SD:

Cress had gotten used to this, though he always left the room so she could change. When she came strolling out he was pouring himself some cereal. Cress didn't feel like cooking a big breakfast today.

"The beach..." he replied, in-between bites. "I figured we could have some fun there. If you're into swimming and such."

SD:

"Well there aren't any matches for a while. It's summer break after all. Or at least the beginning of it." he replies looking away for a moment. "Don't worry, I think you'll have fun. If not maybe we can go do something else. You should know by now how different my world is."

He wasn't going to mention the weight she was putting on. He would have to let her train some this summer. The last thing Cress wanted was a very overweight SC.

"Look if the beach bugs you that much we don't have to go Scarlett. We've just done about all we could do this week! The beach was the only area I could think of that you haven't been to. Don't complain to me about your swimsuit. I'm not the one who picked it out."

SD:

Crestus blushed a bit. "I guess in some ways they are." he replied cleaning up the bowls before she eats hers. It looks like he would have to buy more milk today.

Making sure they had everything, both of them headed for the beach. There wasn't that big of a crowd which was good. Though he did see a few SC's and their Summoners cuddling or playing in the water.

As he led her to one of the changing booths, and closed the door behind her so no one could see her changing, he found one himself and changed into a pair of dark green swimming trunks, and black sandels. Making sure he had enough sun screen Cress waited for her. Despite being a summoner, Cress was somewhat athletic in appearance. He did work out a little when he had free time, but he never desired to become buff.

While waiting another summoer's SC walk past him flirting a little, which caused her summoner to get kind of mad. Cress ignored the stares and watched them walk off. It was then he noticed a Summoner with a pregnant SC. He stared for a while, it was very rare to see yet very awkward. I guess some summoners and SC's do fall in love and have familes. So the rumors were true then! He though leaning up against the side of one of the changing rooms.

Lost in thought, he looked downward wondering what it would be like Scarlett and him ever fell in love. The situation was laughable though, she was a ridgid warrior and for all he knew she was married or had a lover back where she came from. Sure she was attractive, but Cress never really payed much attention to that, he just wanted to build a stronger bond with her and become friends. Friendship was a powerful thing during battles. It even helped unlock hidden powers within the SC themselves!

SD:

Cress blushed. She was...so radiant! "Wow...you look radiant!" he said figeting a little. Suddenly the pregnant SC, that he had spotted earlier, and her Summoner walked by.

"Wow I really like your bikini!" she said placing a hand upon her distended belly smiling. She was a Neko type. Her summoner just stared chuckling a bit at his SC's friendliness. He was used to it.

"Is he your summoner?" Oh he's sooo cute!!" the Neko giggles giving Cress a hug. "I bet you two will have all kinds of cute children! Nyah!" she giggled.

"C-Childre-Uhh..n-no it's nothing like-MMPH!!!" Hugging him tighter, the neko cut off his sentence.

"Ooh I can't wait to see all the cute kids you two will have!!!" she exclaimed.

Her summoner gently gave the Neko a look and she let go of Cress. Returning to her side she placed a hand upon her belly. "We're expecting triplets. Nyah! I can't wait! We're going maternity shopping today! So bye-bye! It was nice meeting you both!" she giggled before leaving with her summoner.

SD:

"Y-Yes very..a-anyway let's go." He said shaking off his nervousness a little.

Cress was glad Scarlet wasn't clingy like that. He didn't like to be tightly hugged, it always creeped him out a little. Cress didn't get much female attention, since other guys in the academy were way cooler than he was, so it always felt awkard when he was hugged.

Shaking off his uneasiness, they headed for the beach and found a place to set up a couple blankets and an umbrella. The day wasn't too hot, yet this area had low humidity which was nice. Standing on the shores he watched the ocean for a bit. His back turned to Scarlett, he figured she would just jump on in or something.

SD:

Swimming out to her Cress laughed a little. "Just look at everyone around you. If there were monsters in the ocean then everyone would be on the shores." He said floating a little. Laying on his back he floated gazing up at the clouds.

"I guess there are monsters in the ocean back where you live?" he asked making casual talk. Summoners and their SC's splashed about. The only 'monsters' that were here were the SC's themselves, other than that the waters were fine.

Cress was surprised she didn't make any comments about seeing a pregnant SC. He figured she would be full of questions, yet was glad she wasn't interested. Cress couldn't begin to imagine what it would be like to live with a pregnant Scarlett. Though he wouldn't be chastised for it, some Summoners and their SC's fell in love. It wasn't uncommon to see a summoner with an SC wife and children.

Back when he attended the academy, Cress had to learn about everything. Marriage to an SC actually was good for a Summoner because it boosted the magic of a summoer and any offspring they would have together would be strong. Of course they would fight alongside an SC, or take the SC's place if she felt like becoming a loving wife instead or got injured, in the ring. Being a Summoner was more than just fighting battles, after the SC was a person as well, having feelings and thoughts of their own.

Cress figured that if she ever wanted to have kids then it would be her decision mainly. Though still, she was a hardened battling warrior, it was sort of hard to picture Scarlett as the soft motherly type.

SD:

"Ahh really?! That's cool! I guess your kind and dragons got along?" he asked looking to where she was pointing. "Oh and..I'm sorry...I sort of dragged you to my world when I summoned you." Sitting up he floated a little.

"I hope you didn't have a husband or a family back home, you may never see it again. I feel so responsable sometimes, like was it the right thing to bring you here. Yet I appreciate the friendship you've given me. You're fun to be around Scarlett." he said looking away some.

That had been on his mind for quite a while. She didn't know this but he would sometimes watch her silently while she trained or interacted with the customs in his world. Sometimes he felt like sending her back, because he wondered if she was truely happy here, yet he would miss her and her urge to devour all the pillows he slept on.
