In my opinion medicinal drugs are generally only good for one thing, and that's keeping one alive or sane, long enough that they can learn to deal with the issue without the need of drugs. I used to be on anti-depressents, they were okay I guess, but then I learned to overcome it, and quit cold turkey. There's my two cents.

If I'm completely honest with myself I probably need to be on anti-depressants most days.
Also, I have 3 bipolar friends. sweatdrop I know that one of the medications friend takes is an anti-depressant. I'm not going to say to her get off it, saying it's a drug and she's a teenager, because I'd be scared to see what she'd do.

If I spent any more time with my shrink there was a very good chance I would have been diagnosed with bipolar. I had a friend who had it too, he also had ADHD.. it was scary sometimes.

My friends are basically fine once they're on their medication. If not, then Friend A wants to commit suicide, and Friend B is a complete b***h so I have to ignore her for the day. And Friend C just stays home because she can't face school. Since she's bipolar and has some sort of anxiety.

i don't think anyone should use them....i think you should deel with depression yourself .....you shouldn't rely on pills to help you ...you can help yourself if you have the will you can make it through anything...and every pill has a side effect..why would you want that ......like my friend is on em because of her parents and all they did was make her tired all the time and she doesn't enjoy the same things anymore they changed her....i hate that and knowing that they changed her they made her depression worse

I was put on Zoloft when I was 11..and after I was put on them I became depressed, I wasn't before.
I'm 14 now and my doctor took me off of them and I am still struggling with my depression but I have trouble because I am still addicted to the medication, and I have random withdraws. But it's getting better.
