarus glanced around, and tried to figure out what all was going on. She saw Vaith exchange tosses with another ghoul, and then subsequently watched that ghoul try to lasso Mort. Hey, why not? Amarus returned the gesture, throwing her own lasso at the ghoul. No dice! It fell short, and she waved a sort of friendly greeting. Woops. Well, she was quite pretty, so it wouldn't do any harm to have tried to lasso her, at any rate.
This was exhausting. Amarus stayed back a bit, watching the action.

gaia_star VAITH'S TRAINING DAY 2 CLASS STAGE TWO: TYING A STUDENT RESULT: 1/3 CAUGHT
Vaith looked around. He spotted a student that several people had aimed for already ..
"Sorry, dude, do you mind?"
Vaith shook his head, getting ready the rope in what he tried, to be a manner with an increased confidence rate of thirty percent.
FAILQuote: STEP TWO: Lassoing your Fellow Classmates It's time for some battle system practice! - Find and roll your battle dice below. - Subtract six from the result. - If the result is one or greater, you successfully lassoed your chosen target. - If the result is zero or less, you missed and must try again.

"Sorry. I was playing blind tag and you were the chosen one. " Mercy said with a shrug and a frown. She pulled her rope back to her and looked down at it.. fidgetting and hoping the spell was still intact. Spells can get tricky. sometimes they stayed, sometimes they didnt. She was glad to see that the knot stuck though. "I'll warn you next time, I promise." she offered to the boil. She started to twirl her lasso and found a ghoul to target in on this time. And to heed the previous boil's warning she shouted "Heads Up" although she hoped the ghoul didn't take it literally. She let the lasso loose and hoped to see if she had successfully lassoed another person.Oddly enough the lasso slided effortlessly around the ghoul.

Fallow blinked owlishly at the other as he untied him, listening with one ear cocked to his sounds - words, - as he searched for another person to lasso. Fallow looked around for some sort of bright neon sign similar to himself to target, even though he doubted he would be half as good at lassoing others as he was at breaking noses back home. Tail flicking, he decided on one of the others closest to him. Rumbling softly to himself, he took aim and hoped that maybe, somewhere in the deep recesses of his brain, he wouldn't fail. And that no one minded getting lassoed.
That was kind of important too.
Loosing his lasso towards Aurian, Fallow turned his head towards Clyde and smiled toothily. "Ohhhh, Famine? How was it?" He paused, his tail curling at the thought of his rabbit in a place where there probably was very little food for his stomach to consume. He giggled. That would have made for a very sad little thing. "Two more, yes." He rumbled, turning to look and see how poorly he'd done on his second try, neglecting the fact that Aurian had already been roped once. "I was in Conquest last week. A place full of manners and... ah very proper classes." He snickered. "I do not think this is anything one would try over there."
Despite his best intentions not to, Fallow smiled carnivorously at the idea that his lasso had landed a second person. Trotting a little ways from Clyde, the Púca worked quickly to undo his work and bow his head to Aurian in a polite yet informal manner. "Apologies, sorrysorry, for knotting you like that, hmm." He rumbled in his gravely tone before back pedaling a little bit to begin searching for a third and final person to capture.
Well, well, well, this was actually pretty fun.

"Pleased to meet ya, Mei," and then he paused as the rope went over him and Endzela and then he let out a laugh of amusement, "Nice catch~," he commended her cheerfully never losing his grin. This whole exercise was amusing for him for the most part.
He shifted his footing a bit, "I just got done with the Death Clan, we made some pretty nice jewelry and learned a bunch about gems, it was very insightful," he said happily. For the most part he was lingering just to be 'helpful' to students that need to catch others. "I look forward to seeing what War has to offer for the week."
Endzela wasn't all too bothered by the ghoul wishing to pet her, in fact she remained still for Amarus to pet her feathers, "I am his Familiar~. I make sure he doesn't get in .. more trouble. Sometimes he doesn't listen to me," She said in a teasingly sad tone.

"Sandy." Was Clyde's reply. He could still feel the sand on his skin...actually, there might really be some sand in his hair. The varcolac ignore this fact before continuing on with the conversation. "We had to use minipets as part of our class." A lasso knocks at the back of his head, failing to lasso him. He looked over his shoulder to see the guy who had greeted him during the first day in the isle of Famine. He waved before tossing the lasso back with a wave.
"So, Fallow, what did you guys do in class in the Conquest Isle?"

While waiting for Vaith to respond to her flirty taunts, Aurian saw another lasso from the corner of her eye, also aiming for her. It fell short. Aurian grimaced in sympathy. "It's hard, isn't it?" she commiserated with the ghoul who'd aimed for Aurian. She returned the wave of greeting. Things were a bit chaotic for introductions right now, but once the lasso-ing was over, Aurian made a note to introduce herself to some of these students she was playing with. Slipping free of Vaith's lasso, she aimed a return attempt in the ghoul's direction. It worked. Aurian let out a cheer before letting the lasso slip loose. Another lasso slipped over her torso. Aurian turned to grin at the boil who rushed over to remove his vine. "It's fine," she told him with a small laugh. "It's a class. And it's fun!" It was a good thing Mei's scary boilfriend wasn't around to make Mort nervous, like he always was when boilfriends were. "Famine, land of deserts and scary plants," he said. "Did alchemy, destructive set, got, er, this." He pulled out of his pocket the softly glowing orange stone for his efforts, which . . . was nothing more than a paperweight that glowed as far as he was concerned. "Oh! And got kissed by pretty horseman lady with reverse growing flowers and bells, got new brain too! Is how speaking better."
Was Mort going to miss a chance to gloat about that meeting? NOPE.

She had to free herself of the ghoul's lasso, before she could pet the owl. She didn't reply to the other's comment about it being difficult, since she wasn't sure how far her quiet voice would travel, but she mouthed back, It's vastly irritating. Give her straightforward combat any day. Later, she was sure they'd have time to actually meet properly. Right now there was far too much going on to really graze the surface.
Free of the lasso, Amarus turned her attention back to Endzela, stroking her feathers softly. "So ... he listens sometimes?"Amarus asked, as if surprised; she was teasing, of course. She had only just met Kettil, of course she had no idea if he was regularly well-behaved.
Like the latter, Amarus was mostly lingering to be a target, now, though she was happy to mingle and meet other students as well.

Grinning at the boil, Kettil; Mei wound up the rope into her hand, keeping it by her side as she looked about the students for her final target. Pausing her search, she looked back to the two when the began to tell her of their past week. "Death and Famine, eh? Sounds like you both had an eventful time." No doubt, she figured jewelery making likely took more patience than the whole incense making she had to do. Or did it..? Eh, whatever the case, Mei was happy in the knowledge that this class, all they had to make were lassos. Which, she was already done, and now catching others with. As for the alchemy class--there was no way Mei would be able to take on that class. Not willingly anyways.
Snickering a little at Mort's announcement, the doll patted him on the shoulder. "Heh heh, grats Mort!" She was about to continue, when she spotted her next target. "One second.." She gestured to the two with her finger, before letting the rope uncoil as she swung it towards Sparrow.
With the rope falling around the boil, she gave another tug, letting it tighten around him. "And that's the last!" Letting the rope loosen again, she waved to reaper boil. "Sorry about that~"

"A pleasure to meet you, Zurine," said Sparrow cheerfully - but that was as far as he got, since a rope landed about his shoulders and sent him stumbling several steps to his left.
He glanced up, laughing.
"Nicely done," he told Kettil appreciatively, lifting the rope off of him. Holding out his hand, he smiled brightly and added "It's nice to meet you, by the way - I'm Sparrow Heartreed."
Now that he'd gotten his own lasso finished (finally), Sparrow lifted it and threw it at the nearest person he could find - which was supposed to be Amarus -
...except he missed totally and the lasso went around someone he didn't even know.
"Uh," said Sparrow, with a slightly sheepish expression. He made his way across the way over to the redheaded demon boil, rubbing the back of his neck. He laughed good naturedly and said, "Sorry about that, I was, er, aiming for someone else."

gaia_star VAITH'S TRAINING DAY 2 CLASS STAGE TWO: TYING A STUDENT RESULT: 1/3 --> ??
Vaith yelled out in a friendly manner, one hand cupping the side of his mouth to direct his voice.
Vaith tried to throw his rope at Sparrow. He was close enough to the other to hear what he said to Amarus, shaking his head with a grin.
"He was aiming for me."
Vaith was aiming for Sparrow too. And missed.
