Ash had been watching, lurking. Neither Aymet nor Thackery had yet gone up to acquire their clue. So he took the chance, after much reassuring himself that leaving the Cerberus boy alone for JUST a moment was okay, Ashford went up to Arel.
He took the slip of paper, skulking away immediately, glad to have his helm for the duration of the trials. There was no way he was taking the thing off unless someone lectured him and told he had to--
So the helm remained. As per the usual as of late, his skin was in sorry shape. White latex gloves had been replaced by black leather ones that went up his wrist. Perfectly pressed clothes, even if they mysteriously acquired bloodstains, as his clothing was wont to do.
He returned to his team, kneeling to hand Thackery the paper. He was their leader, after all, so it would be wise to consult him first.
"Here is the first clue," he murmured, nodding up at Aymet. "Thackery will show you after he reads it, I am sure. We must work together to find the answer, or we will fall behind."
Under the helm, his lips hardened into a grimace. "I intend to emerge victorious."

Yeah, that was definitely Sammy's 'why can I not punch things' face. "Well, this is more of a hint of things to come, but...it isn't a bad way to give us an idea of what we might be dealing with." the Pricolici noted, looking over the numbers again.
However, at Siddie's suggestion, Shehk seemed to also go ':O'. Quite literally that face, no better way to write it out. "That seems like the right way to go!" Shehk replied, grinning.
It was better than anything her brain was coming up with.

Malodore did its very best not to start laughing. "I sincerely do not think she is a spy - I remember her, I think, from my very first class with Infermiera Cricket." It peered at Spectrae. Yes, it vaguely recalled a ghoul with bandages, and wondering if she was enthusiastic or merely... simple. ... It had to admit, her current behavior really hadn't helped it narrow the field any. ((Sorry for not being able to help with this one, guys! Sundays are my busy days.))

Jericho stared at the mystery student as she actually... spoke? Well. He couldn't really tell if she was speaking or just making random a** noises. Turning to Riley, it looked like she was trying to decipher what had just been said as well. And quite frankly, the sudden laughter, threw him off guard. The translation did so even more. "She want's to what?" he asked before staring at the nergal student some more. Ok. That was. Weird. He took a step back and away from her.

Siddie pulled out her eyePhone and tapped at it. "I'll look it up, just a second - here, look!" She held the phone out, angling her screen so the rest of them could read it and smiling, pleased with her deduction.

Lizzy was, unfortunately, near to 'tearing hair out' frustrated; they were close! She could feel it! However, as they debated among themselves and tried to come up with the best logical answer, she couldn't help but think that they might be over thinking things; the fact that Barth was now falling asleep for the nth time since they started their discussion did not help her think at all.
Maybe she should have went with her 'put everyone sans Barth in maid outfits' idea; at least she would have more fun.
With time running out and still no sure solution, Lizzy sighed and scribbled down what seemed like the most logical answer they could come up with before walking over to the horseman. For a moment, she looked hesitant enough about the answer to turn around to walk back to the group, but somehow resigned herself to handing in the folded piece of paper.
Now to see if they got it right...

In all honesty, Gene had no clue who Bea and Danny were. She sought them out quickly though, and made quick introductions. She was never an awkward ghoul, and made friends fast. These two were very likable by her standards, they would work well together.
When Danny got the clue from Arel, she gave it the blankest of blank stares. "Uh-oh... I'm not the best with numbers..." Math had never been her best subject, nor puzzles. Crap...((BAHAHA FML HAD TO EDIT, I SUCK AT READING)

"Oooooh! I see, I see!" Shehk beamed, seeming to be more and more confident in Siddie's logic, even if there would be no way to know if they were right or not until the end.
Still, Shehk took a minute to write the number down on a piece of paper and handed it to Siddie. "Would you like to do the honors? Given that nobody else has any protests...?"

A still be-robed and damp-looking JD returned to FACE/OFF with the Trial representative. In one fist was a shiny golden piece of paper. It sparkled. He didn't know if it was the right answer. He didn't know if there were any right answers. But dogboy and hornface seemed pretty confident, and Macho Man Herryk the Savage hadn't punched anything irreparable, so he decided to be grateful for small victories. As he handed the note over, it lost it's glitter - but it's contents became legible. He stalked off. He'd see just what kind of a team he'd been saddled with soon. Until then, he planned on going back to bemoaning his fate internally.

Israfel just bobbed his head up and down, content to hug Lucien while wondering why the ponies didn't look like ponies really.

And so the lot of them trooped up to Aksaja's dorm, with Edel feeling the pressure build up as the minutes ticked by. There was a bit of debating going on, along with some hair tugging, face-pulling and moments of staring blankly at the piece of paper. The frost demon was starting to look rather dejected, hardly speaking a word as she racked her brains for that final breakthrough.
What on Halloween could it be?
There were times she was over-thinking things, even she knew that. Something in her gut would go “no no no” and it would be back to square one. Edel sat there with her fingers to her temples and she stared and stared and stared.
Then, something occurred to her. But was it plausible? Was the solution elegant enough? Nonetheless she scribbled it down and showed it to the rest of the room. Maybe it was because the rest didn't have a clue either, or perhaps it was because her face read : Disagree with me and die do it yourself, but there were no objections, a few shrugs and “yeah, let's go with that.”
It was unfortunate that Edel could only be as smart as her player.
And so the frost demon folded the slip of paper up and headed back down, handing it over to the Horsemen. She tried her best to look tired and nonchalant, but deep down inside, she really did care.

Angenora blinked as the other boil had waved to the dragon. She giggled lightly as he said heir group was 'Stakespear', not 'Shakespear'. "I must have wrote it down wrong, but that's the group I'm actually looking for. I think the boil who's the leader is called, Petro?" She asked looked at the boil up and down. She ran her fingers through her hair as she wondered if she was in the right group after all.

Team Splash Attack hadn't really gone anywhere. As the other groups left it cleared out enough where they could simply find a corner and seat themselves. Ulmuka was not much help, horrible with numbers as he was. The ghouls and Merope were a bit more focused and as time slipped past they were sure and then unsure and then completely boggled. The time was winding down and they went with the last solution they had come up with. Ulmuka, having not done much to help (he thought), at least offered to hand the answer in. The strix boil hurried to the stage and grinned widely at the horsemen, slipping her a piece of paper with a giggle.

Sepheran perked when it seemed Liannan had found their group, and it seemed they had already started to gather. Lowering her back down he smiled to himself before allowing her to take her place in her usual spot on top of his shoulder as he made his way towards the direction Liannan told him she saw them at. Her soft hisses guided him along until he finally was among them as well overhearing "stakespear" and "shakespear". "So we all made it after all," he grinned. "Well guys, I got this paper thingy...anyone know what it means?" Sepheran asked before handing the paper around so the others could see it.

Temes (aka Chuppi) wasn't exactly sure how she felt about joining the trials - well, she did know how she felt about it but the point of the matter was she needed to be there for her friends and well - that was about it. Chuppi was smart, sure, but she wasn't good at simple things that involved a lot of common sense (like puzzles or what have you) so when it came time to get near her team mates she felt bad that she wasn't going to be very useful during this branch of the trials. She was mostly there because she hoped, maybe, if they needed muscle and could provide. As a monster she was plenty strong - they had plenty of monsters and undead on this team, but she was also a Y2 like a few of the others so she hoped that would help as well.
Actually, Chuppi had no idea what she was doing and she bit her lower lip as she just followed along the lead of her team mates. Hopefully no one would be mad that her imput was very, very limited. (sorry sue I forget your new name ;;; )
