Then the lightning dragon took to the air and started diving down at more tentacles, trying to do as much damage as he could before it destroyed the castle.

He wasn't too terribly successful at keeping it away from their "castle", but Aksaja did manage to do some more damage that time around.

The next time around, he managed to actually deflect one of the tentacles - though now it was focused on him instead. Uh oh . . . .

Aksaja moved quickly to dodge a few swipes at him - and even though he got away, the tentacles took out more of the castle. Jack.

Moure looked to the spectator's area with an expression of, "No seriously what" and then back to the ocean as the tentacle rose.
Yup. That just happened.
The patchwork scrambled to find something to chuck at the massive death-machine that was the kraken limb, eyes settling onto the umbrella he'd used to slay the crab. Quickly. he grabbed it from where it had fallen, and climbed back up to his attack platform he'd built in the last round. He took aim, and then flung the umbrella point first at the tentacle. It hit pretty well, and the kraken seemed to not like it. It swept against part of his attack platform, probably trying to knock him off. Somehow both patchwork and platform stayed intact.

Moure frowned at the kraken's limb, half-wondering how it even knew where the caslte was and how it could hit it, since it's eyes were underwater with the rest of the body.
Too bad logic didn't deter the beastie.
Instead, Moure picked up the section of his attack platform that had been knocked off and patted it together, forming it into a solid, well, sort of solid, ball of sand. He took aim again, and then hefted the ball at the kraken. It was a little less effective than the umbrella, but still. Again the kraken swept out at him, forcing loose a chunk of the attack platform, but unable to do too much damage.

Moure picked up the chunk of attack platform that had been broken off in the last assult the kraken had launched, and quickly worked to make it a thick ball. The sand shaped, and Moure straightened up with his projectile in hand.
He gave it one more pat, and then aimed his shot and threw his sand ball.
But this time, the kraken was ready for it. He smashed it back toward Moure, and the patchwork could barely drop down fast enough to avoid having his head literally taken off. The ball practically carved through the surface of the sand-mountain behind him.
Well, so much for that tactic.

Seeing as the kraken seemed to be catching on (literally) to his plan of throwing sandballs, Moure quickly looked around for something else to throw. His eyes settled on a few more of the umbrellas, the ones that Edel had chucked at the crab eariler. They seemed worth a shot.
Swiftly, the undead ran over and hauled the lot of them back with him to the attack platform, picking up the most dangerous-looking one once he was there. Teeth set, he drew back his arm and put his sights on the kraken tentacle. He flung the umbrella like a harpoon, hoping it would act like one.
And act like a octopus-piercing harpoon it did. The tentacle flailed again at the attack platform, tearing a little more off, but somehow not pushing the patckwork or his supply of weapons off.

Moure picked up another of his pointed-ended, fancily decorated spears. They seemed like his best bet right now, and he'd use them for as long as he could. The patchwork felt it's balance, aligning it's length with his vision. He targeted the tentacle again.
With a snort of anger toward the kraken, he flung the umbrella-turned spear. It hit, and the kraken retaliated in the same fashion it had been doing before; sweeping toward the attack platform. This time though, Moure was ready, and stuck a umbrella pointing at an angle from the platform. The kraken only managed to tear off part of the platform before hitting the umbrella and retracting it's limb.

Clearly the umbrellas were the way to go, in this situation. Moure picked up another one, checking it's heft and feel. The long handle felt right for this sort of situation and the undead looked down it's shaft. It was straight, all the way down to the pointed topper.
Moure scowled as he realized that this was his last umbrella. His eyes narrowed, and he looked to the kraken's long limb. A determined look on his face, he drew back the 'spear' and flung it.
The kraken had other plans though. As the spear pierced it's tentacle, it writhed and pulled it out, snapping it in half. Then, it threw the pointed end back at Moure, the shaft taking off a corner of his platform while the undead just looked at it with an expression that was probably a mix of frustation and horror.
